Frequently Asked Questions - 21844 TORO

How to start the Toro 21844 lawn mower?
Make sure the battery is charged and installed. Insert the safety key. Press the electric start button, then squeeze the blade control bar to start the engine. To engage self-propulsion, hold the self-propulsion levers.
How to charge the battery?
Place the battery into the charger model 86902PPK until it clicks. Plug the charger into a wall outlet. The LED flashes green during charging and becomes solid green when fully charged. Full charge takes about 2.5 hours.
How to adjust cutting height?
Stop the machine and remove the battery. Press the cutting height adjustment button, raise or lower the deck to the desired position (1 = low, 6 = high). Height ranges from 25 to 75 mm.
How to use mulching mode?
The machine is ready to mulch grass from the factory. To use bagging mode, remove the mulching plug and install the grass bag. To switch back to mulching, remove the bag and reinstall the plug.
How to install and remove the grass bag?
To install the bag, lift the handle, hook the bag hooks onto the rear deflector brackets, then lower the deflector over the bag. To remove, reverse the steps: lift the deflector and unclip the bag.
How to fold the handle for storage?
Stop the engine and remove the battery. Pull up the unlocking bar to release the handle, then fold it forward. Make sure not to pinch the cables.
How to replace the blade?

What to do if the machine does not start?
Check that the battery is properly installed and charged. Ensure the safety key is in place. If that does not help, remove the battery and recharge it. If the problem persists, contact an authorized dealer.
How to clean the mower after use?
Remove the battery and key. Use a gentle water spray on the lower housing, but avoid wetting electrical components. Clean the grass bag with a brush. Allow to dry before storing.
How to store the mower for winter?
Clean the machine, charge the battery to 100%, then store it in a dry, temperate place. Fold the handle and place the machine vertically. Store the battery and charger in a closed, moisture-free area.

The Ground Truth image displays a single, solid horizontal line. According to Rule 2 (UNDERSCORE & LINE RULES), if the GT contains lines used for stylistic emphasis or as background elements (like ruled paper), the OCR result must ignore them. The provided OCR content is "____", which consists of four underscores. This is incorrect because underscores are not equivalent to a solid line and are not permitted under the “Stylistic/Background Lines (Ignore)” rule. The OCR has hallucinated underscores where none should exist in the GT, violating the “Stylistic/Background Lines (Ignore)” rule. Therefore, the OCR result is inconsistent with the Ground Truth.

TORO 21844 - de la - 3

The Ground Truth image displays a single, solid horizontal line, which is a stylistic or background element (like a rule line on paper). According to Rule 2, such lines must be ignored by the OCR result. The provided OCR content is "____", which consists of underscores. Underscores are not equivalent to a horizontal line in this context; they represent placeholder blanks, not stylistic lines. Since the OCR output incorrectly rendered a stylistic line as underscores (which should be ignored), this violates the rule. Therefore, the OCR result is inconsistent with the Ground Truth.
