- The device is intended for blending, stirring, grinding, puréeing and chopping food such as fruit, vegetables, hard cheese, nuts or herbs. The device is also suitable for whipping cream.
- The device is not suitable for crushing ice cubes.

Keep children and animals away from the packaging material. ■ This device may be used by persons with impaired physical, sensory or mental abilities or who lack experience and/or knowl- edge if they are supervised or have been instructed on how to use the device safely and have understood risks arising from using the device. Children may not play with the device. ■ Children and animals must be kept away from the device and the connection line! Store the device so that it is not accessible to children or animals! ■ Risk of injury associated with sharp blades! The blades are sharp! Handle the cross-blade adapter with care in order to pre- vent cut injuries. ■ If the device is not supervised, before assembling, disassem- bling and cleaning the device, it must always be disconnected from the mains. ■ Burn hazard! Never fi ll the device with hot food or liquids! The content must not be warmer than 50 °C. ■ Ensure that your work area is well lit when you use the unit. For your health ■ There may be some production residue stuck to the device. To avoid health risks, clean it thoroughly before fi rst use (see chap- ter “Cleaning and storage”). ■ Clean the accessories thoroughly with warm water and a small amount of mild detergent immediately after each use to prevent the build-up of germs. Do not allow any residual food to dry onto it. ■ Be absolutely sure to store prepared meals in the fridge. Do not consume any spoiled food and only use ingredients whose best before date has not expired yet.EN 14 Risk of electric shock and fi re ■ Only use the device in enclosed areas. ■ Always place the device on a dry, level and solid base. ■ Keep a suffi cient distance from other heat sources, e.g. hobs or ovens. ■ Never cover the device with cloths or the like. Danger of over- heating! ■ The device should never be set up when highly fl ammable ma- terials are nearby (curtains, textiles, etc.). ■ Do not place any fl ammable materials such as paper, cardboard or plastic in or on the device. ■ Never submerge the motor unit in water or other liquids! Make sure that the motor unit, the cord or the plug can not fall in water or get wet. ■ If the motor unit falls in water, immediately disconnect the power supply. ■ Never touch the motor unit, the cord or the plug with wet hands. ■ Only connect the device to a socket, which has been proper- ly installed and complies with the device’s technical data (see chapter “Technical data”). ■ Lay the cord such that it is not crushed or creased and such that it does not come into contact with hot surfaces. ■ Pull the mains plug out of the socket if you do not use the de- vice, if a defect occurs while in use or before a storm. ■ If you want to remove the mains plug from the socket, never pull on the cable, but always on the plug. Beware of damage to the device and property ■ Check the device for damages prior to each use. The device must not be used if the motor unit, the accessories, the mains cord or plug exhibit visible damages. Do not attempt to repair the device or replace the cable and/or plug yourself. In the event of damage, promptly contact the customer service department. ■ Each time before using the device, check whether the device is clean and dry and whether it has been correctly assembled and closed.15 EN ■ Do not use any additional accessories. Only use the enclosed accessories from the manufacturer. ■ Do not let the motor run if the device is empty. ■ Make sure that the maximum fi lling capacity (MAX mark in the blending container) is not exceeded! ■ Do not leave the device unattended when in operation. ■ The device must not be transported when switched on. Always pull the mains plug out of the socket and allow the motor to come to a full stop prior to moving the device. ■ Do not allow the device to fall and do not subject it to strong percussions. ■ Do not subject the device to extreme temperatures, severe changes in temperature, direct sunlight or moisture. Danger of suffocation! Keep children and animals away from the pack- aging material.
1. Unpack all parts and make sure that the product contents are complete (see chapter
“Product contents and device overview”) and check for any damages from transport. If you identify damages to the components, do not use them (!), instead contact our customer service centre.
2. Remove any existing protective foils and stickers from the device.
3. Clean the accessories before fi rst use as there may be some production residue
stuck to them. Follow the instructions in the chapter “Cleaning and storage” to do so.
