How to install the TV stand?

Place the TV flat on a foam cushion. Insert the two feet into the central axis, then secure them with the 6 screws provided. Then carefully lift the TV.

How to connect an antenna or cable?

Connect the antenna cable (75 Ω) to the RF IN socket on the back of the TV. For DTT, make sure the antenna is correctly oriented.

How to perform channel search?

Go to Menu > Programme > Auto Tuning. Select your country and tuning mode (DTT or cable). Start the search; channels will be saved automatically.

How to use the USB recording function?

Insert a USB stick formatted in FAT32. Press the REC button on the remote to record the current DVB-T program. You can also schedule a recording via the Program Guide.

What to do if the remote does not work?

Check the batteries: insert two AAA batteries respecting polarity (+/-). If used, replace them. Point the remote towards the TV sensor without obstacles.

How to clean the TV screen?

Turn off the TV and unplug it. Use a soft dry cloth. For stubborn spots, slightly dampen the cloth with soapy water, wring it out well, then wipe. Never spray water directly.

What does the red/blue indicator light mean?

The red light indicates the TV is in standby. The blue light comes on when the device is on. If the light blinks, refer to the troubleshooting section.

How to adjust picture and sound?

Press MENU, then navigate to Picture to adjust mode (Standard, Dynamic, etc.), contrast, brightness. For sound, go to Sound to choose sound mode (Music, Movie...) or adjust the equalizer.

How to use the Timeshift function (TV pause)?

Insert a compatible USB stick. In DVB-T mode, press the ▶/II button once to pause the program; time-shifted recording starts. Press again to resume playback.

How to update the TV software?

You can update via USB: download the update file from the Schneider website, place it on a USB stick, then insert it into the TV. Go to Menu > About > Software Update (USB). You can also check via Internet in the same menu.

Auto Standby

In order to save energy, the electricity consumption of this product has been reduced in both operation mode and standby mode. 1. The television is in standby state when no images arise and the red indicating lamp shines.
2. Press the standby button again on the remote control for the television the indicating lamp becomes green.

Connecting external antenna to the unit

We recommend you use a 75Ω antenna cable so as to eliminate the disturbance caused by impedance mismatching. The antenna cable shall not be bundled together with the power cord.

Directly insert the 75Ω antenna cable plug into the antenna socket when applying cable television.

Note: The antenna should be checked periodically. If clear image is not available, shut down the power and then carefully check the antenna.

Connecting Cables

This TV has digital multimedia performance and can be connected to multiple external devices. The following diagram presents the connections to other video and audio.

With the ARC, you can simplify the cable connections in your installation! If you have an ARC-enabled home theater, simply connect it to the HDMI port of this TV. From the home cinema, the picture and the sound of the video player will be transmitted to the TV; and vice versa, from the TV (DTV mode for example), the sound will be transmitted to the home theater, all in one cable.

Notes:

The remote control shall be applied in effective reception scope of the television. Make the remote control point towards the infrared receiver of the television and ensure that there are no obstacles. Its normal operation distance will be shortened in direct sunlight or lamplight. Be careful to use the remote control. avoid falling off or being trampled or splashed with liquids.

1. Place the machine flat on a desktop (Caution: put a foam cushion under the machine to avoid it from scratching.)
2. Align the screw holes on stand and TV bottom (Figure 2)
3. Fix the stand and the screen with 6pcs provided screws. (Figure 3)

1. Loose the screws between the machine and stand (Figure 1).
2. Remove the 2 stands from the machine (Figure 2).

Wall Mounting Instructions

• Use standard M6*12mm screws (4 pieces, not included) to mount this TV. Using different screws as specified will damage the wall mounting support and will be outside the scope of product guarantee.
• Contact a professional technician for assistance when wall mounting your TV.
• Do not wall mount the TV while TV is turned on.
• Refer to the instruction of your wall mounting bracket.

First Time Installation

• Connect to power source and turn on this TV, welcome page will display on the screen.
• Press UP/DOWN navigation buttons on remote control to select an option.
• Press OK button on remote control to confirm selection.

Select the on-screen menu language and press OK to enter next page.

Step 2: Data Collection and Firmware Updates Notice

- Use UP/DOWN navigation buttons to highlight “VIEW ADDITIONAL DETAILS” or “ACCEPT” (accept all notices) and press OK to enter next page.

Step 3: Country

Select your country and press OK to enter next page.

Step 4: Usage Mode

Select Home or Shop mode according to your using environment and press OK to enter next page.

Step 5: Network

- Select the Wi-Fi or Wired network according to which type of network is available for you. You may need to input a password if the Wi-Fi account is encrypted. To use Wired network, please connect a network cable to LAN port of this product.

