Frequently Asked Questions - Tango HBH455 HAMILTON BEACH

What to do if the blender does not start or stops during use?
Check that the plug is properly inserted into an electrical outlet. If the built-in circuit breaker has tripped, reset it. Also check the house fuses or circuit breakers. If the motor overheated, unplug the appliance and let it cool for 15 minutes before using it again.
Why are ingredients not blending properly?
Make sure to add enough liquid so the mixture is fluid. Solid pieces should not exceed 2.5 cm (1 inch). Do not fill the container beyond the maximum mark. Check that blades are sharp and not damaged. Use an appropriate speed for a homogeneous blend.
How to clean and sanitize the blender?
Prepare a solution of 15 mL (1 tablespoon) of bleach per 3.8 L (1 gallon) of cold water. Fill the container, put the lid on, and run at low speed for 2 minutes. Empty, then rinse with clear water. Wipe the exterior with a soft cloth soaked in the solution. For the lid and plug, immerse them in the solution for 2 minutes.
Can I blend hot liquids?
No, it is forbidden to blend hot liquids. This can damage the appliance and pose a burn risk. Use only room temperature or cold ingredients.
How to replace blades or container?
Inspect blades daily. If they are worn, chipped, cracked, or loose, stop use and replace the entire blade assembly. Never attempt to repair or tighten blades. Contact Hamilton Beach technical service for replacement parts.
Can I use an extension cord?
No, using an extension cord is prohibited. Plug the blender directly into a grounded outlet. Do not use an adapter either.
How to reset the built-in circuit breaker?
Locate the power switch/circuit breaker on the back of the blender. If it has tripped, press the reset button (usually red) to restore operation.
What safety precautions should I take?
Read all instructions. Do not leave the appliance unattended. Keep hands and utensils out of the container during operation. Always install the lid before starting. Unplug before cleaning. Use only on a stable, dry surface.
How to avoid damaging the blender?
Do not move or shake the appliance while it is running. If the mixture stops, turn off, remove the container, and use a spatula to push food toward the blades. Do not use a damaged container. Check blade condition daily.
