caring for nest ^™

unlike your children, your nest™ likes to stay clean.

• wipe the nest ^TM down with a damp sponge.
• do not submerse the nest ^TM in water. let the nest ^TM air dry.
• do not use any harsh soap, solvents, bleach or detergents which may harm the nest's materials.
• do not wring. dry your nest ^TM thoroughly before storage.
• store in a well ventilated space, away from direct sunlight (which can harm and fade fabric), and moisture.
• improper care will void any warranties. do not use the nest ^TM if deterioration is detected or suspected.

WARNING

- This product is only suitable for a child who cannot sit up unaided. • Do not let other children play unattended near the nest™ and the stand. • Do not use if any part of nest™ or stand is broken, torn or missing. • Use nest™ and stand only on a firm, horizontal level and dry surface. • Be aware of the risk of open fire and other sources of strong heat such as electric bar fires, gas fires etc in the vacinity of the nest™ and stand. • Do not leave your child unattended. • Suffocation Hazard: Infant carrier can roll over on soft surfaces and suffocate child. NEVER place the nest on beds sofas or other soft surfaces. • Use only for one child weighing no more than 9kg. • To help prevent falls, do not use this product when the infant begins to push up on hands and knees or has reached the recommended maximum weight. • Check that the

stand is of the appropriate size to accommodate the base of the nest™. The stand is designed to accommodate a carrycot of 9kg/20lbs • When the stand is not in use store it away from children. • Before lifting or carrying, make sure that the handles are in the correct position of use. • Use ONLY the pad provided by manufacturer. Do not add another mattress on top of the mattress provided or recommended by the manufacturer. • To reduce the risk of SIDS, paediatricians recommend healthy infants be placed on their backs to sleep, unless otherwise advised by your physician. • Strings can cause strangulation, do not suspend strings over the nest™ or attach strings to toys. • Do not place items with a string around a child's neck such as hood strings or pacifier cords. • Use only replacement parts supplied by the manufacturer. • Check the handles and bottom of nest™ regularly for signs of damage and wear. If applicable, do not leave flexible carrying handles inside the nest™. • The head of the child in the nest™ should never be lower than the body of the child.

WARNING

Canadian Safety Standard states:

- For assembly instructions, refer to pouch at base of product. • Caregivers must ensure that the nest™ is safe by checking regularly, before placing the child in it, that every part is properly and securely in place. • Do not use the nest™ if you cannot exactly follow the accompanying instructions that are located in a pouch at the base of the nest™. • Do not use the nest™ for a child who can roll over or who has reached the manufacturer's recommended weight limit. • Do not place in or near the nest™ any cord, strap or similar item that could become wrapped around a child's neck. • Do not place the nest™ near a window or a patio door where a child could reach the cord of a blind or curtain and be strangled. • Check this bassinet regularly before using it and do not use it if any parts are loose or missing or if there are any signs of damage. Do not substitute parts. Contact the manufacturer if replacement parts or additional instructions are needed. • Use a bassinet mattress that is no thicker than 3.8 cm

and is of such a size that, when it is pushed firmly against any side of the nest ^TM , it does not leave a gap of more than 3 cm between the mattress and any part of the sides of the bassinet. • Children can suffocate on soft bedding. Do not place pillows, comforters or soft mattresses in the nest ^TM .
