Intended use

This Hand mixer is intended for kneading dough, mixing liquids (e.g., fruit juices) and whipping cream. It is only suitable for foodstuffs. All other usages or modifications are regarded as contrary to the operating instructions and contain a great risk of accidents.

The manufacturer declines to accept responsibility for damage(s) arising out of usage contrary to the instructions specified below. Not for commercial use.

This appliance is designed for HOME USE ONLY and may not be used for commercial or industrial purposes.

General Safety Instructions

When using electrical appliance, basic safety precautions should always be followed, including the following:

  • Do not use the appliance with wet hands. If the appliance is humid or wet, unplug it immediately.
  • When cleaning or putting it away, switch off the appliance and always pull out the plug from the socket (pull the plug itself, not the lead) if the appliance is not being used and remove the attached accessories.
  • Do not operate the machine without supervision. If you leave the room, you should always turn the device off. Remove the plug from the socket.

Children and Frail Individuals

  • Do not allow small children to play with the foil as there is a danger of suffocation!
  • The appliance may be used by children 8 years or older and by persons with reduced physical or mental capabilities, if they are under supervision or if they have been instructed in the use of the appliance in a safe manner and understand the potential risks. Children must not carry out cleaning and maintenance of the appliance, unless they are 8 years or older and under supervision. Children younger than 8 years have to be kept away from the appliance and its power supply.
  • Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.

Special safety instructions

  • Make sure that the voltage on the appliance rating plate corresponds to that of the mains electricity.
  • Never leave the appliance unattended when connected to the power supply; unplug it after every use.
  • Never place the appliance on or close to sources of heat.
    • Always place the appliance on a flat, level surface during use.

Description of the appliance

Instructions for use

General Information

  • Before the appliance is used for the first time, all attachments and accessory parts must be cleaned.
  • Fit the beaters or kneading hooks into the drive opening of the mixer unit. The beaters with the geared ring must be fitted into the smaller opening.
  • Use your thumb to switch on the unit.
  • When you have finished mixing or if you wish to interrupt the operation, switch off first before lifting the attachments out of the mixture.

Beaters

For light and liquid mixtures such as crèmes, mashed potatoes, egg white or cream, insert one or both beaters into the openings on the underside of the blender and push them gently upwards until they lock into place.

Kneading hooks

For kneading dough, the dough hooks must be used. The hook with the integrated plate must be inserted into the larger opening.

Ejecting the attachments

The beaters or dough hooks are automatically detached when pressing the eject button.

Short-time operation

The appliance is designed to process average domestic quantities of food. When using the high-speed level, the unit should not be operated continuously for more than 3 minutes. Switch off the appliance afterwards and allow the motor to cool down.

Multistage switch

The unit is equipped with a multistage switch. The following settings are available:

0 - The unit is switched off
1 - Very low speed, good starting speed for mixing "soft" ingredients such as flour, butter, etc
2 - Low speed, best speed for blending liquid ingredients.
3 - Medium speed, optimum speed for mixing cake and bread dough.
4 - Medium high speed, for whipping butter to form fine foam, sugar, for desserts etc.
5 - High speed, for beating meringue, cake jelly, whipped cream etc.

Turbo - This button allows you to have the full power of your appliance immediately at your disposal.

How to use

IMPORTANT: MAKE SURE THAT THE ATTACHMENTS ARE FITTED CORRECTLY BEFORE USING THE APPLIANCE.

  1. Push the beaters or the kneading hooks into the insertion slots until they are safely and audibly engaged.
  2. Insert the power plug into a wall power socket.
  3. To set the mixer to work, push the speed switch to the desired speed setting. You can select between 5 speed settings and, additionally, the turbo button.
  4. Press the eject button to unfasten the beaters or the kneading hooks.

IMPORTANT: To prevent the motor from overheating, do not operate the appliance continuously for more than 3 minutes, first stop it for at least 5 minutes, leaving it to cool down to room temperature.

NOTE: Start mixing at the slowest speed, gradually increasing to the required level. For kneading, we recommend using the higher speed settings.

Cleaning and Care

  • Before cleaning any part on the hand mixer, set the speed selector to the 0 position. Then unplug the mains cable from the wall socket and release the rods. Make sure to dry all of the parts before reusing them.
  • The rods can be washed in hot soapy water or in the dishwasher. The hand mixer motor housing and the mains cable should be wiped clean with a damp cloth.
  • To remove stubborn stains, clean with a cloth slightly dampened with soapy water or a mild, non-abrasive, cleaning agent. Finish off with a clean damp cloth.
  • Do not use abrasive cleaning products.
    • DO NOT IMMERSE THE HAND MIXER OR CABLE IN WATER OR ANY OTHER LIQUID.
