What batteries to use and how to install them?

Use 2 AA batteries (not included). Open the battery compartment cover (8), insert the batteries respecting polarity, then close the cover. Make sure the device is turned off before operation.

How to clean the fabric shaver?

Turn off the device and remove the batteries. Unscrew the reservoir cover (1) and the protective grid (2) counterclockwise. Remove the blade (3). Use the provided brush (9) to clean the cover, blade, and mechanism. Empty the reservoir (4). Wipe the body with a damp cloth. Never immerse the device in water.

Can I use this shaver on all types of fabric?

It is suitable for most clothing, curtains, blankets, and upholstered furniture. For delicate fabrics, fold two layers and shave on a flat surface. Always do a test on an inconspicuous area before use.

Is it safe to use on a garment you are wearing?

No, never use the device on a worn garment: it could cause injury. The garment should be laid flat.

How to replace the blade?

The blade (3) is a consumable part. To replace it, remove the cover and grid, then slide out the worn blade. Insert a new blade in the correct direction. The blade is not covered by warranty.

What to do if the device stops working?

First check that the protective grid (2) is properly mounted, as the device will not work if it is loose. Also ensure the batteries are installed and not depleted. If the problem persists, contact an authorized service center.

1. The device is designed to operate at a household, do not use the unit for purposes other than those enumerated in the manual.

INTENDED USE

The GDS7 shaver is designed to refresh various types of clothing and fabrics. Removing so called flocs or fuzz from the material makes it look fresh again. The device can be used not only on clothes, but also on curtains, blankets or upholstered furniture.

BATTERY REPLACEMENT

• Make sure the device is turned off.
• Remove the cover (8).
• Remove the used batteries and insert a new one, paying attention to polarity.
• Replace the cover (8).

Used batteries should be disposed of according to the applicable provisions of law.

HANDLING

• Carefully replace the guard (2) and the container cover (1) before starting.
• Do not switch on the shaver when the guard (2) is loose.

CAUTION. The device does not work if the guard (2) is incorrectly fitted.

• The shaver starts working when you press the switch (6).
  • Gently glide the shaver along the flat of the garment.
• To switch the appliance off, press the switch (6) again.

GUIDELINES

• Do not shave clothes in case clothes are at a body. It may cause wounds on a body.
• Before use try the unit on a hidden part of a cloth.

• When shaving clothes pay special attention to:

• areas around buttons and zips,

• protruding parts,
• connections — sews,
• object glued to clothes,

• delicate parts.

• Move the unit acc. to a pattern on a cloth.

• If required move the unit alongside – vertically and horizontally.
• In case of 'flat' materials lay two layers of a cloth and shave them on an iron board.
• Do not switch the unit on when it is unnecessary, it may result in reduced life of the shield and the blade.

MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING

• When the container is approx. 80% full clean it and internal blades as well.
• Before cleaning unplug the unit and switch it off.
• Do not merge the unit in water.
• To not use abrasive or other damaging cleaning agents.
• Clean the casing with a wet cloth.
• Remove the lid (1) and cover (2) by unscrewing them counterclockwise,
• Remove the blade (3).
• Using a little brush (9) clean the casing, blade and the drive mechanism.
• Empty the container (4).
• Be careful then removing and cleaning the blade (3) since it is sharp
• Be gentle when cleaning the metallic foil of the casing (2). Do not press it.
