USING THE APPLIANCE -31 -

THIS PRODUCT IS FOR HOUSEHOLD USE ONLY! PLEASE READ CAREF ULLY THIS MANUEL BEFORE YOUR FIRST USE AND SAVE IT FOR FUTURE REFERENCE. When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed including the following:

1. Read all instructions carefully before you use

2. Always disconnect the appliance from the

supply if it is left unattended and before assembling, disassembling or cleaning.

3. This appliance shall not be used by children.

Keep the appliance and its cord out of reach of children.

4. Appliances can be used by persons with

reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and if they understand the hazards involved.

5. Children shall not play with the appliance.

6. If the supply cord is damaged, it must be26

replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard.

7. Care shall be taken when handling the sharp

cutting blades, emptying the bowl and during cleaning.

8. Switch off the appliance and disconnect from

supply before changing accessories or approaching parts that move in use.

9. This appliance is intended to be used in

household and similar applications such as: - staff kitchen areas in shops, offices and other working environments; - farm houses; - by clients in hotels, motels and other residential type environments; - bed and breakfast type environments.

10. Be careful if hot liquid is poured into the

blender as it can be ejected out of the appliance due to a sudden steaming.

11. WARNING: Potential injury from misuse.

12. Check that the voltage of the power supply

in your home is same as the voltage shown on the rating label of this product.

13. Do not operate the appliance with a

damaged cord or plug or after the appliance malfunctions, or it’s dropped or damaged in any manner. Return the appliance to the27 nearest authorized service facility for examination, repair or electrical or mechanical adjustment.

14. Never put the power handle in water or other

liquid or let the cord or plug get wet, you could get an electric shock.

15. Do not operate the blender with wet hands.

Make hands dry with cloth before plugging in.

16. Make sure the blender shaft, egg-fork,

chopper, potato blender shaft in place, the power cord is not damaged before using the appliance every time.

17. Never let the blades face toward anybody

while operating the appliance.

18. Take special care when preparing food for

babies, the elderly and infirm.

19. Always ensure that the hand blender shaft,

egg fork, chopper or potato blender shaft is thoroughly sterilized.

22. Never let anybody trip over the power cord

and attached cable. Don’t let the cord touch hot surfaces or hang down where a child could grab it.

23. Unplug from outlet when it is not in use,

before putting on or taking off parts, before28 moving the appliance or adding the food, and before cleaning.

24. Do not use outdoors.

25. Blades are sharp. Handle carefully.

26. Never touch the blades or egg-fork

while the machine is plugged in.

27. Never add ingredients to the beaker or

chopper bowl while the hand blender is operating.

28. The capacity of the ingredient does not

exceed the maximum graduation of the beaker or chopper bowl.

29. Do not continuously operate the

blender too long. The motor may overheat. If the surface of the hand blender has been very hot, it may need time to cool down. After reducing to the room temperature, the appliance can be operated again.

30. The continuous operating time without

the load must be less than 10 seconds when using blender, furthermore, do not use the blender to mix too hard ingredients.

31. Do not exceed the quantities and maximum

time indicated in the ‘’OPERATION GUIDELINE’’ or ‘’FOOD PROCESSING GUIDE’’.

BEFORE USING FOR THE FIRST TIME

  • Remove all packaging and take away the blade covers.
  • Clean the blender according to the section of “quick cleaning”.

TO USE THE HAND BLENDER

  • Clean the blender shaft and beaker.
  • Fit the power handle inside the blender shaft, turn and lock until you hear a slight click. The marks on the power handle and blender shaft should now be aligned with each other. If this is the case, the blender shaft is locked correctly.
  • Check if the power cord is not damaged.
  • Make sure your electricity supply is the same as the one shown on the power handle.
  • Fill the food to the beaker (not more than the maximum indicated level).
  • Plug in, adjust the desired setting, hold the power handle steady. Switch the appliance on by pressing the switch button or Turbo button.
  • Immerse the blade completely in the ingredients.32
  • Blend the ingredients by moving the appliance slowly up and down and in circles.
  • After you have completed blending, release the switch button, then unplug from outlet.
  • Warning: Max operation duration per time cannot exceed 1 minute, and 3 minute rest time must be maintained at two consecutive cycles.
  • If your blender gets blocked, first stop and unplug before clearing.
  • After use, unplug and dismantle.
  • Always switch off and unplug before cleaning. Please refer to the instruction in the “CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE”.

