Frequently Asked Questions - PG L2535 OLIVETTI

How to replace the toner cartridge?

Open the front cover, press the release button on the used cartridge, remove it, insert the new cartridge until it clicks, then close the cover. Refer to the user manual chapter 8 for details.

What to do in case of paper jam?

Locate the jam position indicated by the lights. Open the corresponding cover (front, rear, bypass) and gently remove the jammed paper. Follow the instructions in the user manual section 8-23.

How to configure Wi-Fi on the printer?

Access the system menu via [Menu], then select [Wi-Fi Settings]. Enable Wi-Fi and choose your network. You can also use the Wi-Fi configuration tool on the provided DVD.

How to print automatic duplex?

In the print driver, select the Duplex option in the Finishing tab. Ensure the paper size is compatible with duplex printing.

What does EcoPrint mode mean?

The EcoPrint mode saves toner by printing at reduced density. Ideal for drafts. Enable it in the print settings or via the system menu.

How to clean the inside of the printer?

Turn off the printer and unplug it. Open the front cover and remove the toner cartridge. Use a soft, dry cloth to remove dust and toner residue. Do not touch the rollers. Close and reconnect.

How to activate silent mode?

Press the [Silent mode] key on the control panel. The light flashes and print speed is reduced to lower noise. Press again to deactivate.

Can I use non-original toner cartridges?

It is strongly recommended to use original Olivetti toner cartridges to avoid malfunctions and ensure print quality. Using third-party cartridges may damage the machine.

How to print from a USB drive?

Insert the USB drive into the slot on the front of the printer. On the screen, select [USB Memory] and choose the file to print. You can set the number of copies. See chapter 5 of the manual.

What to do if the printer displays 'Toner low'?

Prepare a replacement cartridge. When toner is exhausted, follow the replacement procedure. You can continue printing a few pages in degraded mode, but it is advisable to replace the cartridge quickly.

1. Safety of laser beam

This machine has been certified by the manufacturer to Class 1 level under the radiation performance standards established by the U.S.DHHS (Department of Health and Human Services) in 1968. This indicates that the product is safe to use during normal operation and maintenance. The laser optical system, enclosed in a protective housing and sealed within the external covers, never permits the laser beam to escape.

2. The CDRH Act

A laser-product-related act was implemented on Aug. 2, 1976, by the Center for Devices and Radiological Health (CDRH) of the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA). This act prohibits the sale of laser products in the U.S. without certification, and applies to laser products manufactured after Aug. 1, 1976. The label shown below indicates compliance with the CDRH regulations and must be attached to laser products marketed in the United States. The position of the rating label is show below.

3. Maintenance

For safety of the service personnel, follow the maintenance instructions in the other section of this manual.

4. Safety switch

The power to the laser unit is cut off when the front cover is opened.

Caution: The power plug is the main isolation device! Other switches on the equipment are only functional switches and are not suitable for isolating the equipment from the power source.

This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a Class B digital device, pursuant to Part 15 of the FCC Rules.

These limits are designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful interference in a residential installation.
