My phone is not charging on NORDMÄRKE, what should I do?

Check that your phone is compatible with Qi technology. Place it precisely on the (+) symbol of the charger. Make sure that the wireless charging function is enabled in your phone settings. If the battery is completely discharged, wait a few minutes before charging begins.

The LED is flashing, what does this indicator mean?

A flashing LED indicates an error. This may be due to improper positioning of the device, a metal object between the charger and the phone, or overheating. Remove the phone, wait a few seconds, and reposition it correctly.

Is it normal for the charger to heat up?

Yes, it is normal for the charger and phone to heat up slightly during charging. They will gradually cool down once charging is complete. If heat is excessive, unplug the charger and contact IKEA support.

Can I use the charger with a protective case?

Thin cases (< 3 mm) generally do not interfere with charging. Thick, metal, or magnetic cases may prevent charging. Remove the case if charging does not start.

What power adapter should I use?

Use a USB adapter providing at least 5 V / 2 A. A lower power adapter may slow charging or not work. The adapter is not included with the NORDMÄRKE.

How do I clean the charger?

Unplug the charger from the outlet before cleaning. Use a damp cloth and wipe gently. Never immerse the charger in water and do not use abrasive products.

Is the charger compatible with recent iPhones?

Yes, the NORDMÄRKE is compatible with all devices using the Qi standard, including iPhones from iPhone 8 and later models.

Can I repair the charger myself?

No, do not attempt to repair the charger yourself. Opening or modifying the product may cause electric shock. In case of malfunction, contact your IKEA store.

The USB cable is damaged, can I replace it?

The USB cable is fixed and cannot be replaced. If the cable is damaged, the product must be disposed of and replaced as it is not repairable.

How far from my body can I use the charger?

To comply with radiofrequency exposure regulations, maintain a distance of at least 10 cm between the charger and your body during normal use.

Charger features

Instructions for use

- Connect the USB cable to the power adapter and plug it into the wall socket.

- For wireless charging, place the device to be charged on top of the plus sign (+) on the charger. The device must be placed directly over the plus sign (+) on the charger for the charging function to work optimally. Note that on some devices you may have to activate wireless charging in settings.

- If your battery is completely discharged, it may take a few minutes before it starts charging. This is entirely normal. You can see that the battery has begun charging

when the battery symbol appears on your phone.

LED indicator (see illustrations):

1. Power on: LED lights up for 3 seconds.
2. Charging: LED on.
3. Charging completed: LED off.
4. Error: LED flashes.

Good to know

• Devices may get warm during charging; this is completely normal and they will gradually cool down again after they are fully charged.
- Charging time may vary based on the device's battery capacity, charge level, the age of the battery and the temperature in the surrounding area.
- Charger storage temperature: -20°C to 25°C (-4°F to 77°F).
- Charger operating temperature: 0°C to 40°C (32°F to 104°F).
- Unplug the charger from the power source before cleaning and when it is not in use.

To clean the charger, wipe with a moist cloth.
