General Safety Instructions

Read carefully the whole Operation Manual before first use of the device. If there are any doubts about the connection and operation of the device, contact the manufacturer (service department).

Caution: The operation is permitted only with protection switch against insufficient current (maximum insufficient current 30 mA according to VDE regulation part 702). Please consult your electrician-specialist.

The pump shall never be used as a circulating pump in swimming pools.

Attention: Principally make sure the cooling of the engine is optimal. Minimum distance from the fan grid should always be at least 40 cm. Never cover the pump and/or never install it into a tight shift. Ensure good removal of operation heat.

The pump is not suitable for swimming pools. Electric installation may be performed only by a specialist. The pump shall be supplied through installation of a device protecting it against insufficient current.

Do not allow the pump to be operated without water and without water supply. Otherwise the pump service life will be endangered and the engine may be damaged..

Never envelop the pump head engine with a blanket or a scarf to prevent freezing of water in cold weather.

Do not use pump at outside temperatures over 40 °C or under 0 °C and with water temperature over 35 °C.

The pump shall never be used for other liquids than water.

Do not use sand containing water, the sand may destroy sealing.

Read carefully Operation Manual before installation and putting into operation. The persons not acquainted with the pump operation should carefully read the relevant Operating Manual for operation and maintenance before putting the pump into operation, in order to prevent damaging the pump from the very beginning.

The user is responsible for third persons on the workplace. The pump may be put into operation exclusively with a cable or rubber electric extension cord type H07RNF, according to standard DIN 57282 or DIN 57245.

The pump shall not be lifted, transported or fixed by pulling the electric connecting cable.

Should cable or a plug be damaged due to external impacts, the cable shall not be repaired! The cable shall be replaced by a new cable.

This work may be performed only by an electrician-specialist. Make sure that the connecting lines to electric sockets are protected against flooding and moisture.

It is necessary to check before use if the connecting cable and electric plug are in order. The pump shall be placed on flat, stable and horizontal plane.

Pull the plug out of the socket before any work.

The user is responsible for observation of local regulations related to safety and built-in system.

Before every use check the device visually. Do not use the device if the safety equipments are damaged or worn out. Never put the safety equipment out of operation.

The device shall be used exclusively for the purpose given in this Operation Manual.

You are responsible for safety in the working region.

If the pump is faulty, the repair shall be performed exclusively in the repair shops authorized to do so. Only original spare parts may be used

It is necessary to take relevant measures for preventing the placing of the device within the reach of children.

Before putting into operation it is necessary to find out by a professional test if all required electric protection measures are available.

During operation of home water station nobody may stay in the medium being repumped.

Prevent the home water station to be exposed to direct water current.

The owner is responsible for observation of safety provisions and of provisions for built-in system.

The pump is not suitable for long-term operation (e.g. as a circulation pump in ponds or brooks). The service life gets shorter accordingly if the pump is used in this manner. In such a case, use a switching clock and ensure sufficiently long breaks between the operating cycles.

The pump must not be connected to the existing water system as equipment increasing the pressure.

The pump is not suitable as a long-term, automatic against overflow of tanks and wells or for control of round water in cellars.

Do not leave the pump unattended to prevent damage result of any faulty function. Always disconnect the pump network if not used.

The producer does not guarantee for any damage caused by unqualified installation or unprofessional operation of the pump.

The equipment must be regularly inspected and its faultless condition needs to be checked.

Before each putting into operation, the pump must be visually inspected for any damage (especially on the power supply cable and plug). Using a damaged pump is strictly prohibited.

For Austria

The electric connecting line in Austria shall comply with the ÖVE-EM 42, T2 (2000)/1979 § 22 pursuant to 2022.1.

According to this regulation the pumps may be operated for use in swimming pools and garden lakes only via separating transformer.

For Switzerland

In Switzerland the devices used outside are different in various locations, and shall be connected via insufficient current protection switch.

General Instructions:

- Before every use perform visual inspection to make sure that the pump, particularly the network cable and the plug are not damaged.

A damaged pump shall not be used.

- In case of a failure the pump shall be checked by the GÜDE Service or by an authorized electrician-specialist.

Do not expose the pump to rain and do not operate it in wet or moist environment. The pump must not work without water, therefore make sure that the end of the suction hose is permanently in the medium to be repumped.

- Before every putting into operation the pump shall be filled with the liquid to be repumped up to the overflow!

When pump is used for supplying the water in a house, the local regulations of authorities for water and waste water management shall be observed.

The provisions of DIN 1988 shall also be observed.

What to do in Emergency?

Introduce reasonable first aid measures as necessary according to the injury, and ask for qualified medical help as soon as possible.

Secure the injured against any other damage and secure resting conditions for him.

Use in accordance with the Conditions

The home water station is designated exclusively for pumping clean water for the purpose or water supply in the house, in the garden, in the courtyard and in agriculture. The professionally versed person does not need any special qualification for using the device.

Minimum Age

The device may only be operated by persons at the age of 16 and more.

The exception is using the device by an adolescent in the course of his training for the profession, where the device is used for the purpose of getting the skill under supervision of the instructor.

Training

The operator who is going to operate the device will only need to get corresponding training by a professionally versed, and/or a training according to the Operation Manual. No special training is necessary.

Transport and Storing

When storing in winter, make sure that no water is in device, otherwise the device may be destroyed due to a bag.

Assembly and First Putting into Operation

Filter and Screen for Impurities

If the water contains sand, the pump shall be operated with the filter for impurities (available as accessory) located on the suction supply main of the pump. Should the sand penetrate into the friction circle sealing (connecting shift – pump) the sealing would be destroyed. If this occurs in the course of guarantee term, it will be qualified as a fault caused by the user and this case will be excluded from any provision of guarantee.

