How to clean my enameled cast iron casserole?
Allow to cool, then hand wash with warm soapy water and a soft sponge. Avoid the dishwasher and abrasive cleaners.

USER MANUAL MC26BR Moa

Before use, please read this manual carefully.

IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS

  1. Read all safety information carefully and thoroughly before using this product!
  2. Do not allow children near the stove while you cook.
  3. To avoid injury always use caution when handling hot pots.
  4. For safety reasons, never leave cookware unattended while in use and make sure the handles do not extend over the edge of the stove.
  5. Do not allow handles to extend over a hot burner, because the handles could get hot.
  6. Use caution when removing lids or lifting with the handles. Touch lightly to be sure the handles have not become hot. Use oven mitts or potholders if necessary.
  7. Always use oven gloves when removing cookware from a hot oven.
  8. Make sure the knobs are tightly fitted on the lid.

VERY IMPORTANT NOTE:

Never slide a cast iron pan on induction or halogen plate.

A cast iron pan is very heavy, which means that dirt (such as grains of sand) under the pan can relatively quickly lead to damage and scratches on the glass plate. Even though a cast iron pan weighs more than an average pan, always make sure to lift it! This way your glass induction hob will remain in perfect condition for longer.

USING INSTRUCTIONS

  1. The cast iron casseroles can be used on any kind of heat source: gas, electric, vitro-ceramic, halogen and induction. They're also suited for use in the oven.

  2. Do not use the cast iron on an outdoor grill or open fire. Do not use in a microwave oven.

  3. When using in the oven and on the stovetop, the handles and knobs can get hot. Use a suitable cloth, potholders or oven mitts to handle the cookware.

  4. All cast iron cookware can be used in the oven up to 250^ C / 480^ F.

  5. Do not store food or prepared food for prolonged periods of time inside the cookware. To avoid scratches on the surface of a ceramic or glass stovetop, always lift the cookware, never slide it across.

  6. Cook on a burner that is approximately similar in base diameter to that of the item you have selected.

  7. When cooking on gas, adjust the flame so it does not flare up the sides of the pan. Never allow a pan to boil dry. Never let your pan heat up too long.

  8. Cover the complete surface of the base with a liquid, oilor butter.

  9. Our pan and casseroles have fast heat transfer so food and oil char very quickly. Always cook using low to medium heat.

Only use high heat when the pot is filled with a liquid for boiling your food (like for instance pasta).

  1. We recommend using bamboo, silicone, nylon or wooden utensils to protect and extend the life of your cookware.

Never cut food while in the pan as this will damage the surface. Don't use beaters or mixers in these items.

  1. Do not drop the pan on the floor and protect the enameled coating from scratches.

On a table or counter, place hot pans and casseroles on a trivet.board or any protective material.

CARE AND CLEANING

Cooldown your pan before cleaning. Don't fill the hot cookware with cold water or immerse in cold water.

Avoid temperature shocks at all times.

Never put a (very) hot cast iron pot or pan immediately on a cool surface.

Never place a cold cast iron pot (from room temperature or from the fridge) directly in a pre-heated oven.

Always put the cold cast iron pot in a cold oven and let them pre-heat together at the same time. Temperature shocks will be avoided that way.

Don't put cast iron cookware in the dishwasher.

After each use, clean by hand with a dish detergent especially made for hand washing. Be sure that you do not use a harsh cleaning product that is based on citric acids or that contains chlorine bleach. Use warm, soapy water and sponge or a dishcloth. Do not use steel wooler nylon scrubbing pads, oven cleaner or any cleaner that is abrasive. Rinse in warm water and dry immediately with a soft cloth.

If you have remains of food stuck to the cookware, they can easily be removed by covering the bottom of the pan with water and letting it soak while gently heating it at low temperature (no need to let the water cook).

Do not use a metal utensil.

If you store your pots and pans by stacking them, put, for instance, a dish towel between them avoiding parts of the upper item to scratch the surface of the lower element.
