How to turn on the scale?

Place the scale on a flat surface, then press lightly on the scale for about 2 seconds. All screen segments display briefly, then the device is ready to measure.

How to change the measurement unit?

Press the MODE button to switch between available units: g, kg, lb:oz, ml, fl:oz. The scale remembers the last selected unit.

How to use the tare function?

Place an empty container on the scale, then press the TARE/OFF button to reset the display to zero. Then add the ingredients; only their weight will be displayed.

What to do if the display shows 'Ld'?

The indication 'Ld' means the scale is overloaded. Immediately remove the weight to avoid damaging the device. The maximum capacity is 5 kg.

How to clean the scale?

Use a slightly damp cloth (not wet) with a little dish soap. Never immerse the scale in water and do not use abrasive products. Dry it well after cleaning.

What type of batteries to use?

Use 2 alkaline batteries type AAA / R03 (1.5 V). Do not use rechargeable batteries. Observe the polarity indicated in the compartment.

How to replace the batteries?

Open the battery compartment located under the scale. Remove the used batteries and insert two new AAA/R03 batteries observing polarity. Close the compartment.

What is the maximum capacity of the scale?

The scale can weigh up to 5 kg (11.0 lb). The minimum weight is 3 g (0.1 oz). Never exceed the maximum load.

Why does the scale turn off by itself?

The scale is equipped with an automatic shut-off that activates after approximately 60 seconds of inactivity to save batteries. You can also turn it off manually by holding down the TARE/OFF button.

How to store the scale?

Store the scale in a clean and dry place, away from heat, direct sunlight, and humidity. Remove the batteries if not using for an extended period.

Handling Batteries

Do not expose batteries to intense heat, such as sunshine, fire or similar.

• Batteries can leak battery acid. If the appliance will not be used for a longer period of time, remove the batteries.
• If a battery leaks, do not rub the liquid into the eyes or mucous membranes. In case of contact, wash hands, rinse eyes with clean water. Seek medical attention if any discomfort persists.
• Different battery types and new and used batteries must not be used together.
• Batteries are not to be disposed of together with domestic wastes. Return used batteries to the responsible collection points or to the dealer.

Unpacking the Appliance

1. Remove the appliance from its packaging.
2. Remove all packaging material, such as foils, filling material, cable ties and cardboard packaging.
3. Check the appliance for possible transport damage to avoid hazards. Do not operate a damaged appliance. Return it to the dealer immediately.

Inserting the Batteries

(Batteries not included)

1. Open the battery compartment on the underside.
2. Insert 2 batteries of type AAA / R03. Please ensure that the polarity is correct (see the floor of the battery compartment)!

3. Do not use rechargeable batteries / accumulators.

4. Close the battery compartment again.

If ▶ appears in the display, then the batteries must be replaced at once.

Using the Appliance

Switching On

1. Place the kitchen scale on a flat, smooth surface.
2. Press lightly on the scale for 2 seconds. All segments are briefly shown in the display.

Select Unit of Measurement

This kitchen scale measures in both mass units (kg / g / lb:oz) and volume units (ml / fl:oz).

Milk and water have different weights if they have the same number of millilitres. Therefore, you can display milk and water separately on this scale.

To select the appropriate unit of measurement, also refer to the table "Indications in the Display".

• Select the desired unit of measurement with the MODE button.
• The appliance starts in the last unit of measurement selected.

Weighing

1. Maintain until the kitchen scale is at "0".
2. Place the product or a container on the centre of the scale.
3. If you are using a container to measure your ingredients, touch the TARE/OFF button now.
4. Add the ingredients to the container.
5. If the displayed value remains unchanged, the measurement is complete. Now read off the measured value.

Tare Weight Function

You want to add another ingredient to your first ingredient and weigh it out?

1. Touch the TARE/OFF button.
2. The kitchen scale is reset to "0".
3. If you now add more ingredients, their weight will be displayed.

Switching Off

• The automatic switch-off function switches the scale off automatically after approx. 60 seconds.
• If you want to switch off the scale first, touch the TARE/OFF button until the display goes out.

Cleaning

CAUTION:

• Do not immerse the appliance in water! This could destroy the electronics.
• Do not use a wire brush or other abrasive objects.
• Do not use any sharp or abrasive cleaning agents.
• Clean the appliance with a slightly damp, not wet, cloth. Make sure that no moisture or liquid enters the appliance!
• You can use a commercially available washing-up liquid or a simple soap as an additive.
  • After cleaning, dry the appliance well with a dry, soft cloth.
• If the scale is not dried properly or completely, moisture will penetrate the fibres. This can cause mould growth and / or material deformation.

Storage

Store the appliance in a clean, dry place.