Caution: The pump shall never be operated at water.

When using the pump (water equipment) the user is responsible to third persons

The user may operate the pump only on connecting lines furnished with the insufficient current switch (FI switch)!

Before putting into operation the authorized electrician should check if there are required electric safety measures available.

The electric connection shall be performed by means of a socket.

Voltage examination. Technical data on the label shall comply with the electric network voltage.

If the pump is used for ponds, wells etc. and in corresponding water equipments, the standards applicable in the countries where the pump is used shall be unconditionally observed.

Electric pumps used outside (e.g. at the ponds etc.) shall be furnished with rubber electric cable type H07RNF, according to standard DIN 57282 or. DIN 57245.

When the pump is in operation, no people or animals are allowed to stay or dive in the liquid being repumped (e.g. in swimming pools, in cellars etc.).

The repumped liquid temperature shall not exceed +35 °C. Should extension cables be used, they shall be made exclusively of rubber, type H07RNF, according to standard DIN 57282 or DIN 57245. The pump connected to the electric network shall never be touched by a cable, never lifted by holding the cable or transport by means of a cable.

The connecting socket shall always be in necessary distance from water and moisture and the plug shall be protected against moisture.

Before putting the pump into operation check if the electric cable and/or the socket are not damaged.

Before performance of any works on the pump the plug shall be pulled out of the socket..

If the pump is built-in in a gully, the gully shall be covered with cover to ensure the safety of people walking there.

The pump shall never be installed in moist shifts (danger of shortcut, damage caused by corrosion)!

For avoiding or prevention of possible damage (as e.g. flooding the rooms etc.) due to faulty pump operation (e.g. due failure or defects) the owner (user) shall take reasonable safety measures (installation of alarm equipment, a spare pump etc.)

In case of failure on the pump, the repair shall be performed exclusively by an authorized service repairshop. Only original spare parts may be used.

We have to draw your attention to the fact that according to the valid standards we cannot take responsibility for below mentioned cases of possible damage caused by our devices:

Unproper repairs performed by unauthorized service repair shops;

Using pump for a different purpose or failing to observe its use according to the provisions;

Overloading of the pump by long-term operation;

Protection against Thermal Overloading

A sensor is built into the engine that automatically switches off the pump if a certain temperature has been exceeded, and/or it switches the pump on after it has been cooled. This increases the service life of the pump quadruptly, and prevents burning of the electric engine.

Protection against Overloading /Thermoswitch of the Engine

The pump is furnished with an engine thermoswitch. If the motor is overheated, the thermoswitch switches the pump automatically off. The cooling period makes approx. 25 minutes, then after the pump will be automatically switched on again. If the engine switch is on, it is necessary to find and remove the cause (see also "Troubleshooting"). The data here given cannot be considered as instructions for "home made" repairs, because the repair works require specific professional knowledge and skill.

Therefore you have to contact customer service if any failure occurs.

It is unconditionally necessary to secure good air supply in order to prevent overheating of the pump! Do not install the pump in too tight shifts, do not cover it with anything!

Operation

Air pressure

Pull out the network plug.

Open the consumption valve, e.g. water main tap, so that the water may be pressed out of the system..

Turn the protection lid on the bleeding valve in the down direction (F).

Check the air pressure in the vessel with compressor and device for tyre pumping.

The specified air pressure is 1,5 ± 0,3 bar.

Bleeding

Release the bleeding screw and let the possible closed air escape. (Fig. A; pos. 2)

Water Bubbles

Release the screw for draining water bubbles so that the pump may be drained (Fig. A; pos.11)

Vessel pressure

Switch off pressure set by the manufacturer is 3-4 bar after completion of filling.

Setting pressure of the vessel (air) makes 1,5 ± 0,3 bar and it should be regularly checked and modified (G).

Use the device only after you have carefully read Operating Manual.

Observe all safety instructions mentioned in the Manual.

Instruction Step-by-Step

  • Connect the suction pipeline that complies with the outlet connecting pipe to the check valve (D) (foot valve). Tighten all threading connections by sealing band (B)
  • After filling up remove the bleeding screw on the back side of the pump and on the connecting line of pressure pipeline. (Fig. A; pos. 1 and 2) Fill the device up until the water exits from the bleeding hole (E)
  • Make tight the bleeding screw and retight it again. Then make tight the pressure pipeline and connect it.
  • Connect the pump to the electric network.

Caution: When installing suction and pressure on corresponding connection lines, the bonding thread shall always be tightened by so that no damage occurs due to cracking of pump shell (A) !

Caution: Careful sealing of thread connections and airless filling (E) of suction system – (suction and pump shell), will save you from trying to a suction that may often be unsuccessful!

Check the tightness of the foot valve (D) – Fill the system according to the instruction (C) and pull the suction hose out of the medium being repumped before putting into operation for the purpose of checking (D) - the liquid should not escape from the suction hose now!

Important: Should the pump be out of operation for a longer period of time, the pipeline and the pump shell must be unconditionally emptied.

Inspection and Maintenance

With the exception of the below described cases, the pump shall be repaired in customer's service.

Check the air pressure in the filling valve vessel (under the black lid) regularly (every 3 months) by means of a separate device for pumping the tyres with manometer, as described below.

Pull out the network plug.

Open the appliance, watermain tap etc.

Modify the air pressure with separate device for pumping the tyres to 1,5 ± 0,3 bar.

Before any maintenance works the connection with electric network shall be interrupted (by pulling the plug out of the socket) and checked if the pump is not being put into operation.

Only device on which the maintenance is performed regularly and that is properly cared for can be good helper. Defaults in maintenance and care for device can cause unpredictable accidents and injuries.
