Precautions Read the following instructions carefully, since they give you useful safety information about installation, use and maintenan- ce and help you avoid mishaps and possible accidents. Remove the packing and make sure that the appliance is intact, with special attention to the supply cable. The elements of the packing (plastic bags, polystyrene, etc) do not have to be accessible to the children, in order to preserve them from danger sources. It is recommended not to throw these packing ma- terial in the domestic waste, but to deliver them to the appropriate station of collection or destruction refusals, asking eventually infor- mation to the manager of the Sanitation Department of your own mu- nicipality. If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufac- turer, its service agent or similarly qualied persons in order to avoid a hazard. Before connecting the appliance make sure that the mains voltage corresponds to the data specied on the label. The appliance can be damaged if the voltage is not correct. If the plug does not suit the socket, let it be replaced with another suitable plug by qualied personnel only, which shall also ensure that the section of the socket cables is suitable for your appliance power absorption. Generally, the use adaptors multiple plugs and/or extensions is not recommended; should they be necessary, please use only simple or multiple adaptors and extensions in compliance with the safety rules in force, making sure that the capacity absorption limit marked on the simple adaptors and the extensions and the maximum power limit marked on the multiple adaptor are not exceeded. Do not use the appliance if the cable or the plug shows any damages. Do not use the appliance after a possible irregular working. In this case, switch it off and do not break it open. This appliance is for household use only. To protect against electric shock, do not immerse cord, plug or any parts of the appliance into water or other uids. Do not allow children, disabled people or every pe- ople without experience or technical ability to use the appliance if they are not properly watched over. Close supervision is necessary when any appliance used by or near children. Warnings Do not place the appliance and/or the cable on or near heat sources. Never immerse the motor base, the plug and the cable into water or other liquids,. Do not touch moving blades of the unit. While use the appliance place it on a at surface. Blades are very sharp, pay attention while cleaning them. To avoid injury and/or damages, keep hands and kitchen utensils away from blades and moving parts. Do not operate the product if it or any component has a damaged. Do not leave the coffee grinder unattended when plugged in. Unplug the power cord when the coffee grinder is not in use, before cleaning it and before installing or removing parts and accessories. Operation Before switching on the appliance for rst time, remove the packages and make sure that the product is in good condition and clean as described on appropriate chapter. Place the appliance on a stable, at surface. The coffee grinder has a safety system: if the lid is not correctly inserted, the coffee grinder will not work and the blades will not be activated. This safety system is very important because it excludes the operation of the blades if the lid is not present or well inserted. To put the coffee beans inside the container, remove the lid and introduce a quantity of beans not exceeding 100 grams. If you intend to grind a larger quantity of grains, it is necessary to repeat the operation several times, not to insert more beans than the capacity of the container. Higher quantities of grind grains compromise the functioning of the coffee grinder. Close the lid by inserting it correctly. Plug in. Press and hold the operating button for the time necessary to reach the neness of the desired ground. The grinding time can vary from 15 to 25 seconds average. Do not operate the coffee grinder for more than 60 seconds continuously. Wait 1 or 2 minutes after each use, before operating the blades again. Never operate the blades if there are no coffee beans inside the container. At the end of the operation, release the operation button. Before removing the lid, at the end of grinding, always wait for the blades to stop completely. Cleaning and maintenance Before cleaning, unplug the unit. Do not immerse the appliance into water or other liquids, don’t wash under tap. Wipe the body and the container of the coffee grinder with a soft damp cloth. Wash the lid under tap and wipe well. Do not use abrasive products or metal sponges as they may damage the surfaces of the coffee grinder. Before storing the coffee grinder, make sure that all parts are completely dry. Store the coffee grinder in a dry and clean place.
