GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS

This document contains important information and must be kept for future reference.

Please read thoroughly before commencing installation as incorrect installation can be dangerous.

Only use the parade™ for children between 7.3kg/16lbs and 18kg/40lbs.

CLEANING & CARING

Check the parade™ for cuts & bruises. If your product is damaged in any way, or you're not sure how to use it, please consult our web support (www.philandteds.com/support) from where you can access a local customer care team.

Caring for parade™

Unlike children, your parade™ likes to stay clean.

• In case of little accidents, sponge wash with a wet cloth. The parade™ may be hand-washed
• Do not tumble dry. Do not use any solvent or bleach based product These may harm the materials. Line dry.
• Dry the parade™ thoroughly before storage. Store in a well ventilated space away from direct sunlight which could damage or fade the parade's colourful coat.
• NOTE: Improper care will void any warranties. Do not use the parade™ if deterioration is detected or suspected.

IMPORTANT

• The parade™ is not for carrying the kitchen sink! No hard or sharp objects please; they hurt!
• Its important to fit your child correctly in the carrier.
• Adjust straps to firmly & securely fit the body of your child. This may need adjusting further if additional clothes are added or removed.
• With the carrier fold-out base extended place the carrier on flat, stable ground.

WARNINGS

American Safety Standard states:

Read all instructions before assembling and using the frame child carrier.

• Do not use carrier with a child weighing less than 16lb or more than 40 lb.
• Do not use carrier if child cannot sit upright unassisted.
• Do not place carrier on counter tops, tables, or other elevated surfaces.
• Check and ensure that all buckles, snaps, straps, and adjustments are secure before each use.

WARNING—FALL OR STRANGULATION HAZARD

Avoid serious injury from falling or sliding out. Always use child retention system.

WARNINGS

European safety standard EN 13209-2:2005 states:

• This carrier is intended from when the child can sit-up unaided (6 months old), until a maximum weight of 18 kg.
• This carrier is intended for use with one child at a time.
• WARNING: WARNING – Do not leave the child unattended in this carrier!
• WARNING: – Do not use until the child can sit unaided

• WARNING: – When the child is in the carrier, it could be in a position higher than the carer. Care should therefore be taken to be aware of hazards; e.g. door frames, low branches of trees etc.

• WARNING: – When using the carrier the carer shall be aware of the following:
  -The carer's balance may be adversely affected due to movement of the child and also the carer;
  -The carrier is suitable for use when undertaking leisure activities but not for sports activities;
  -Care should be taken when putting on or removing the carrier.
  -The child's harness in the carrier must be securely fastened and adjusted

• The child in the carrier can become tired – it is recommended that frequent breaks are taken.
• Be aware that the child in the carrier may suffer from the effect of the weather and temperature before you do.
• Care should be taken to avoid injury to the

child's feet when the carrier is on or near the floor

- Only use accessories or replacement parts provided by the manufacturer. This carrier is intended to be used during leisure activities – it is not recommended for use during sporting activities.
