How far should I install the hood above my cooktop?

For a gas cooktop, the distance must be at least 750 mm. For an electric hob, it must be at least 650 mm. The recommended distance is 65 to 75 cm.

How to clean the grease filters?

The aluminum grease filters can be cleaned with hot water (40-50°C) using a mild detergent, or in the dishwasher at 60°C. Avoid abrasive detergents. Let them dry before reinstalling.

When should I replace the charcoal filter?

The charcoal filter must be replaced after approximately 120 hours of use. It cannot be cleaned or recycled.

How to change the LED bulb?

Turn off and unplug the hood. Remove the grease filter, then unscrew the bulb from the inside. Replace with an identical LED bulb (1.5 W max, DC 12 V, 64 mm, type ILCOS D DSR-1.5/65-S-64).
Press gently and turn to secure it.

The hood does not turn on, what to do?

Check that the hood is properly plugged in and the speed button is pressed. If the problem persists, check the circuit breaker or contact a professional.

The hood is noisy or not extracting well?

Make sure the grease filter is clean. Check that the speeds are correctly selected. For recirculation use, the charcoal filter must be in good condition. Also check that the exhaust duct is not blocked.

How to use the timer function?

When the hood is running, press the Timer button to activate an automatic shut-off after 9 minutes. The LED display shows the remaining time. Press again to cancel.

What to do if the hood stops on its own during operation?

This may be due to the thermal cut-off safety device. Turn off the hood and wait a few minutes for it to cool down before restarting. If the problem recurs, contact customer service.

Can I use the hood with a barbecue or rotisserie?

No, the hood is designed for domestic use only and must not be used with a barbecue, rotisserie, or for commercial use.

How can I recycle my hood at the end of its life?

Do not dispose of the appliance with household waste. In accordance with directive 2012/19/EU, take it to a selective collection point for waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE).

1. SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

1. Before installation and usage, make sure that the voltage (V) and the frequency (Hz) indicated on your cooker hood are exactly the same as the voltage (V) and the frequency (Hz) in your home.
2. Keep your children from using the cooker hood.

3. This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved.
   Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision.

4. Your cooker hood is for domestic use only, not suitable for barbecue, roast shop and other commercial use.

5. Any installation work must be carried out by a qualified electrician or competent person.
6. Do not flambé under the range hood.
7. CAUTION: Accessible parts may become hot when used with cooking appliances.
8. If there is any fault with your cooker hood, please call the service department appointed by agent for servicing.
9. This appliance has been incorporated with a grounded plug. Please ensure the wall outlet in your house is well earthed.
10. Keep the appliance and its cord out of reach of child less than 8 years.
11. If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard.

12. There shall be adequate ventilation of the room when the range hood is used at the same time as appliances burning gas or other fuels.

13. Please keep the room draughty when your cooker hood and gas hob are working.

14. The air must not be discharged into a flue that is used for exhausting fumes from appliances burning gas or other fuels.

15. The cooker hood and its filter mesh should be cleaned regularly in order to keep in good working order.

16. Before cleaning, always ensure that you have switched your cooker hood off.

17. Clean the cooker hood according to the instruction manual and keep the cooker hood from the danger of burning.

18. In order to get the most out of your cooker hood, please read the instruction manual before installing & using, and keep it in a safe place.

19. The appliance is not intended to be operated by means of an external timer or a separate remote-control system.

20. It is recommended to check regularly the supply cord for any sign of possible deterioration, and the appliance should not be used if the cable is damaged.

21. Regarding the information for installation, for cleaning and for changing the light, thanks to refer to the below paragraph of the manual.

22. For safety reason, please use only the same size of fixing or mounting screw which are recommended in this instruction manual.

25. When installing the appliance, make sure that the following distances between the top of cooker or hob and the lowest part of the cooker hood must be observed:

Gas hobs: 750mm.

Electric hobs: 650mm.

2. FUNCTION AND FEATURE

* The cooker hood is made of high quality materials with streamlined design accordingly to technical and physical engineering theory, high end and luxury with age aesthetic feeling, also there are kinds of styles for your option to perfect your kitchen.
* Equipped with a large power low noise electric motor and centrifugal leaf, it produces strong suction, low noise, non stick grease filter and easy to clean.
* With the isolated low voltage circuit board control, DC 12V input, the lights are more concentrative and use is much safer.
* The grease filter is easy to remove and clean, and only wipe lightly for the motor and other interior parts.
* Special wind tunnel construction and oil collector design, avoiding redundant grease left in the flue.

3. INSTALLATION

3. INSTALLATION

1. If you have an outlet to the outside, your cooker hood can be connected as below picture by means of an extraction duct (enamel, aluminum, flexible pipe or inflammable material with an interior diameter of 150mm).

