How to connect the JBL Authentics 500 speaker via Bluetooth?

To connect your speaker via Bluetooth, make sure the speaker is on. Enable Bluetooth on your device (smartphone, tablet) and look for available devices. Select "JBL Authentics 500" from the list. Follow the on-screen instructions if needed. You can also use the JBL One app for simplified setup.

How to reset the speaker to factory settings?

To reset the JBL Authentics 500 speaker, press and hold the Power button for about 10 seconds until the indicator light flashes. Release the button. The speaker will restart and factory settings will be restored. You will then need to set it up again via the app.

What audio formats are supported via the USB port?

The USB (Type C) port of the Authentics 500 supports MP3 and WAV files. MP3 sample rates range from 16 to 48 kHz with bit rates from 80 to 320 kbps. Note that USB playback is available on the American version; on other versions, the USB port is for maintenance only.

How to set up multiroom mode (MultiRoom Music)?

Multiroom mode allows you to stream music to multiple compatible JBL speakers. To set it up, open the JBL One app and create a speaker group. Follow the instructions to add your Authentics 500 speakers to the same Wi-Fi network. You can then play the same music on all speakers or different tracks per room.

How to adjust treble and bass?

Use the Treble/Bass button on the speaker. Press it to access custom settings in the JBL One app. From the app, you can adjust the equalizer (EQ) to modify treble, mids, and bass according to your preferences.

What to do if the speaker does not turn on?

Check that the power cable is properly connected to the speaker and to a working electrical outlet. Make sure the outlet has power. If the speaker still does not turn on, try unplugging it for 30 seconds, then plugging it back in. If the problem persists, contact JBL technical support.
