INTRODUCTION To get the best out of your new appliance, please read this user guide carefully beforeusingitforthersttime.Take particular note of the safety precautions. We also recommend that you keep the instructions for future reference, so that you can remind yourself of the functions of your appliance. SAFETY MEASURES General
- Incorrect use of this appliance may cause personal injury and damage.
- Use for its intended purpose only. The manufacturer is not responsible for any injury or damage resulting from incorrect use or handling (see also Guarantee Terms).
- For domestic use only. Not for outdoor or commercial use.
- For connection to 230 V, 50 Hz only.
- Do not immerse the appliance, cord or plug in water and make sure no water enters the appliance.
- Never touch the appliance, cord or wall socket with wet or damp hands.28
- This symbol means that the appliance cannot be used in the bath tub or near water, wash basins, bowls or the like. Should the appliance fall into water, always unplug the appliance before picking it up.
- We recommend you only use this appliance if the installation is protected by an HFI-/HPFI relay. Please contact aqualied electrician if in doubt.
- Do not expose the appliance to direct sunlight, high temperatures, humidity, dust or corrosive substances.
- Never leave the appliance unattended when it is switched on.
- This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision29
or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision.
- The appliance shall not be operated by means of an external timer, or a separate remote control system.
- Only use accessories manufactured or recommended by the manufacturer. Use

- Never insert anything into the openings of the appliance.31
- Keep the cord and appliance away from hot objects andnakedames.
- Check that it is not possible to pull or trip over the cord or any extension cord.
- Switchothe appliance and remove the plug from the socket when cleaning or when not in use. Avoid pulling the cord when removing the plug from the socket. Instead, hold the plug.
- Ensure that the cord is fully extended.
- The cord must not be twisted or wound around the appliance.
- Check regularly that neither the cord nor plug is damaged and do not use if there is any damage, or if it has been dropped on the oor,droppedin water or damaged in any other way.32
- If the appliance, cord or plug have been damaged, have the appliance inspected and if necessary repaired by an authorised repairer. Never try to repair the appliance yourself. Please contact the store where you bought the appliance for repairs under the guarantee. Unauthorised repairs or modicationsto the appliance will invalidate the guarantee.
- Remove all packaging and transport materials from the inside and outside of the appliance.
- Check that the appliance has no visible damage and that no parts are missing.
- Clean the appliance before using it (see the section “Cleaning” below).

concentrator that concentrates theairow.Somemodelshavea detachable air concentrator.
3. Some models have a cold air
switch. When the cold air function has been activated, the appliance disperses cool air. This is useful when your hair is dry and needs to be set. Not all models have a cold air switch.
4. Some models are supplied with
adiuser.Thediuserisusedto concentratetheairowinalarge number of points distributed over a large area. It is ideal if you want a hairstyle with extra volume. Mountthediuserinsteadofthe detachable air concentrator.
5. Alwaysturnotheapplianceusing
theon/obutton,andunplugit, whenyouarenishedwithit. Caution! You may experience a small amountofsmokeorodourtherstfew times the appliance is used. This is due to excess material from the manufacturing processbeingburnto.Thisiscompletely normal, and the smoke/smell will soon disappear.33
CLEANING When cleaning the appliance, you should pay attention to the following:
- Remove the plug from the mains socket, and allow the appliance to cool down completely before cleaning it.
- Never immerse the appliance in water and make sure no water enters the appliance.
- Clean the appliance by wiping it with a damp cloth. A little detergent can be added if the appliance is heavily soiled.
- Do not use scouring pads, steel wool or any form of strong solvents or abrasive cleaning agents to clean the appliance, as they can damage the external surfaces of the appliance.
- Occasionally remove any dust or hairfromtherearlterandthe air intake using a brush. Detach therearlterifitisdetachable. Makesureyouattachtherearlter correctlywhenyouhavenished cleaning it. o Caution! Do not use without the rearltertted.
- IMPORTANT! Allow to dry completely after cleaning. Do not use the appliance if it is damp.
ONLY Plug wiring: ThisproductisttedwithaBS136313- amp plug. If you have to replace the fuse, only those that are ASTA or BSI approved to BS1362 and with a rated current of 13 amps should be used. Ifthereisafusecovertted,thiscover mustberettedafterchangingthefuse. If the fuse cover is lost or damaged, the plug must not be used. You must also check if the socket outlets in your home twiththeplugoftheappliance.Ifthe socketoutletinyourhomedoesnott with the plug, the plug must be removed and disposed of safely as insertion of the plug into the socket is likely to cause electric hazard. As this product is a class II appliance, the pin of BS plug for earth connection is false.34
