EXPLANATION OF SYMBOLS

This symbol denotes a possible hazard which could cause injury or damage to the appliance.

FOR YOUR SAFETY

Please read the following instructions and keep them on hand for later reference.

1. This appliance can be used by children 8 years and older, as well as by persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental abilities or with lack of experience and/or knowledge, if they are supervised or if they have been instructed with regard to safe use of the appliance and have understood the dangers that can result from use of the appliance.

2. Children must not play with the appliance.

3. Children are not allowed to perform cleaning and user maintenance, unless they are 8 years of age or older and are supervised.

4. Keep the appliance out of the reach of children under 8 years of age.

5. Ensure that children have no access to the batteries contained in the appliance – danger of asphyxiation!
6. Do not recharge normal batteries.
7. Ensure that the batteries do not heat up or come into contact with open flame – explosion danger.
8. If the appliance will not be used for a longer period of time, remove the batteries to avoid battery leakage. Battery leakage can cause skin irritation, consequently in this case wear protective gloves when removing the batteries.
9. The appliance is intended for household use only; it is not designed for commercial requirements.
10. Do not use the appliance outdoors.
11. The appliance is only suitable for human hair. Do not use the appliance on artificial hair or on animals.

12. Ensure that the appliance does not come close your eyes.

13. Do not use the appliance if you are suffering from illness involving the nose or ears.

14. For hygienic reasons, the appliance should only be used by one person.
15. Do not operate the appliance in the vicinity of heat sources.
16. Switch off the appliance before you set it down.
17. After use or prior to cleaning, always switch off the appliance.
18. To avoid damage, do not use the appliance with accessories of other manufacturers or brands.
19. Check the appliance regularly for wear or damage. If there is damage, please send the appliance for inspection and/or repair to our customer service organization. Unauthorised repairs can result in serious risks to the user and will void the warranty.

Attention: The shaving head consists of sharp, pointed parts. To avoid injury, handle them with care!

The manufacturer will not be liable in the event of incorrect assembly, improper or incorrect use or if repairs are carried out by unauthorized third parties.

BEFORE USING THE APPLIANCE FOR THE FIRST TIME

1. First remove all packaging materials and transport safeguards. Due to danger of suffocation, keep children away from the packaging materials.

INSERTING OR EXCHANGING BATTERY

1. Switch off the appliance via the ON/OFF switch.
2. Slide open the battery compartment lid on the bottom of the appliance.
3. If necessary batteries if necessary y.
4. Insert two 1.5 V Mignon batteries in battery compartment. Ensure the correct polarity of the battery, otherwise the appliance will not work. Appropriate markings are on the contacts in the battery compartment.
5. Slide the battery compartment lid back onto the appliance.
6. Do not dispose of used batteries as household waste. Dispose of this product via your appliance dealer or take it to the municipal collection point.

OPERATION

1. Pull the over r of the appliance.
2. Switch on the appliance via the ON/OFF switch.
3. Carefully and slowly guide the attachment into the nose or onto the ear.
4. Please note Guide the appliance a maximum of 5 mm into the nose or into the ear; never any further to avoid injuries. Do not use force to push the appliance into nose or ear.
5. Slowly rotate the appliance, thus all undesired hair will be removed.
6. Switch off the appliance via the ON/OFF switch when you have finished using it. We recommend that you first move the appliance out of your nose or ear and then switch it off.

CLEANING AND CARE

Attention: The shaving head consists of sharp, pointed parts. To avoid injury, handle them with care! Switch off the appliance via the ON/OFF switch.

1. Never immerse the appliance in water or other liquids in order to clean it. Ensure that water cannot get into the housing of the appliance.
2. Never clean the appliance and the accessories in the dishwasher.
3. Do not use sponges that can scratch, scouring agents, steel wool, metal objects, disinfectants or hot cleaning agents, as they can damage the appliance.
4. Wipe off the appliance with a damp cl dh.
5. You can take off the shaving head and clean it as needed. Turn the shaving head counterclockwise and pull it off of the appliance. Clean the shaving head with a soft brush and fit the shaving head back onto the appliance. Ensure that all parts are firmly connected, otherwise the appliance does not function.
6. Close the appliance with the lid when it is not in use.
7. Dispose of the deadbatteries in accordance with Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment Directive 2202/96/EC – WEEE. Your local responsible municipal authority will provide a list of appropriate disposal points.

GUARANTEE CONDITIONS

We guarantee our appliances for 24 months, or in case of commercial use for 12 months, from the date of purchase in case of defects that occur during normal use and are demonstrably due to a factory fault. Within the warranty period we will remedy defective materials or workmanship through repair or replacement, at our option. Our warranty terms apply only to appliances sold in Germany and Austria. For other countries, please contact the responsible importer. In the event of a claim for remedy of defects, please send the appliance to our after sales service, properly packaged and postage paid, together with a copy of the automatically generated sales receipt, which must show the date of purchase, and a description of the defect. If the defect is covered by the warranty, the customer will be reimbursed for the shipping costs. The warranty does not cover damage from normal wear, improper handling and failure to comply with the maintenance and care instructions. The warranty is void if repairs or modifications are made to the appliance by third parties. Any claims of the end consumer vis-à-vis the retailer are not limited by this warranty.

WASTE DISPOSAL / ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION

Our appliances are produced on a high quality level for a long lifetime. Regular maintenance and expert repairs by our after-sales service can extend the useful life of the appliance. If an appliance is defective and repair is not possible we ask you to follow the following instructions for disposal. Do not dispose this appliance together with your standard household waste. Please bring this product to an approved collection point for recycling of electric and electronic products. By separate collection and disposal of waste products you help to protect natural resources and ensure, that the product is disposed in an adequate way to protect health and environment. This appliance contains rechargeable batteries. Consequently do not dispose of the appliance as household waste at the end of its service life. Contact your responsible disposal company for information regarding proper disposal of rechargeable batteries or appliances powered by rechargeable batteries. The appliance includes a rechargeable battery installed in the handle.

Batteries that contain harmful substances are marked as follows: Pb = battery contains lead, Cd = battery contains Cadmium, Hg = battery contains mercury.
