Frequently Asked Questions - 915i Testo

How to turn on the Testo 915i?
Remove the insulating film from the battery compartment, then briefly press the button on the handle. The LED flashes yellow while searching for Bluetooth connection, then green once connected.
How to connect the 915i to my smartphone?
Install the Testo SMART app from the App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android). Turn on the 915i by pressing the button, then open the app. The Bluetooth connection establishes automatically.
Which batteries to use and how to change them?
Use 3 micro AAA batteries. Open the battery compartment on the back of the handle, insert the batteries respecting polarity, then close. A battery life of approximately 150 hours is stated.
What does a flashing red LED mean?
The flashing red LED indicates that the battery level is low. Replace the batteries as soon as possible to avoid measurement interruption.
What is the measuring range of the Testo 915i?
The handle alone measures from -60 to +1000 °C. With plug-in TC probes, the range varies by model: for example, the probe 0602 1093 measures from -50 to +400 °C. Refer to the technical data table for each probe.
How to clean the Testo 915i?
Clean the housing with a damp cloth and soapy water or a mild detergent. Never use solvents or caustic products. Ensure to keep the probe connectors clean.
Can I use the 915i with probes other than Testo?
The 915i is designed for Testo plug-in probes with the appropriate connector. Use only the probes referenced in the manual (e.g., 0602 1093) to ensure accuracy and safety.
How to export measurements from the app?
In the Testo SMART app, press the Memory button, select the desired measurement, then choose Export. You can send the data by email or Bluetooth in CSV or PDF format.
What to do if the screen displays ---- instead of the temperature?
This means that the measurement is outside the permissible range (too high or too low) or that the sensor is defective. Check the probe and the measured temperature. If the problem persists, contact Testo after-sales service.
Are there any safety precautions to follow?
Yes, due to the magnetic field, maintain a distance of at least 10 cm between the device and a pacemaker. Do not perform contact measurements on non-insulated conductors. Observe the operating conditions (-20 to +50 °C).
