BEFORE THE FIRST USE
- Remove all packing material, any stickers, and the plastic band around the power plug.
- Wash the removable parts as instructed in CARE AND CLEANING.
- Pour fresh cold water up to the MAX mark (1500 mL) into the coffee maker.
- Place the drip carafe on the Keep Warm plate and the detachable filter with its cup in place by opening the top of the coffee machine and placing it in until it fits neatly in place.
- Plug cord into standard electrical outlet. The display will show “12:00”.
- Press ON/OFF button once. The button will illuminate in red and start the brewing process automatically.
- Brew water through appliance without adding coffee grounds. This removes any dust or residue that may remain in the system during the manufacturing process.7
- Once no more water drips out, discard water and clean the carafe thoroughly with warm, soapy water.
- Turn off appliance, unplug and allow to cool down. Your coffee maker is ready for brewing! OPERATION
- Open the tank cover. Fill water reservoir with cold tap or filtered water. Use lines on side of reservoir as a guide. Do not fill past “MAX” line. Important: If too much water is added it will leak from the back of the coffee maker as protection against over-fill. If this happens, pour out some of the water until you are no longer past the MAX line.
- Add ground coffee to nylon filter with a measuring spoon. We suggest about one tablespoon per cup of water, but you can adjust depending on preference. Be careful not to overfill. Place nylon mesh filter into the funnel and secure in place.
- Set carafe on warm plate, paying attention that the center line of the carafe aligns with that of the funnel. The brewing will not work unless the coffee pot is properly aligned to prevent spilling or dripping. Automatic Brew Programmable function 1st press: Time adjust
- Plug cord into an outlet. Press ON/OFF once to turn on automatic brewing. The button will light up in red and start the brewing process. NOTE: You can remove the coffee pot from its place at any time to serve, but do not exceed 30 seconds to prevent any dripping or overflow from the edge of the funnel.
- The coffee maker will turn on Keep Warm function automatically once the brewing process is finished. Once you are finished, you can turn off the power by pressing the power button and unplugging the appliance. The coffee maker will turn off automatically 2 hours after the brewing process is finished.
- When coffee grounds are cool, carefully remove and discard used grounds.
- Unplug appliance when not in use. Note: The brewing cycle can be paused at any time by removing the coffee pot. To resume, simply reinsert the coffee pot. Programmable function This coffee maker comes with a programmable feature, letting your coffee be ready for you when you need it.

Use this mode to set clock to current time. Use the HOUR button to change the hour, and MINUTE button to change the minute. Note that pressing the HOUR button 12 times will switch it from AM to PM.
- Once your clock is set, press PROG button again to go into TIMER mode, which will allow you to program the machine to turn on at a set time. Select time you wish to program.

Upon the second press, the PROG button will turn on in blue, but the small screen will remain unlit. This indicates that you have set the machine to start at its programmed time. DESCALING WITH VINEGAR
To keep your coffee maker operating efficiently, you can remove mineral deposits left by water every three months, according to the water quality in your area and the frequency with which you use the appliance. With regular use, minerals and hard water can clog your coffee maker. A full cleaning with vinegar is recommended once a month.
- Fill carafe with one part white vinegar and three parts cold water. Pour the water and vinegar mixture into the coffee maker’s water tank.
- With no coffee in the coffee maker, press the ON/OFF button once so that it lights in red. Allow the mixture to go through the coffee maker in brewing mode (as per the “Before First Use” instructions).
- Pour out mixture and repeat until no yellow liquid comes out, as necessary.10
- Brew clean tap or filtered water to get rid of any vinegar residue or odor.
