Frequently Asked Questions - 302318 Aplic

What types of hard drives can I use with this docking station?
The Aplic 302318 docking station supports 2.5-inch and 3.5-inch hard drives with SATA interface.
How to use the cloning function?
Insert the source disk (to be cloned) into HDD1 bay and the target disk (at least equal capacity) into HDD2. Turn on the device, then press the Clone button twice. The indicator shows progress. Disconnect the USB cable during cloning.
Can I connect the docking station to a laptop without external power?
No, power is required because the station uses 12V, 2.5A. The USB cable alone does not provide enough power for 3.5-inch drives.
Why does my computer only recognize one disk after cloning?
After cloning, both disks have the same designation. In Windows, go to Disk Management, right-click the desired volume and choose Change Drive Letter and Paths to distinguish them.
Is it possible to clone a smaller disk to a larger one?
Yes, provided the target disk has at least the same capacity as the source disk. The target disk will be erased before cloning.
Is the docking station compatible with SSDs?
Yes, it supports hard drives and SSDs in 2.5 or 3.5 inch format with SATA interface.
What to do if the station does not turn on?
Check that the power adapter is properly connected to the station and to a working outlet. Press the Power button on the front panel.
Can I use the station to read data without cloning?
Yes, simply connect the station via USB to your computer, insert a hard drive, and turn it on. The disks will appear as external drives.
How to clean the docking station?
Unplug the device and clean it with a dry, lint-free cloth. Do not use liquid or abrasive products.
Where can I find spare parts if needed?
Spare parts are not provided by the manufacturer. In case of issues, please contact Aplic customer service or your retailer.
