Important safety instructions for this device
- This device may only be used in accordance with its intended purpose and for private use. It is not for commercial application.
- Do not immerse the kettle in water!
- This device is only designed for indoor use. Keep it away from heat sources (e.g. electric stove), high temperatures and direct sunlight.
- Do not tough the kettle with wet hands.
- Do prevent the unit from dropping over, make sure that the support surface is stable.
- Pull out the main plug from the socket when the machine is not in use or during cleaning.
- Do not operate the device with other than specified power supplies.
- Appliance can be used by persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved.

• After brewing the heating element stays hot for a while. Make sure that nobody touches the inside of the kettle to avoid burns!

- Allow sufficient space between this unit and other devices and walls to ensure proper ventilation. Do not cover the device.
- Do not cook any other liquids than water.
- During operation the housing becomes hot. Therefore only touch the unit by its intended handle.
- If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer or its service agent or a similarly qualified person in order to avoid a hazard.
- Do not overfill the kettle in order to avoid water leakage.
- The appliance is only to be used with the stand provided.

4. Initial start-up
When the device is put into operation for the first time, check the intactness of the product or components and their function again. Please remove the water kettle and base station from the packing and connect the basis only to a properly installed grounded socket.
Wipe the exterior surface and the inner surface of the kettle with a slightly damp cloth. Before regular use, fill the water reservoir with cold water to its maximum level and boil the water by pressing the "ON/OFF" button on the upper side of the handle. Then throw it away.
This device is designed for household use and similar applications only, such as for example:
- in employee cafeterias, in stores, offices and other working environments;
- by customers in hotels, motels and other residential facilities;
- in Bed and Breakfast establishments;
- in farm houses.
5. Usage
Open the cover of the water kettle. Then fill the kettle with cold water and close the cover.
Note: For the maximum filling level, a filling mark (0,5l) is located on the inner side. Please make sure not to fill in more than the maximum level as marked on the scale. If the kettle is over-filled, boiling water can be ejected. Put the kettle on the base plate. On the top of the handle, there is a control panel for the selection of different water temperatures. Press it repeatedly in order to select your desired temperature. Then press the "ON/OFF" button to start the heating process. The current temperature is shown on the control panel and also on the status LED in colour (also see under point 2 „technical data“ > colours of the status LEDs). The actuation of the keys is confirmed by a short audible signal. As soon as the target temperature is reached, a beep will sound and the temperature levels (LED) and also the status LED will turn off. The heating element switches off automatically. The procedure has been completed. Now the case can be lifted and the water can be used. If you wish to abort the cooking process, just press the "ON/OFF" button at any time.
5.1 Warm-keeping function
The “KEEP WARM” function allows you to maintain a specific temperature (50°C/70°C/80°C and 90°C). It is suitable to keep warm boiled water over a longer period of time. To do this, press and hold the „Temperature control“ button, until the temperature LED flashes and the status LED lights up in the corresponding colour. The kettle activates the keep warm function for one hour. Make sure you have set your desired temperature before.
6 .Decaling and cleaning
We recommend decalcifying the kettle in regular intervals, depending on the intensity of use. Before cleaning, it is essential to remove the power plug from the socket and wait until the device is completely cooled down. Only use conventional decaling agents based on citric acid. Please follow the manufacturer's instructions for dosing the respective product you have chosen. The base plate must not be cleaned and should not be processed with sharp or hard objects. For cleaning the outer surface of the kettle, only use a damp cloth. Never use hard or abrasive objects like a wire brush or a steel-sponge for cleaning. Please do not use any aggressive cleaning agents which could be harmful or unhealthy. It also could damage the surface. To avoid the risk of getting an electric shock, never immerse the device, the power cable or the plug into water or other liquids.

Never try to open the device to carry out repairs or conversions. Avoid contact with mains voltages. Do not short-circuit the product. The device is not certified for use in the open air; only use it in dry conditions. Protect it from high humidity, water and snow. Keep it away from high temperatures. Do not subject the device to sudden changes in temperature or heavy vibration as this might damage electronic components. Examine the device for damage before using it. The unit should not be used if it has received an impact or has been damaged in any other way. Please observe national regulations and restrictions. Do not use the device for purposes other than those described in the instructions. This product is not a toy. Keep it out of the reach of children or mentally impaired persons. Any repair or alteration to the device not carried out by the original supplier, will invalidate the warranty or guarantee. The product may only be used by persons who have read and understood these instructions. The device specifications may change without any separate prior notice to this effect.