4. Familiarise yourself with the accessories. Please read the following chapter to this
end. Accessories Cross-blade adapter ATTENTION! ■ Risk of injury associated with sharp blades! Never hold the cross-blade adapter by the blades. Handle the cross-blade adapter with care in order to prevent cut inju- ries. The cross-blade adapter is suitable for grinding, mincing and puréeing foods as well as for stirring and blending beverages like milk shakes. It is also suitable for whipping and stirring cream or cremes. The blade adapter is suitable for the dishwasher. A gasket is fi tted in the plastic casing of the cross-blade adapt- er. This gasket ensures that the blending container does not leak while processing food. Each time before you use the device, make sure that the gasket is properly inserted in the groove. Blending container and freshness lid ATTENTION! ■ The maximum fi lling capacity of the blending container amounts to 500 ml. Do not overfi ll it. Keep an eye on the MAX mark on the blending container! ■ Be absolutely sure to store prepared meals in the fridge. Do not consume any spoiled food and only use ingredients whose best before date has not expired yet.17 EN The food being mixed will be processed and stored in the blending container. Screw the freshness lid onto the blending container for storage. Both the blending container and the freshness lid are suitable for cleaning in the dishwasher. A gasket is located in the freshness lid. This gasket ensures that the blending container can be sealed air-tight and does not leak. Each time before you use the device, make sure that the gasket is properly inserted in the groove. Use ATTENTION! ■ Risk of injury associated with sharp blades! Never hold the cross-blade adapter by the blades. Handle the cross-blade adapter with care in order to prevent cut inju- ries. ■ Risk of damage due to insuffi cient cooling! Never place the motor unit on a soft base. The vents on the side and bottom of the motor unit must not be covered. ■ Burn hazard! Never fi ll the blending container with boiling hot food or liquids! The content must not be warmer than 50 °C. ■ Before you use the device, make sure that all parts of the device are properly seated. ■ The maximum fi lling capacity of the blending container amounts to 500 ml. Do not overfi ll it. Keep an eye on the MAX mark on the blending container! ■ Always fi rmly hold the motor unit with one hand during preparation. ■ Always pull the mains plug out of the socket and let the blades come to a full stop prior to removing the blending container. ■ The device must not be transported when switched on. ■ Do not leave the device switched on continuously for more than 1 minute. Then allow it to cool off for 2 minutes before continuing.
1. Place the motor unit on a dry, level and solid base.
2. Place the desired ingredients in the blending container (do
not exceed the MAX mark in the blending container!).
3. Screw the cross-blade adapter up to the stop on the blending
4. Turn the blending container upside down and place the cross-
blade adapter in the motor unit. The 3 catches on the blend- ing container must be inserted in the corresponding recesses in the motor unit for this.

6. Switch the device on. To do so, gently push the blending con-
tainer down and, at the same time, turn it clockwise until it locks into place. Always hold the motor unit fi rmly with one hand during preparation!
7. To switch the device off, turn the blending container counter-
clockwise up to the stop.
8. Wait until the blades have come to a complete stop. Then
remove the blending container.
9. Turn the blending container over and screw the cross-blade adapter off.
10. Clean the accessories immediately after each use to prevent the formation of germs
(see chapter “Cleaning and storage”). Do not allow any residual food to dry onto it. Cleaning and storage ATTENTION! ■ Danger of electrocution! Prior to each cleaning, pull the mains plug out of the socket. ■ Danger of electrocution! Keep the motor unit, mains cord and plug away from water or other liquids! Never touch them with wet hands. The motor unit is not suitable for cleaning in the dishwasher. ■ Risk of injury associated with sharp blades! Be very careful when handling the cross-blade adapter. The cutting blades are extremely sharp. Never touch the blades with your bare hands. When removing, inserting or cleaning the cross-blade adapter, always hold it by the plastic housing. ■ The surfaces could be damaged! Do not use any scouring or abrasive cleaners or scouring sponges to clean the device. The cross-blade adapter, blending container and lid are suitable for cleaning in the dishwasher.
- Immediately clean the device and accessories after use to prevent the formation of germs:
1. Ensure that the device is disconnected from the mains supply!
2. Clean the accessory parts used (cross-blade adapter, blending container and lid) with
clean, warm water and a small amount of mild detergent or in the dishwasher.
3. If necessary, wipe the motor unit off with a damp cloth. Dry it off with a soft cloth.
4. Let all parts dry completely before reassembling them.
5. Store the device in a clean, dry area that is not accessible to children and animals.
NOTE: The plastic parts may discolour with time. However, this is of no concern with respect to health or the functioning of the device parts.19 EN Troubleshooting If the device is not working properly, please check whether you are able to rectify the problem yourself fi rst. Do not attempt to repair a defective device yourself! If you are unable to switch the device on, check the following:
- Is the mains plug properly connected with the socket?
- Is the socket defective? Try another socket.
- Was the fuse for your mains connection triggered?
- Has the blade adapter been correctly screwed onto the blending container?
- Is the blending container correctly fi tted in the motor unit? The device can only be activated if the blending container has been properly fi tted in the motor unit and has locked in place.
