• This product shall not be used by children. Keep the product and its cord out of reach of children.
• This product can be used by persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the product in a safe way and understand the hazards involved.
  • Children shall not play with the product.
• A damaged power cord may only be replaced by the authorised service agent in order to avoid hazards.
• The product is not suitable for continuous operation. Please refer to Quantity and processing/setting table for operation and rest time.
  • Always disconnect the product from the supply if it is left unattended and before assembling, disassembling or cleaning.
• Switch off the product and disconnect from supply before changing accessories or approaching parts that move in use.

Safety Instructions

• Care shall be taken when handling the sharp cutting blades during cleaning.
• The product is designed for the preparation of normal household quantities in the home, or in household-like, non-commercial environments. Household-like environments include staff kitchens in shops, offices, agricultural and other small businesses or for use by guests at bed-and-breakfast establishments, small hotels and similar residential facilities.
• Clean the product and all other accessories after each use.
• Follow the instructions in the chapter Cleaning and care.
• Never pour boiling liquids or very hot food products into the blender!
• Caution! Ensure that the product is switched off before removing it from the stand.
• Care shall be taken when handling the sharp cutting blades, emptying the bowl and during cleaning.

Safety Instructions

1. Read this user manual thoroughly before first use and pass it on with the product. Pay attention to the warnings on the product and in this user manual. It contains important information for your safety as well as for the use and maintenance of the equipment.
2. Never leave the product unsupervised while it is switched on.
3. Do not place heavy objects on top of the product.
4. Never immerse electrical parts of the product in water during cleaning or operation. Never hold the product under running water.
5. Do not under any circumstances attempt (e.g. damage in power cord, product is dropped, etc.) to repair the product yourself. For servicing and repairs, please consult an authorised service agent.
6. The mains voltage must match the information on the rating label of the product.
7. Only unplug from the power socket can separate the product completely from the mains. Please be sure that the power plug is in operable condition.
8. Avoid damages to the power cord that may be caused by kinks or contact with sharp corners.
9. Keep this product including power cord and power plug away from all heat sources like for example, ovens, hot plates and other heat-producing products/objects.
10. Only unplug from the power socket by the plug itself. Do not pull on the cord.

Thanks for your purchase of a KOENIC product. Please read this manual carefully and keep it for future reference.

Intended Use

This product is intended for preparing fruit and vegetable juices (smoothies) by chopping fruits or vegetables in private household only. Any other use may result in damage to product or injuries. To avoid dangerous situations, do not use device for any purpose other than those described in the instructions. Improper use is dangerous and voids the warranty. The Imtron GmbH assumes no liability for damage to the product, for property damage or for personal injury due to careless or improper usage of the product, or usage of product which does not meet the manufacturer's specified purpose.

Before First Time Use

Remove the product and accessories carefully from the original packaging. Inspect the delivery contents for completeness and damages. Should the delivery contents be incomplete or damaged, contact your sales outlet immediately. After unpacking, please refer to chapter Cleaning and care.

Disposal

Do not dispose of this product as unsorted municipal waste. Return it to a designated collection point for the recycling of WEEE. By doing so, you will help to conserve resources and protect the environment. Contact your retailer or local authorities for more information.

Making Smoothie

Fig. Insert the ingredients to the mixing cup. Consider the 600 ml marking and do not overfill. When processing dry foods (e.g. carrots) add sufficient liquids.

Note:

• Precut solid/large ingredients into small pieces before you process them.
  • Do not process to big amounts at once.
• Remove skin, stems and stones before processing the food.
• Cut the ingredients into suitable pieces of approx. 15 x 15 mm.
• When processing foods of different consistencies at first fill the mixing cup with fruits with hard consistency and at last with soft and fruity consistency and liquid.
• In case pieces of food are fixed or jamming inside the mixing cup remove the bottle and shake it until those pieces are released. Attach the mixing cup and continue processing.

Warning! Do not shake the complete appliance with mixing cup assembled but always remove the mixing cup for doing so.

• Never process hard ingredients like nuts or big grain.
• Crush ice before processing. Do not use the product for crushing ice.
  • Always add liquids when processing fruits, vegetables and crushed ice.
• You can also use yoghurt, juice, milk, quark and ice cream for preparing smoothies.

Fig. Assemble cutting unit and mixing cup. Make sure not to jam the cutting unit and tighten it correctly to avoid leakage.

Warning

Do not continuously use the product. Let it cool down sufficiently before using it again. Are all ingredients blended as desired release the power button to turn off the product. Unplug the product.

Fig. Remove the mixing cup from motor unit by turning it against direction. Hold the mixing cup with the cutting unit up and unscrew the cutting unit.
Fig. You can decant the juice or close the mixing cup with the cap. The cap is provided with a closable outlet.

Note: The mixing cup can be used for storage after attaching the cap.

Cleaning and care

Warning

When cleaning, never use solvents or abrasive materials, hard brushes, metallic or sharp objects. Solvents are harmful to human health and can attack plastic parts, while abrasive cleaning mechanisms and tools may scratch the surface(s).

Fig. 8 Unplug the product and let it cool down completely before cleaning. Never immerse electrical parts of the product in water during cleaning or operation. Never hold the product under running water.

Note: We recommend to clean the product directly after use as residues from food can be easier removed.

Fig. 9 Clean the mixing cup, cap and cutting unit with warm water and dish liquid. Rinse it thoroughly afterwards. For cleaning the cutting unit hold it with the blades up and rinse it with running water. For removing persistent leftovers a brush may be used.

Warning

Do not touch the cutting blades. The blades are extremely sharp.

Clean the product's exterior surfaces with a slightly damp cloth and then dry them thoroughly. Make sure that no water enters the product interior (for example, through the switch). Keep the product in a dry, cool location which is protected against moisture and direct sunlight. Keep this product out of the reach of children.

If there are any problems during operation, please refer to the following table. If problems cannot be solved as indicated under Solution, please contact your manufacturer.
