Using the battery

Commodore CVR 100 - Using the battery - 1

WARNING!

Commodore CVR 100 - WARNING! - 1

  • Charge the battery every 2 months for at least 1 hour, even if the Robot Vacuum Cleaner has not been in use, otherwise it will lose capacity.
  • Regular charging protects the battery from total discharge.
  • Never heat the battery or throw it into an open fire.
  • Never dispose of battery cells in household waste.
  • Never get moisture on the battery contacts.
  • The optimal operating temperature for the battery is between 10^ C and 30^ C . Above and below this temperature, the power output will deteriorate, resulting in a reduced range.
  • The battery may only be charged using the supplied power adapter. Ensure the correct voltage supply (100-240 V / 50-60 Hz).
  • The battery must not be charged if the charging cable is damaged. Please contact the dealer for help.
  • A battery's service life and performance depends on its age, care and how often it has been used.
  • For an optimal service life, charge and store the battery in a dry and clean environment, preferably at 7-15°C room temperature.
  • The Robot Vacuum Cleaner and the power adapter must not be covered during the charging process.
  • Depending on the charging status, lithium batteries have a freezing point of about -20^ to -25^ . If a battery cell freezes, it will be irretrievably destroyed and the whole battery will need to be replaced.

Using the battery

Commodore CVR 100 - Using the battery - 1

WARNING!

Commodore CVR 100 - WARNING! - 1

  • A lithium ion battery loses capacity at low temperatures, just like conventional batteries.
  • Compared to other battery models, lithium-ion batteries experience very little self-discharge and have a very low memory effect, but they must be charged periodically.
  • Please note that a over-discharged battery is irreparably destroyed and must to be replaced for a fee. The battery should also never be completely discharged during operation.

Cleaning, maintenance and storage

  • Before cleaning, maintenance and/or storage, switch off the Robot Vacuum Cleaner (press the power button ⏻ for about 3 seconds to switch the robot vacuum on or off) and pull the power adapter out of the socket.

  • The mopcloth is not suitable for washing machines and tumble dryers.
  • Do not iron the mopcloth.

Troubleshooting

If the Robot Vacuum Cleaner detects a problem, the power button ⏻ will flash red.

  • Clean the anti-fall sensors and the distance sensors with a lint-free, soft, dry cloth and remove any foreign objects.
  • Move the Robot Vacuum Cleaner to a different location and restart it.
  • Check the connection between the power adapter and the charging station.
  • Check and clean the charging contacts of the Robot Vacuum Cleaner and the charging station.

- If the Robot Vacuum Cleaner repeatedly collides with the same obstacle, the bumper may be jammed. Check the bumper for dirt. Remove any foreign objects that may be present.

  • If the runtime is shortened, the battery may not be fully charged. Completely charge the Robot Vacuum Cleaner.
  • If the suction strength drops noticeably, the high-perfor - mance H12 filter may be very dirty. Clean the filter or replace it with a new one.
  • If the dust container loses dirt, it may be too full and need to be emptied.

Troubleshooting

- There may be several causes for the Robot Vacuum Cleaner not starting at the scheduled time:

  1. The scheduled time was not saved or deleted (e.g., when changing the battery in the remote control). Select the scheduled time again and save it as described on page 19.
  2. The Robot Vacuum Cleaner is switched off. Switch on the Robot Vacuum Cleaner.
  3. The battery needs to be charged. Make sure that the Robot Vacuum Cleaner returns to the charging station after each use. That will ensure that the battery is always charged.
  4. The Robot Vacuum Cleaner cannot move. Move the Robot Vacuum Cleaner to a different location and restart it.

If the solutions above do not work, switch off the Robot Vacuum Cleaner for about 5 minutes. This will reset the Robot Vacuum Cleaner.

If the Robot Vacuum Cleaner does not work after resetting, please contact the dealer.

Warranty

Please read the operating manual carefully before use in order to familiarise yourself with how to use the Robot Vacuum Cleaner.

KSR Group GmbH grants a separate warranty if the following conditions are met. The statutory warranty provisions and the claims arising from the Product Liability Act remain unaffected by this. Any claims of the purchaser to supplementary rectification and compensation in the event of defects shall also remain unaffected if the corresponding conditions are met.

The warranty applies to the CVR 100 Robot Vacuum Cleaner and is for 24 months from the date of purchase (based on the date of the receipt).

The battery has a warranty of 6 months from the date of purchase.

The warranty covers material, design and manufacturing defects, provided that the defect was already present upon delivery and the product was handled by the purchaser in an appropriate and intended manner. Wearing parts and materials used for servicing work are excluded from the warranty. The warranty includes either free repair, replacement of the defective part or parts, or replacement of the entire product with an equivalent product. The choice of remedy resides with KSR Group GmbH.

Warranty

If a malfunction/defect occurs, the dealer must be informed immediately, and the problem that has occurred must be described to them in detail. If the problem cannot be solved in this way, the thoroughly cleaned product, including all accessories, must be packaged for safe transport and returned in accordance with the dealer's instructions.

The following information and documents must be attached to the package:

  1. Surname, first name and address (also to be stated on the outside of the package)
  2. Item no. and serial no. (can be found on the underside of the foot board)
  3. Purchase date
  4. Original receipt
  5. Informative description of the fault
  6. In case of damage during transport: Name of the parcel service and parcel number

It is strongly recommended to use the original packaging to ensure safe transport. If you use any other packaging, ensure that it is properly protected against the typical risks of shipping and has appropriate protective devices. Mere cardboard packaging with paper padding is not sufficient. KSR Group GmbH accepts no liability for damage caused by improper packaging, and the warranty will become void.

Warranty

The warranty does not apply in the following cases:

• in the event of use other than the intended use
- in the event of improper operation, care and/or maintenance or storage (e.g., damage caused by moisture or excessive temperatures, neglected products, etc.)
- in the event of repairs, repair attempts and modifications of any kind or in the event of use of third-party spare parts and accessories, etc., which have been carried out by anyone other than KSR Group GmbH or companies authorised by KSR Group GmbH
- in the event of improper transport packaging and/or improper transport
- in the event of improper mechanical influences on the product or parts of the product
- in the case of any events which are not due to the processing and manufacture of the product (e.g., a fall, impact, damage due to external influences, fire, earthquake, flood damage, lightning, etc.)
- unless original proof of purchase is presented
- when used for private purposes, especially for commercial use

If KSR Group GmbH incurs costs for sending back/returning a product, although neither a warranty case nor a right to return exists, these must be borne by the purchaser.

natural_image Two identical diagrams of waste sorting bins with diagonal lines crossing each other, no text or symbols present.

Old appliances may not be disposed of with household waste! If the Robot Vacuum Cleaner can no longer be used, all consumers are required by law to bring the old device to a separate waste collection point, for example in their community or district, and not in the household waste. This ensures that the old appliances are properly recycled and that negative effects on the environment are avoided. It is for this reason that electrical appliances are marked with this symbol.

Please take defective batteries or ones that are no longer usable to your local collection point. Look for the symbol on the battery.
