• The device is intended for indoor use.

• This device is not suitable for barns, stables, etc. where the air may be quite moist and corrosive. This may adversely affect the materials.

• Only connect the device to a socket with a 220/240V-50Hz power supply.

• This device is not to be used in locations where flammable vapour or explosive dust is likely to exist.

• The insect-killer can create a spark, which may ignite the gas or liquid!

• Do not use the device in ‘wet’ areas, such as swimming pools, laundries, bathrooms, above drains, etc. Never immerse the appliance in water or any other liquid!

• Never touch the apparatus with wet hands.

• Do not place the apparatus in the vicinity of open windows (because of rain) and wet surfaces, and prevent liquids from spilling on it.

• Do not try and modify the device in any way as this is dangerous and will void the manufacturer’s liability.

• Never insert a finger, pen, piece of paper or any other objects through the protective grill or into the top of the apparatus. You will run the risk of an electric shock and fire.

• This device can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the device in a safe way and understand the hazards involved.

• Children are not allowed to play with the device.

• Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision.

• Place the device out of reach from children.

• Take the entire apparatus out of the wall socket before you clean it.

• Do not touch the lamp before it has cooled down.

• Take the entire apparatus out of the wall socket, if you hear strange noises, smell something or see smoke.

• If there is any damage to the device itself or plug take the plug from the socket. Contact the store where you purchased your insect-killer or ask a qualified electrician to have the part replaced or repaired. Never carry our repairs yourself!

• If components other than the lamp are malfunctioning or damaged, a qualified person should replace these components. Never repair the apparatus yourself. Operating principle The insect-killer Fly Away plug-in is designed to attract flying insects, such as flies, moths, mosquitoes, etc. using ultraviolet light. The Fly Away plug-in Glue insect-killer is highly efficient and safe. The special LED lamps are totally harmless to humans and pets. The device uses no chemicals or sprays, does not emit smoke or odours, produces no waste and is environmentally friendly.13

Use and Maintenance Using Make sure that the power socket you intend using has the correct voltage 220/240V~50Hz. The lamps will start burning and the device will start operating. Cleaning Clean the device once a week. Remove the device from the power supply, keep the device in a vertical position to prevent the spread of dead insects. Pull out the collection tray at the back of the device and remove the dead insects. After cleaning and drying thoroughly, replace the collection tray correctly. Clean the outside with a dry or well-wrung damp cloth. Do not use abrasive or corrosive cleaning agents. Any faults Check whether the plug is properly inserted into the wall socket and whether the power supply is okay. For all other causes, please contact a qualified professional.

WARNING The lamps in this device cannot be replaced. Let the device destroy when the lamps fail according to the local laws and regulations. Disposal At its end of life, discard the device according to the local laws and regulations, or deliver the device to your supplier.
