How to charge the BT3420?

Plug the special power cable supplied into the device socket and into a mains socket. The charge indicator lights up. Make sure the device is switched off during charging. The ambient temperature should be between 5 and 35 °C.

Can I use the device while charging?

No, it is recommended to switch off the device during charging. Use during charging is not intended.

How to adjust the cutting length?

Use the length adjustment knob (item 2) to adjust the cutting height. With the precision beard comb, you can adjust from 0.5 to 10 mm; with the hair comb, from 10.5 to 20 mm.

What to do if the device does not turn on?

Check that the battery is charged. If the device still does not turn on, make sure the ambient temperature is within the recommended range (5-35 °C for charging, 15-35 °C for use). If the problem persists, contact a Braun authorized service center.

How to clean the blades?

After use, remove the head and brush off hair residues. For regular maintenance, apply a drop of light oil (not supplied) to the trimmer and foils. Do not immerse the device in water.

Can I use the hair comb on the beard?

Yes, the hair comb (10.5-20 mm) can be used on the beard if you want a longer length. However, the beard comb (0.5-10 mm) is more suitable for precise trimming.

What to do if the battery does not hold a charge?

Make sure to charge within the recommended temperature range (5-35 °C). If the battery still does not hold, it may be at the end of its life. The device contains non-user-replaceable batteries; contact a Braun authorized service center.

Is the device waterproof?

No, the device must be kept dry. Do not use it underwater and do not clean it with running water. Use a brush for cleaning.

How to know if charging is complete?

The charge indicator (item 6) lights up during charging and turns off or changes color when charging is complete. Refer to the manual for more details.
