How to replace the toner cartridge?

Open the front cover. Remove the used cartridge by pulling it towards you. Unpack the new cartridge, remove the protective tapes, then insert it into the printer until it clicks. Close the cover. The printer will initialize the cartridge automatically.

How to clean the scanner glass?

Lift the scanner cover. Use a soft, lint-free cloth slightly dampened with clean water. Gently wipe the scanner glass to avoid streaks. Close the cover and wait for the surface to dry before use.

What to do if the printer does not turn on?

Check that the power cord is properly connected to the printer and the wall outlet. Ensure the outlet is powered. If the problem persists, try another outlet. If the printer still does not turn on, contact Canon support.

How to set up the printer on a Wi-Fi network?

The i-SENSYS MF4430 model does not have built-in Wi-Fi connectivity. You must use a USB cable to connect the printer directly to a computer. For a network connection, consider the MF4580dn/MF4570dn models.

How to make a duplex copy?

Place the original on the glass. Press the Copy button, then use the arrows to select Duplex in the options. Choose the desired mode (e.g., 1->2 sides). Confirm and start the copy.

How to clear a paper jam?

Open the front cover and remove the toner cartridge to access the paper path. Carefully remove any jammed paper by pulling it in the output direction. Also check the input tray and rear cover. Close all covers and reinsert the cartridge.

How to adjust print quality?

From the printer driver on your computer, go to Printing Preferences. Under the Quality tab, you can select the resolution (normal, high, etc.) and adjust settings like contrast. Confirm before printing.

How to scan to a computer?

Ensure the Canon MF Toolbox software is installed. Place your document on the glass or in the automatic document feeder. On the computer, start the software, select Scan, then choose the destination (PDF, image, etc.). You can also start scanning from the printer by pressing Scan and selecting the shared folder.

How to change the menu language?

Press the Menu key on the screen. Use the arrows to navigate to General Settings (or Language). Select the desired language from the list. Confirm by pressing OK. The screen will display in the new language.

Where to find the electronic manual?

The electronic manual is available on the CD-ROM provided with the printer. You can also download it from the Canon website, under Support. Search for your model (i-SENSYS MF4430) and download the PDF file of the user manual.

How to use a username

When you send a document, the sender information that you registered is printed on the recipient's paper.

Connect the LAN cable.

About the LAN cable

Use a Category 5 or higher twisted pair cable for the LAN.

The machine sets the IP address automatically. Wait approximately two minutes.

About obtaining the IP address automatically (Auto IP)

DHCP or Auto IP is enabled in the default setting. Even if you do not set the IP address manually, this machine can obtain it automatically. • The IP address can be automatically assigned with or without a DHCP server.

If a fixed IP address is set as the IP address of the computer, set the fixed IP address also for this machine manually.
