Product details Lid opener Handle Display 188 M: 40°C M2 80°C M3 90°C BOL W/NW "MODE" key ON/OFF button Base/base plate4. Initial use
Check that the product and the components are intact and that the appliance is working properly when using it for the first time Remove the kettle and the base plate out of the packaging and connect the base plate to a properly installed earthed socket.
Wipe the surface of the kettle using a slightly dampened cloth. To remove any manufacturing residues, fill the water container once with cold water up to the maximum mark before using it for the first time. Boil the water by pressing the "ON/OFF" button and then pour it out.
This appliance is intended for domestic use and other similar applications such as: in the staff kitchen in shops, offices and other business areas, in agricultural properties, by customers in hotels, motels and other residential facilities, as well as in B&Bs. Do not operate the appliance unattended and check it for damage before using it each time.
5. Usage
Press the lid opener to open the tiltable lid. Fill the kettle with cold water and press the lid down until it locks into place.
Note: A scale is provided on the inside. Do not fill the container above the maximum mark. The boiling water may spurt out if the kettle is overfilled.
Then, place the kettle on the base plate.
5.1 Boiling water directly
If you want to boil the water directly to 100^ C, then press the "ON/OFF" button. The "BOIL" icon flashes for about 4 seconds in the display. The kettle then indicates the start of boiling by beeping 2 times.

Important! Boiling can be cancelled at any time by pressing the ON/OFF button again!
Once the water reaches the target temperature, the kettle indicates it by beeping 3 times. The heating element switches off automatically and the boiling process is stopped. The appliance can now be lifted and the water can be used.
5.2 Heating water based on target temperature (40/80/90°C)
To heat the water to the desired target temperature, press the "Mode" button (≡).
The kettle flashes the currently selected temperature and the "BOIL" mode on the display. The following temperatures are available for selection: M1 - 40°C, M2 - 80°C and M3 - 90°C.
As long as the temperature display is flashing, another temperature can be changed/selected. The heating process starts automatically after 4 seconds of inactivity or if no other button is pressed. Alternatively, it can be started immediately by pressing the "ON/OFF" button.
If the process was started, the currently measured temperature is shown at the top of the display. This means that you can always keep track of the progress.

Important: If you find that the heating element is switching off even though the target temperature has not been reached, then this is not an error. The kettle carries out intermediate measurements and can better control the temperature profile.
5.3 Keep warm function – Heat the water and keep it warm for 30 minutes (40/80/90°C).
The Keep warm function keeps the water warm at the previously set target temperature (40/80/90 °C) for 30 minutes.
Note: The keep warm function is not provided at 100^ C for technical reasons.
To put the kettle into the keep warm mode, the display must be active first (large temperature display is visible). Press the "MODE" button once briefly.
The kettle flashes the currently selected temperature and shows the "BOIL" mode on the display. To now activate the keep warm mode, press and hold the "MODE" button again.
The display changes from "BOIL" to "WARM". The kettle has now been successfully changed to the keep warm function.
The following temperatures are available for selection: M1 - 40°C, M2 - 80°C and M3 - 90°C.
As long as the temperature display is flashing, another temperature can be changed/selected using the "MODE" button. The heating process starts automatically after 4 seconds of inactivity or if no other button is pressed. Alternatively, it can be started immediately by pressing the "ON/OFF" button. If the process was started, the currently measured temperature is shown at the top of the display.
This means that you can always keep track of the progress. The set temperature is maintained for 30 minutes by occasional warming. Afterwards, the kettle switches off automatically.
6. Body LED display on the side/display
• Shows the currently measured temperature and the mode.
- Is automatically deactivated after 5 minutes in sleep mode (standby).
- Can be deactivated immediately by pressing and holding the "ON/OFF" button in sleep mode (standby).
- Can be reactivated by pressing any button.
7. Switching the beep sounds on/off
When the display is active (large temperature display is visible), the number of beeps can be reduced to the legally required minimum by simultaneously pressing the "MODE" and "ON/OFF" buttons (beeps for starting and final switch off are always active). Reactivating is performed by repeatedly and simultaneously pressing the "MODE" and "ON/OFF" buttons.
8. Descaling and cleaning
It is advisable to descale the kettle at regular intervals depending upon the intensity of use. Before cleaning, pull out the power plug and wait until the appliance cools down completely. Please use only commercially available descaling agents based on citric acid to descale the water container. For the appropriate dosage, please refer to the specifications on the package or insert of the descaling agent. The heating plate should not be specifically cleaned. Do not use any hard objects on the heating plate. Use only a damp cloth for cleaning the kettle externally. Do not use any abrasive items like wire brush or steel sponge for cleaning.
