How to load paper in the MF tray?
Open the MF (bypass) tray located on the front of the machine. Adjust the width guides to the desired paper size. Load the paper with the print side facing up and do not exceed the capacity mark. Close the tray. On the screen, verify that the paper size and media type are correct in the settings.
How to replace the toner cartridge?
Open the left front cover of the machine. Remove the old toner cartridge by pulling the locking lever. Insert the new original Olivetti toner cartridge until you hear a click. Close the cover. The machine automatically initializes the cartridge.
How to connect the printer via Wi-Fi?
Make sure the optional wireless network interface kit (IB-36 or IB-51) is installed. On the control panel, go to [Menu] > [Network] > [Wi-Fi Direct Settings] or [Wi-Fi Settings] as needed. Enable Wi-Fi and configure the SSID and security key via the Wi-Fi configuration tool or the control panel. Restart the network.
How to print from a USB flash drive?
Plug the USB flash drive into the port on the front of the machine (USB drive slot). On the screen, select [USB Drive] > [Print File]. Choose the file to print (PDF, TIFF, JPEG, XPS). Adjust print settings if needed (duplex, copies, etc.), then start printing. Do not remove the flash drive until printing is complete.
How to enable automatic duplex printing?
On the control panel, press [Menu] > [Print Settings] > [Duplex]. Select [On] for standard duplex or [Book] / [Calendar] depending on orientation. Confirm with [OK]. You can also enable this option in the printer driver on your computer.
How to clear a paper jam?
The status screen indicates the jam location (tray, MF tray, rear cover). Open the corresponding cover and gently remove the jammed paper by pulling in the normal feed direction. Check that no paper pieces remain. Close all covers and press [OK] to resume printing.
How to use EcoPrint mode to save toner?
Go to [Menu] > [Print Settings] > [Print Quality] > [EcoPrint] > [On]. You can adjust the economy level (EcoPrint Level). The print will be lighter but uses less toner. To disable, set to [Off].
How to configure sleep mode to save energy?
Press [Menu] > [Common Settings] > [Timer Settings] > [Sleep Timer]. Set the inactivity time before sleep (from 1 to 240 minutes). For the sleep level, choose [Energy Saving] to minimize consumption. The machine wakes when you press [OK].
How to connect the printer via Wi-Fi Direct?
Enable Wi-Fi Direct in [Menu] > [Network] > [Wi-Fi Direct Settings] > [Wi-Fi Direct] > [On]. Restart the network. On your device, search for the Wi-Fi Direct network (SSID displayed in [Status] > [Wi-Fi Direct] > [Detailed Info]). Connect using the displayed password. You can also use the WPS push button if supported.
How to check the remaining toner level?
On the control panel, press [Status] (Status key). Select [Paper/Consumables] or [Consumables]. The toner level is displayed as a graph bar. You can also print a status page from [Menu] > [Report] > [Status Page] for a detailed report.

SAFETY OF LASER BEAM (USA)

1. Safety of laser beam

This machine has been certified by the manufacturer to Class 1 level under the radiation performance standards established by the U.S.DHHS (Department of Health and Human Services) in 1968. This indicates that the product is safe to use during normal operation and maintenance. The laser optical system, enclosed in a protective housing and sealed within the external covers, never permits the laser beam to escape.

2. The CDRH Act

A laser-product-related act was implemented on Aug. 2, 1976, by the Center for Devices and Radiological Health (CDRH) of the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA). This act prohibits the sale of laser products in the U.S. without certification, and applies to laser products manufactured after Aug. 1, 1976. The label shown below indicates compliance with the CDRH regulations and must be attached to laser products marketed in the United States. On this machine, the label is on the rear.

3. Maintenance

For safety of the service personnel, follow the maintenance instructions in the other section of this manual.

4. Safety switch

The power to the laser unit is cut off when the front cover is opened.

Caution: The power plug is the main isolation device! Other switches on the equipment are only functional switches and are not suitable for isolating the equipment from the power source.

This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a Class B digital device, pursuant to Part 15 of the FCC Rules.

These limits are designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful interference in a residential installation.
