USE
- Close the lid. Plug the appliance in.
- The red and the green indicator light come on and the appliance begins to heat up. When the green indicator light goes off, the appliance has reached the correct temperature and is ready for use.
- During cooking, the green indicator light will come on and go off several times. This merely means that the thermostat is coming on and going off from time to time.
NB! The indicator lights do not indicate if the waffles are ready or not.
- Open the lid. Grease the non-stick plates with a little cooking oil, margarine or butter before use.
- Pour a portion of batter in the hotplate recesses, and if necessary, spread the batter with a rubber spatula or the like.
- Close the lid and press down gently so that the batter is evenly distributed.
- When the waffles are finished, open the lid and remove the waffles with a wooden or plastic spatula.
- Grease the hot plates again and pour fresh batter into the appliance.
- Before cleaning, remove the plug from the wall socket and allow the appliance to cool down.
HELPFUL HINTS
- Place the waffles on a grille next to one another so that they don't go soft. If you put them on top of one another, they lose their crispness.
- If you use milk instead of water, the waffles will be softer and darker.
- In order to achieve uniform browning, all ingredients should be the same temperature.
