Important safety guidelines for this device

To ensure safe operation, the user has to follow the safety instructions given in this user manual!

• The device is meant exclusively for personal use and for the intended purpose.
• The warranty will be void in the event of damage caused by not following these safety instructions! We do not assume any liability for any resulting damage!
• We do not assume any liability for material and personal damage caused by improper handling

or not following the safety instructions. In such cases the warranty is void.

• Operate the product only with the voltage indicated on the device label.
• Keep the device out of the reach of children!
• Please do not operate in covered condition!
• Do not use a hammer or tool on the string lights, as this may damage the LEDs.
• Operate the device only with the voltage indicated on the device label.
• If a safe operation can no longer be ensured, the string light has

to be switched off and secured against unintended operation!

Safe operation can no longer be ensured if:

• the string lights stop working.
• the string lights is visibly damaged.
• it has been stored for a long duration under unfavourable conditions or severe transport stresses can not be ruled out.

Important notes on batteries

- Batteries should be kept out of the reach of children. Never leave the batteries lying around. There is a risk of batteries being swallowed by children or pets.

- Batteries should never be short-circuited, dismantled or thrown into fire. There is a risk of explosion!

- Leaking or damaged batteries may cause burns if they come into contact with the skin. Use suitable safety gloves in such cases.

- Only batteries of the same type should be used when replacing the batteries.

• Ensure that the polarity is correct when inserting the batteries.
• When it is not being used for an extended duration (e.g, storage), remove the batteries to avoid damage from leaking batteries.

3. Usage

The light chain is designed for permanent use in protected outdoor areas. The string lights can be flexibly switched on and off using the switch. You can select 8 different modes using the remote control provided, turn the device on and off, and dim the light intensity.

4. Initial use and installation

1. Take the device out of the package and remove all the packaging material.

2. Lay the string light out. Find a suitable location for installation.

3. Lay the string lights, for example, around a bush or shrub. Make sure that the lights are not immersed in water (e.g., garden pond).

4. The string light is switched on in the "ON" mode (continuous light). The string lights will flash continuously. If you press the switch again, the string lights will be switched off again ("OFF" mode).

5. Replacing the batteries (maintenance)

If the batteries are empty, they need to be replaced.

1. Open the battery compartment and remove the batteries.

2. Insert new batteries into the battery compartment. Always pay attention to the correct polarity of the contacts.

3. Then close the battery compartment.

Note: Make sure that you do not use 1.2V rechargeable batteries, otherwise the intensity of the string lights may not be sufficient.

6. Cleaning

Make sure that the solar unit is always clean and not dirty. Use only a soft cloth and never use any aggressive cleaning agents which could damage the surface.

7. Safety instructions and disclaimer

Never try to open the device to repair or make modifications. Avoid contact with the mains voltage. Do not short-circuit the product. Protect it from high humidity, water and snow. Keep the device away from high temperatures. Do not expose the device to sudden changes in temperature or strong vibrations, as this could damage the electronic components. Check the device for any damage before using it. The device should not be used if it was subject to impact or has been damaged in some other manner.

Please comply with the local regulations and restrictions. Do not use the device for purposes other than those described in the user manual. This product is not a toy. Keep it out of the reach of children or mentally disabled persons. Any repair

or modification to the device, which is not carried out by the original supplier, will void any warranty and guarantee claims.

The device should only be used by those who have read and understood this user manual. The specifications of the device may be changed without any special prior notification.

8. Disposal instructions

In line with the European WEEE directive, electrical and electronic devices should not be disposed of along with domestic waste. Their components must be sent for recycling or disposal separately, as improper disposal of toxic and dangerous components could permanently damage the environment.

According to the electrical and electronic equipment act (ElektroG), you are obliged (as a consumer) to return (free of charge) electrical and electronic devices to the manufacturer, the point of sale or public collection points at the end of their service life.

The relevant local laws regulate the details in this regard. The symbol displayed on the product, in the user manual or/and on the packaging refers to these regulations. With this manner of sorting, recycling and disposal of used devices, you make an important contribution towards protecting our environment.

9. Instructions for battery disposal

In conjunction with the sale of batteries along with the supply of devices that include batteries, the supplier is obliged to point out the following to the customer: The customer is legally obliged to return used batteries. He can return used batteries which the supplier offers or has offered as new batteries in his assortment free of charge to the supplier's dispatch warehouse (shipping address). The symbols shown on the batteries indicate the following: Pb = battery contains more than 0.004 percent lead by weight, Cd = battery contains more than 0.002 percent cadmium by weight, Hg = battery contains more than 0.0005 percent mercury by weight.

The symbol of the crossed-out dustbin means that the battery should not be disposed of in household waste.
