General Safety Instructions
- Manufacturer takes no responsibility for any damage caused by incorrect use.

- Before connecting this appliance to the mains, make sure your local voltage matches the technical data of the appliance. Otherwise the appliance may overheat and get damaged.

Special Safety Instructions

Warning! To avoid the possibility of injury/damage to the appliance, electric shock, risk of fire and burns!
- Only use the appliance for its intended purpose and as described in this manual.
- Place the appliance on an even and heat-resistant surface.
- Attention: The temperature of accessible surfaces may be high during operation. Therefore, do not touch the appliance during and/or immediately after operation. Only use the handle. Danger of serious burns!
- Do not move the appliance during operation.
- Always use a flat wooden or plastic spatula to remove the sandwiches, etc. Never use any sharp or metal objects (e.g. knife, metal spatula, etc.) as they would damage the non-stick coating of the plates.
- Adhere to a safety distance around the appliance.
- Do not use the appliance close to or under inflammable objects, e.g. curtains, wall cabinets
- Always unplug the appliance after use and let it completely cool down before cleaning.

Min MaxDuring operation, an integrated thermostat switches the appliance on and off to ensure a constant temperature. This is indicated by the green indicator light cycling on and off.
Before First Use
- Remove all packaging material and check whether the appliance is complete.
- Place the appliance on an even, non-slippery and h resistant surface.
- Fully unwind the power cord (10) and connect the appliance to a properly installed wall socket.

Note: The grill plates (5) have a protective coating. To remove the protective layers on the heating elements, heat up the grill plates (without food) for a few minutes.
This could cause a slight build-up of smoke and odou. This doesn't cause any harm nor does it mean that your appliance does not work properly. Make sure that the room is well ventilated!
After this preheating process your Contact Grill is ready for operation. Let it completely cool down and clean it as described under Cleaning and Care.

Warning: Plastic bags are a danger to toddlers and es, therefore keep them away to avoid suffocation.
Operation
Your Contact Grill can toast sandwiches/paninis and broil foods. Always make sure to insert the fat collecting tray before usage.

The temperature of accessible surfaces may be high, ing operation. Therefore, do not touch the appliance ing and/or immediately after operation.
Tip: Prepare all ingredients in advance before switching on the appliance.
Toasting Sandwiches / Paninis
- Place the appliance on an even, non-slippery and heat resistant surface.
- Connect the appliance to a properly installed wall socket.
- The red indicator light (3) lights up and the heating process starts.
- As soon as the necessary temperature is reached the green indicator light (3) lights up as well. Your Contact Grill is now ready for operation.
- To open the lid and to unlock the appliance, push the safety latch forward and then pull the handle upwards.
- Place your prepared sandwich / panini onto the lower grill plate (5) of the contact grill.
- Close the lid (1) by using its handle (2).

The desired browning level can be controlled by the literature control switch (4).

Always make sure that you have inserted the fat setting tray underneath the appliance before usage.
Tip: To guarantee a even browning process grease either the grill plates with some oil / butter or butter the outside of the resp. bread or toast slices.
- After 3 – 8 minutes your sandwich / panini will be ready. Open the appliance and check whether your sandwich / panini is toasted according to your liking.
- To remove your sandwich / panini use a wooden or plastic spatula to avoid damage to the non-stick coating of the plates.
- After use, always disconnect the appliance from the mains and let it completely cool down.

The upper and the lower grill plates are always positioned parallel to each other due to the movable mount of the appliance.
Broiling
When broiling your food, you can either choose to have the lid closed or open at 180^ .
Broiling at 180° - Table Grill
Perfect for broiling larger quantities of food or different foods at the same time.
- Unlock the appliance by pushing the safety latch (6) forward.
- Open the lid (1) by using its handle (2).
- Push the 180^ release button (7) forward and pull handle (2) upwards to unlock the hinge. Now the appliance can be opened up completely.

Thermostat

Attention: The temperature control is continuously able.

During operation, the integrated thermostat switches appliance on and off to ensure a constant temperature. is indicated by the green indicator light (3) cycling on off.
Turning the appliance off
To turn the appliance properly off the power cord must be disconnected from the mains after each use. It is not enough to switch the temperature control knob (4) to MIN.

Caution! Make sure the appliance is shut off rugged! Danger of electric shock.

Warning: This appliance should only be connected to properly installed wall socket and should not be operated by means of an external timer or separate remote-control item.
Cleaning and Care
Due to hygienic reasons clean the appliance after each use, and remove any food residues. Not doing so could possibly result in a hazardous situation.

Before cleaning, always switch off the , disconnect it from the mains and let it ly cool down.
Never immerse the appliance in water. Danger! Electric Shock!
Clean the appliance and the grill plates (5) with a moistened soft cloth. Dry the entire appliance and all parts well after cleaning.
Do not use any aggressive cleaning agents and/or other hard objects to clean the appliance.
Do not allow stains to dry. To remove food residues apply some cooking oil on the grill plates (5) and leave it on for some time. Afterwards, wipe the grill plates (5) with a moistened soft cloth.
The fat collecting tray (9) can be cleaned in warm water using some dishwashing detergent.

Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by ren without supervision.
Storage
Disconnect the appliance from the mains after each use and let it completely cool down.
Keep the appliance away from children and store it in a clean and dry place.
Disposal Instructions

Waste electrical devices marked with this sign must not be disposed of with your household waste, but are to be collected separately. Therefore, please return this device at the end of its life cycle to special collection points for disposal or your local dealer.
Your Contact Grill 46150 is packed in a retail box. Such boxes are recyclable waste, i.e. they are reusable or recyclable.
