How to insert the SIM card into the Motorola Edge 40 Neo?

Use the provided tool to eject the SIM tray. Insert the SIM card with gold contacts facing up, then gently push the tray back into the slot. To turn on, press and hold the Power button.

Can I use an eSIM card?

Yes, the Motorola Edge 40 Neo supports eSIM in addition to the physical SIM card. Contact your carrier for activation.

Is the Motorola Edge 40 Neo water-resistant?

Yes, it is IP68 certified. It resists immersion up to 1.5 meters of fresh water for 30 minutes. Do not expose to pressurized water or other liquids.

How to turn off the phone if it becomes unresponsive?

Press and hold the Power button until the screen turns off and the phone restarts. For a normal shutdown, press and hold the Power and Volume Up buttons simultaneously.

What type of charger should I use?

Use a compatible Motorola charger (sold separately). Other chargers may impair performance and be dangerous.

Can I use a headset with a 3.5 mm jack?

Yes, but you will need a USB-C to 3.5 mm adapter (sold separately). The headset must be connected via USB-C.

Why does an audio warning appear when I increase the volume?

To prevent hearing damage, a warning appears when the volume reaches the maximum level. Tap OK or wait 5 seconds, then press the volume up button to override and continue adjusting.

Swipe up on the home screen, go to Settings > Legal information. You can also dial *#07# on the keypad.

What to do if the touch screen becomes less responsive?

Do not use a screen protector thicker than 0.5 mm, as it reduces touch sensitivity.

Before using your phone, please read the legal, safety and regulatory information provided with your product.

Caution: screen protectors may reduce your phone's touchscreen sensitivity. Do not use screen protectors thicker than 0.5mm.

Connect with 5G: 5G service plan and 5G network coverage required; available only in selected areas; device not compatible with all 5G networks. Contact your service provider for details.

Use a headset: to use a headset, you'll need one with a USB-C connector. If you're using a 3.5mm headset, you'll need an adapter to connect a 3.5mm connector to USB-C. Headset and adapter may be sold separately.

Put in the card and power on

1 Insert the SIM tool into the tray hole to pop out the tray. Make sure you use the correct size SIM card and don't cut the SIM card.

2 Insert the SIM card with the gold contacts up, then gently push the tray into the slot.

3 Press and hold the power button to turn on your phone, then follow the prompts to get started.

Note: to turn off your phone, press the power and Volume up buttons at the same time.

eSIM option: your phone may have an eSIM (embedded SIM card) in addition to the physical SIM card. Contact your service provider for details if you want to activate and use it.

Water, splash and dust resistance. Water, splash and dust resistance were tested to IP68 standards under controlled laboratory conditions. Withstands immersion in up to 1.5 metres of fresh water for up to 30 minutes. Resistance will decrease as a result of normal wear. Not designed to work while submerged underwater. Do not expose to pressurised water, or liquids other than fresh water. Do not attempt to charge a wet phone. Not waterproof. Charging and battery safety. To prevent possible burning and injury, the battery in your phone should only be removed by a Motorola-approved service centre or similar skilled personnel.

If your phone becomes unresponsive, press and hold the power button until the screen goes dark and your phone restarts. Charge your phone using a compatible Motorola charger (may be sold separately). Use of other chargers is not recommended and may impair the charging performance. Don't charge your phone in temperatures below -20^ or above 45^ . Chargers that do not comply with applicable national standards may be unsafe, with risk of death or injury, and may cause slow charging or product damage. Warning about high volume usage. To prevent possible hearing damage, do not listen at high volume levels for long periods. When your headset volume reaches the high volume threshold, a warning will be shown. Tap OK to dismiss it, or wait one to five seconds, then press the Volume up button to dismiss the alert and enable the volume to continue to be adjusted.