TO USE THE POTATO BLENDER SHAFT

  • Clean the potato blender shaft and a container used for holding the food.
  • Fit the power handle inside the potato blender shaft, turn and lock until you hear a slight click. The marks on the power handle and potato blender shaft should now be aligned with each other. If this is the case, the potato blender shaft is locked correctly.
  • Check if the power cord is not damaged.
  • Make sure your electricity supply is the same as the one shown on the power handle.
  • Fill the food (cooked-potato pieces, cooked-33 pumpkin pieces etc.,) into the container.
  • Plug in, adjust the desired setting, hold the power handle steady. Switch the appliance on by pressing the switch button or Turbo button.
  • Immerse the blade completely in the ingredients.
  • Blend the ingredients by moving the appliance slowly up and down and in circles.
  • After you have completed blending, Release the switch button, then unplug from outlet.
  • Warning: Max operation duration per time cannot exceed 1 minute, and 10 minutes rest time must be maintained at two consecutive cycles.
  • If your blender gets blocked, first stop and unplug before clearing.

  • Clean the lid, blade unit and bowl of the chopper.
  • Fix the blade unit in the chopper bowl.34

  • Fit the power handle inside the chopper, turn and lock until you hear a slight click. The marks on the power handle and the chopper should now be aligned with each other. If this is the case, the chopper is locked correctly.
  • Check if the power cord is not damaged.
  • Make sure your electricity supply is the same as the one shown on the power handle.
  • Plug in, adjust the desired setting, hold the power handle steady. Switch the appliance on by pressing the switch button or Turbo button.
  • After you have completed blending, Release the switch button, then unplug from outlet.
  • Warning: Max operation duration per time cannot exceed 1 minute, and 10 minute rest time must be maintained at two consecutive cycles.
  • Warning: To reduce the risk of injury, never place cutting blade on base without first putting bowl properly in place
  • If your chopper gets blocked, first stop and unplug before clearing.
  • After use, unplug and dismantle the power handle and the lid unit in sequence, take the blade out of the bowl by holding the35 plastic shaft, then pour out the food.
  • The edge of the blade is very sharp, do not touch them.
  • Always switch off and unplug before cleaning. Please refer to the instruction in the “CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE”.
  • Clean the egg-fork and beaker.
  • Insert the egg-fork into the egg-fork head until you hear a slight click.
  • Fit the power handle inside the egg-fork, turn and lock until you hear a slight click. The marks on the power handle and the egg- fork head should now be aligned with each other. If this is the case, the egg-fork is locked correctly.
  • Check if the power cord is not damaged.
  • Make sure your electricity supply is the same as the one shown on the power handle.
  • Fill the food to the beaker (not more than the maximum indicated level).
  • Plug in, adjust the desired setting, hold the power handle steady. Switch the appliance on by pressing the switch button.
  • To prevent splashing, use the Low speed to mix when starting.
  • Immerse the egg-fork completely in the ingredients.36
  • Blend the ingredients by moving the appliance slowly up and down and in circles.
  • After you have completed mixing, Release the switch button, then unplug from outlet.
  • Warning: Max operation duration per time cannot exceed 2 minute, and 10 minute rest time must be maintained at two consecutive cycles.
  • Never blend hot oil, fat or meat.
  • If your egg-fork gets blocked, first stop and unplug before clearing.
  • After use, unplug and dismantle.
  • Always switch off and unplug before cleaning. Please refer to the instruction in the

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

Always switch off and unplug before cleaning. Take the attachments off. Don't touch the sharp blades. Caution: Take care when cleaning the blades as they are extremely sharp. QUICK CLEANING Hold the hand blender in a cup half filled with water and turn on the appliance to make it run for a few seconds.

Any other servicing should be performed by an authorized service representative. Do let the appliance rest at least 2 minutes between cycles!
