Congratulations to the purchase of this Max Music product. Please read this manual thoroughly prior to using the product in order to benefit fully from all features.
Read the manual prior to using the product. Follow the instructions in order not to invalidate the warranty. Take all precautions to avoid fire and/or electrical shock. Repairs must only be carried out by a qualified technician in order to avoid electrical shock. Keep the manual for future reference.
- Prior to using the product, please ask advice from a specialist. When the unit is switched on for the first time, some smell may occur. This is normal and will disappear after a while.
- The unit contains voltage carrying parts. Therefore do NOT open the housing.
- Do not place metal objects or pour liquids into the product. This may cause electrical shock and malfunction.
- Do not place the product near heat sources such as radiators, etc. Do not place the unit on a vibrating surface. Do not cover the ventilation holes.
- The product is not suitable for continuous use.
- Be careful with the mains lead and do not damage it. A faulty or damaged mains lead can cause electrical shock and malfunction.
- When unplugging the product from a mains outlet, always pull the plug, never the lead.
- Do not plug or unplug the unit with wet hands.
- If the plug and/or the mains lead are damaged, they need to be replaced by a qualified technician.
- If the product is damaged to such an extent that internal parts are visible, do NOT plug the unit into a mains outlet and DO NOT switch the product on. Contact your dealer. Do NOT connect the product to a rheostat or dimmer.
- To avoid fire and shock hazard, do not expose the product to rain and moisture.
- All repairs should be carried out by a qualified technician only.
- Connect the product to an earthed mains outlet (220-240Vac/50Hz) protected by a 10-16A fuse.
- During a thunderstorm or if the product will not be used for a longer period of time, unplug it from the mains. The rule is: Unplug it from the mains when not in use.
- If the product has not been used for a longer period of time, condensation may occur. Let the unit reach room
temperature before you switch it on. Never use the product in humid rooms or outdoors.
- During operation, the housing may become hot.
- To prevent accidents in companies, you must follow the applicable guide lines and follow the instructions.
- Do not repeatedly switch the product on and off. This shortens the life time.
- Keep the unit out of the reach of children. Do not leave the unit unattended.
- Do not use cleaning sprays to clean switches. The residues of these sprays cause deposits of dust and grease. In case of malfunction, always seek advice from a specialist.
- Only operate the product with clean hands.
- Do not force the controls.
- If the product has fallen, always have it checked by a qualified technician before you switch the product on again.
- Do not use chemicals to clean the unit. They damage the varnish. Only clean the product with a dry cloth.
- Keep away from electronic equipment that may cause interference.
- Only use original spares for repairs, otherwise serious damage and/or dangerous radiation may occur.
- Switch the product off prior to unplugging it from the mains and/or other equipment. Unplug all leads and cables prior to moving the product.
- Make sure that the mains lead cannot be damaged when people walk on it. Check the mains lead before every use for damages and faults!
- The mains voltage is 220-240Vac/50Hz. Check if power outlet match. If you travel, make sure that the mains voltage of the country is suitable for this product.
- Keep the original packing material so that you can transport the product in safe conditions

UNPACKING INSTRUCTION
CAUTION! Carefully unpack the box upon receipt. Check the contents to ensure that all parts are present and have been received in good condition. Notify the shipper immediately and retain packaging material if any parts appear damaged from shipping or the package itself shows signs of mishandling. Save the package and all packaging materials. If the product must be returned, it is important that the product is returned in the original factory box and packaging. If the device has been exposed to drastic temperature fluctuation (e.g. after transportation), do not switch it on immediately. The arising condensation water might damage your device. Leave the device switched off until it has reached room temperature.
POWERSUPPLY
The label on the back/under side of the product indicates the mains voltage to which it must be connected. Check that the mains voltage corresponds to this. Any other voltage than the one indicated may cause irreparable damage to the unit. The unit must also be connected directly to the mains voltage and no dimmer or adjustable power supply may be used.

Always connect the device to a protected circuit (circuit breaker or fuse). Make sure the device has an appropriate electrical ground to avoid the risk of electrocution or fire.

