Frequently Asked Questions - Quantum Air TWS JBL

How to connect the earphones via Bluetooth?

Turn on the earphones and put them in pairing mode. On your device, select JBL Quantum TWS Air in Bluetooth settings. See section 006 of the manual.

How to use the 2.4 GHz connection?

Insert the provided USB dongle into a USB port on your PC, PlayStation, or Nintendo Switch. The earphones will automatically connect in 2.4 GHz. See section 005.

What is the battery life?

Battery life in 2.4 GHz conversation is up to 4 hours. Battery life in music or Bluetooth is not specified in the manual. Charging is done via the case.

How to reset the earphones?

Refer to section 013 of the manual for factory reset. Generally, hold down the touch controls for several seconds.

What to do if one earphone does not connect?

Make sure both earphones are in the case and charged. Try taking them out and reconnecting. If the problem persists, perform a reset.

How to clean the earphones?

Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the earphones and case. Do not use chemical products or water. The silicone ear tips can be rinsed with warm water.

Are the earphones compatible with my PlayStation?

Yes, the earphones are compatible with PS4 and PS5 via the 2.4 GHz connection (USB dongle). See section 002. Bluetooth is not compatible with PlayStation.

How to activate Ambient Aware mode?

Press the touch area on the left or right earphone depending on the configuration. See section 009 for controls. Ambient Aware mode lets you hear surrounding sounds.

What to do if an earphone is lost?

JBL does not provide individual replacement service. You can contact JBL support for options. It is recommended to always store the earphones in the case.

How to update the firmware?

Download the JBL Headphones app on your smartphone. Connect the earphones and follow the instructions for software updates. See section 014.