2. Before installation, turn the unit off and unplug it from the outlet.

3. The cooker hood should be placed at a distance of 65-75cm(26-30 inch) from the cooking surface for the best effect. See pic .1.

4. According to the suggested install height of cooker hood, drill 8 holes for installing the cooker hood. A is for fixing the Plate II and the inner chimney. B is for fixing the Plate I and the inner and outer chimneys on the wall.C is for hanging the cooker hood on the wall.D is the safety locks which are used to fix the cooker hood more safely. Use 2 screws (4*40mm) and wall plugs provided to hang the cooker hood on the Position C. See pic .2.

5. Attach the exhaust pipe on the way wall valve as shown below. Fix the exhaust pipe on the valve by cable tie. Two side of the extensible pipe is different; one side of it is with "Φ153mm" marking, connect it to the valve. See pic .3 ,pic.4.

6. Put the inner chimney on the outer chimney. Install plate I on the outer chimney by two screws (4mm x 8mm). Drill holes on the wall for fixing plate I. See pic .5.

Note: Remember not to fix the screws (4mm x 8mm) too tight. 1mm loose is recommended so that later height adjustment can be done easily.

1. Fix the hood on the wall. Also, fix the cooker hood on the wall by two 4x 30mm screws and wall plugs through the back of the cooker hood. See pic .6.

2. Apply the chimney on the cooker hood body, fix the "plate I" on the lower two holes of the wall using 2 screws (4mm*40mm). Tighten the two sides of the chimney to the hood with 2 screws (4mm*8mm). Fix the "Plate I" onto the other two holes of the wall using 2 screws (4mm*40mm). See pic .7.

3. Pull up the inner chimney, and secure the inner chimney onto the "Plate 1" using 2 screws(4mm*8mm). See pic .8.

Note :

• Any installation work must be carried out by a qualified electrician or competent person.
• Do not connect the ducting system of the hood to any existing ventilation system which is being used for any other appliance, such as warmer tube, gas tube, and hot wind tube.
• The angle of the bend of the ventilation pipe should not be less than 120° ; you must direct the pipe horizontally, or, alternatively, the pipe should go up from the initial point and should be led to an outer wall.
• After the installation, make sure that the cooker hood is level to avoid grease collection at on end. See Pic. 9
• For safety reason, please use only the same size of fixing or mounting screw which are recommended in this instruction manual.
• Warning: Failure to install the screws or fixing device in accordance with these instructions may result in electrical hazards.

4. HOW TO USE YOUR COOKER HOOD

1. Turn the unit off and unplug it from the outlet. Then open the front panel.

2. Touch the "Power" button, the button control the "on" & "off" of the hood.

3. Keep Touching the button "Speed", the motor runs as low / mid / high / low / mid..., the speed runs circularly; and the LED display will indicate as 1-2-3-1-2... circularly.

When the hood works at high speed, it will automatically turn to medium speed after 7 minutes.

1. Touch "Light" button, the light is on, touch this button again, the light is off, keep touch this button, the lights are on/off circularly.

2. When the hood is working, if touch the "Timer" button, the hood will go into the status of acquiescent working (acquiescent time is 9mins), and then, the LED display will indicate as "9-8-7...-1", when the time is finished, the hood will be off automatically; before the time finished, and touch the 'timer' button again, the timer function will cancel.

5. CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

Changing and cleaning the anti-grease filters

• Removing the filters as the instruction in Pic. 10

• You can clean the filter as below measure:

• Soak them for about 3 minute in hot water (40-50 degrees) with a grease-loosening detergent then brush it gently with a soft brush. Please do not apply too much pressure, avoid damaging it.

• It can be put into a dishwasher with detergent, set the temperature at around 60 degrees.

• Please do not use abrasive detergent for it will damage the hood.

• Make sure that the hood is shut off before cleaning.

Installing the charcoal filter (see Pic. 11)

1. Remove the filters see Pic.10
2. The charcoal filters (Pic.11) are located at both end of the motor. Turn the charcoal filters until they are unscrewed.
3. Apply reverse procedure to uninstall the charcoal filter.

Warning: the charcoal filer cannot be washed or recycled.

It should be replaced after approximately 120 hours of use.

Change the lamp

1. Switch the unit off and pull out the plug first.
2. Wait until the light bulb is cooled down before replacement.
3. Take out the aluminium filter and screw out the bulb from the inside of the cooker hood.

4. Replace with same type of bulb (base 1.5W Max).

1. TROUBLE SHOOTING

Symptom	Solution
The cooker hood does not start.	Check that the hood is connected to the electricity supply.Check that the fan speed control is set properly.