FUNCTION KEYS
20. Function acces
Press and hold the three keys together to access the key functions. (A0, Bb0 and B0)
21. Sound select
Press and holt one of the main sound buttons to select a specific sound of the group
22. Demo song
Press to start/stop playing the demo song
23. Sound demo
Start/stop playing the sound demo of the current R1 sound
24. Sound 2 volume -/+
Adjust the volume level of sound 2 (R2/layer or L/Split)
25. Sound 2 octave -/+
Adjust the octave of Sound 2 (R2/layer or L/Split)
In function, press E2 and F2 at the same time to reset to the default octave setting
26. Twinova -/+
Turn the twinova on/off. Press to adjust the octave of both the left and right sections. In the twinova mode simultaneously press A2 and B2 to reset to the default octave setting
27. Touch
Press to set touch on/off. The default state is on
• 1: Soft 1
• 2: Soft 2
• 3: Medium
• 4: Hard 1
• 5: Hard 2
28. Transpose
Press to shift the pitch of the entire keyboard up or down by a maximum of one octave in semitone steps. Press A3 and B3 simultaneously to reset to the default transpose setting
29. Song
Press to start playing song nr 1-10
30. Metro
Turn the Metronome on/off. Press C#5 – F#5 to select the metronome beat. For example, when selecting 0, no accent will play. When selecting 2, you will get an accent of 2 beats
31. Tap
Press this key at an even speed to set the tempo
32. Tempo Value
If you wish to input a value under 100, please press 0 first ant the a 2-digit number. When entering a number lower than 5 or above 320, the piano will set the tempo to 5 or 320
33. Tempo 0-9
Press to increase or decrease the tempo value by the step of 1
In tempo function, press A5 and B5 at the simultaneously to reset to default tempo
34. Reverb -/+
Turn the reverb on/off. Press to adjust reverb level up or down. When in reverb function, press D7 and E7 simultaneously to reset to the default reverb setting
35. Local control
Press to set local control function on or off.
On: this instrument will work alone as a master keyboard
Off: this instrument will be controlled by connected device. It will not produce sound when you play, but will output MIDI
message
Note: Local control function by default is on
36. Guide
Press to turn the guide on/off that produces a beep sound when Function commands are used
37. Headphone jack
When connecting headphones to the PHONES/OUTPUT port, the loudspeaker will be disenabled automatically. You can perform without disturbing others.

CONNECTIONS
1. USB PORT
Connect the keyboard to another MIDI compatible device. Transfer information with computer in both direction such as you can store the music that you played on his keyboard to the computer.
2. SUSTAIN PEDAL JACK
The function of sustain can produce natural sustain by stepping upon sustain pedal when you perform. Please insert the plug of
sustain pedal into SUS PEDAL jack. You can open/close the sustain function through the sustain pedal plug.

SUSTAIN LINE OUT AUX IN 12V ① ② ③ ④ ⑤3. LINE OUT
This piano has built-in speaker system. It can be connected with other external amplifier or speaker system. First turn off the power of piano and the external equipment, then insert one end of stereo audio cable into LINE IN or AUX IN jack of other hi-fi equipment and insert the other end into LINE OUT jack in the rear panel of the piano.
4. AUX IN
Connect an external audio source such as an MP3 player.
5. DC INPUT
Socket for plugging in the supplied 12V adapter.
BEFORE YOU START
POWERSUPPLY:
• Using AC-DC adapter:
Use the special power adapter that is equipped with this electronic keyboard. Insert the DC 12V plug or power adaptor into the DC 12V power jack in the rear panel of the electronic keyboard, insert the other end into Main socket, turn on power switch and start performance.
• Using batteries: (not included):
Open the battery compartment cover located on the bottom panel of the Electronic keyboard. Insert 6 pcs AA batteries, being carefully to follow the polarity marking on the cabinet. Replace the compartment cover, making sure that it locks firmly in place.
- Place the music stand in the keyboard slot.
PLAYING SOUNDS
- Press and hold one of the sound buttons. The corresponding sound LED lights up. Press the same sound button repeatedly to circulate through the selected group and select a sound (refer to the list for different sounds).
- Press and hold a sound button, the corresponding led lights up. Then press C1-E1 to select a specific sound from the group

Press and hold a sound button and press another to turn on the layer function. The corresponding sound LED's light up. The first sound you press will be set as the upper sound (R1), and the second sound you press will be set as the layer sound (R2).
Using Split:
Press and hold two sound buttons respectively, then press a key on the keyboard to assign as the split point. The corresponding sound LED's light up after releasing the buttons
Turn off layer/split:
Press a sound button other than the currently active ones. The layer/split function will be turned off. The newly pressed sound will be selected and the corresponding LED lights up.
Notes:
- If you press few keys when assigning the split point, it will set the last key you press as the split point.
- The layer and the split functions cannot be used at the same time
TWINOVA
Twinova function splits the keyboard into two areas with the same sound and octave range, for the convenience of playing together with a friend or an instructor.
Turning Twinova on/off:
When in Twinova function press the key (Bb2) to turn Twinova on or off. The split point is E4/F4.
Selecting a Sound for Twinova:
The upper sound selected before entering Twinova will become the default sound for both areas. You can still use the sound buttons to select a desired sound in Twinova mode.
Note:
The Twinova mode and layer/split functions cannot be used at the same time. During song playback, Twinova Is not selectable
