USER MANUAL FN121056 Emerio

Please read these Operating Instructions through carefully before connecting your appliance to the mains, in order to avoid damage due to incorrect use. Please pay particular attention to the safety information. If you pass the appliance on to a third party, these Operating Instructions must also be handed over.

WARNING - When using electrical appliance, basic safety precautions should always be followed to reduce the risk of fire, electrical shock and personal injury.

SAFETY INFORMATION

  1. Read and save these instructions. Attention: pictures in the IM are for reference only.
  2. This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved.
  3. Children shall not play with the appliance.
  4. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision.
  5. This appliance is intended to be used in household and similar applications.
  6. If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard.
  7. Incorrect operation and improper handling can lead to faults on the appliance and injuries to the user.
  8. In the event of improper use or incorrect handling, no liability can be accepted for any damage that may occur.

  9. Do not immerse the unit or mains plug in water or other liquids. There is danger to life due to electric shock! However, if this occurs, remove the mains plug immediately and then have the unit checked by an expert before using it again.

  19. Never put fingers or any other objects through the grilles (fan guards) when the fan is running.
  20. Never operate the appliance without the grilles (fan guards) in place, as serious personal injury may result.
  21. The appliance must be assembled completely before use.
  22. Watch out for long hair! It can be caught in the fan owing to the air turbulence.
  23. Do not point the air flow to the people for a long time.
  24. Ensure that the fan is switched off from the supply mains before removing the guard.

ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS

** Please assemble correctly by the following order when using.

  1. Assembly of the stand

  2. Rotate the fastener and the L screw out from the bottom of the standing shaft.

  3. Put the standing shaft into the standing base. Fix back with the fastener and the L screw.

  1. The whole assembly

  2. Loosen the fastening screw on the standing shaft. Insert the upper column into the standing shaft. Tighten back the fastening screw.

  3. Loosen the fastening screw on the upper column. Insert the motor unit into the upper column. Tighten back the fastening screw.

  1. Rear grille assembly

  2. Loosen the blade fastening screw and remove the motor shaft sleeve (A) from the motor shaft.

  3. Remove the black blade fixed buckle (B) from the rear guard. Separate the rear guard and the fan blade.

  • Align the chute in the center of the rear guard with the sliding slot in the center of the motor unit. Attach and then lift the rear guard upwards until a "click" sound is heard. To remove the rear guard, push the clip (C) upwards and meanwhile press down the whole rear guard.

  1. The assembly of fan blade

  2. Insert fan blade onto shaft ensuring the groove (D) on the back of the fan blade fits over the spacer pin (E) on the motor shaft.

  3. Tighten blade screw onto shaft. Note: Blade screw should be tightened in anti-clockwise direction.

  2. Align the front guard with rear guard; push them together.

NOTE: This appliance can also be used with the standing shaft only (without the upper column) or with the shorter column only as the table fan. Choose your desired column to adjust the height of the appliance.

OPERATION

  1. Plug the power cord into a suitable socket.
  2. Rotate the switch knob to choose your desired fan speed setting, i.e. 0: Off, 1 = Low Speed, 2 = Medium speed, 3 = High speed.
  3. Oscillation: to make the fan head oscillate, push down the oscillation knob. To stop the fan head from oscillating, pull-up the oscillation knob.
  4. Tilting Angles: By pushing the fan-guard, you can adjust the fan to the preferred elevation.

CLEANING

  • Before servicing the fan and after every use, switch off the appliance and unplug the mains cable from the socket.
  • Never immerse the appliance in water (danger of short-circuit). To clean the appliance, only wipe it with a damp cloth and then dry it carefully. Always take out the mains plug first.
  • Take care that excessive dust does not build up in the air-intake and air-outlet grille, and clean it occasionally using a dry brush or vacuum cleaner.