- Select "SKIP" if you want to configure it next time.

Step 6: Input Source

- Use UP/DOWN navigation buttons to select an input source and press OK button to enter it.

Note: If you selected “TV” input source in Initial Setup, this product will scan available channels automatically. So, in order to make the scanning successful, please connect an antenna to RF port before scanning.

Home of Smart TV

• Before using Smart function, please connect a Wi-Fi or Wired network through “First Time Installation” or OSD menu (press MENU button and go to “Network”).
• Press HOME button on Remote Control to enter the HOME page of Smart TV.

Notice: The Home picture of Smart TV may vary due to software update.

• Press LEFT/RIGHT navigation buttons to select an application and press OK button to enter it.
• To view more pre-installed applications, highlight "More" in Home page and press OK button to enter it.
• To view more applications which are not pre-installed in this product, highlight “Smart TV Apps” in Home page and press OK button to enter it.

Picture Mode: available options: Standard, Movie, Dynamic, User.

Contrast / Brightness / Color / Sharpness: adjustable value: 0-100.

Note: You can adjust Brightness, Contrast, Color and Sharpness only when Picture mode is "User". Tint is adjustable only for NTSC system.

1.2 Backlight

This item is used to adjust the suitable backlight condition.

1.3 Color Temperature

This item is used to adjust the optimum color temperature for suitable viewing.

Available options: Standard, Warm, Cool.

1.4 Aspect Ratio

This item is used to adjust the screen size.

Available options: Auto, 4:3, 16:9, Movie, Subtitle, Panorama.

Note: The available screen size may be different for different input source.

1.5 Noise Reduction

Available options: Off, Low, Middle, High, Auto.

2. Sound

2.1 Sound Mode

- Press UP/DOWN/LEFT/RIGHT navigation buttons to select an option.

Sound Mode: available options: Standard, Music, Movie, Sport, User.

Equalizer: if selected "User" in Sound Mode, you can enter equalizer and adjust the value accordingly.

2.2 Balance

This item is used to adjust the audio output between left and right speaker from -50 to 50.

2.3 Auto Volume Limit

This item is used to turn on/off Auto Volume Limit.

2.4 Surround Sound

Turn on/off Surround Sound for better sound experience.

2.5 Dolby Audio Process

Turn on/off Dolby Audio Process.

2.6 AD Switch

This item is used to turn on/off Audio Description function. For Visually Impaired users, this function can help to know a certain scene or action through the narration, instead of viewing.

Notes:

- AD Switch function works only when you are viewing programs that contain related narration information.

- The users can adjust AD Volume when AD Switch is on.

2.7 Digital Output Type

Select the desired digital output type for SPDIF or OPTICAL.

Available options: Auto, PCM, RAW, Transcode DD, Transcode DDP.

2.8 Audio Type

Available options: Normal, Hearing Impaired, Visual Impaired.

2.9 Audio Delay

Adjust this item if you found the sound is not totally simultaneous with TV picture.

3. Setting

3.1 Language

This item is used to select desired on-screen display language.

3.2 OSD Time

This item is used to select desired OSD menu active time.

Available options: Always, 5/10/15 seconds.

3.3 HBBTV

This item is used to turn on/off HBBTV.

3.4 Link Setup

• Press UP/DOWN navigation button to highlight it and press OK button to enter.
• Make sure the HDMI device (Amplifier, etc.) is connected correctly.
• Press INPUT button on remote control to select HDMI input source.

Link - CEC: turn on/off CEC Control.

HDMI ARC: if this function is enabled, the users can use external amplifier or audio decoding device which featured with ARC.

Note: "ARC" function in "HDMI1" port only.

Auto Power On: if this function is enabled, this TV will power on automatically when turn on external connected CEC device.

Auto Standby: if this function is enabled, external connected CEC device will power off automatically when turn off this TV.

3.5 Time

- Press UP/DOWN navigation button to highlight it and press OK button to enter.

Auto Sync: turn on/off Auto Synchronization.

Clock: you can adjust Year, Month, Day, Hour and Minute when “Auto Sync” is off.

Off Time: set a Auto Power Off Timer though adjusting Off Time Mode, Hour and Minute.

On Time: set a Auto Power On Timer though adjusting On Time Mode, Hour, Minute and input source.

Sleep Timer: set the automatic sleep time when no signals. (Off, 10/20/30/60/90/120/180/240 minutes)

Auto Sleep: turn on/off auto sleep function. This product will turn to standby mode when no operations were done through the remote control.

Time Zone: select the current time zone. (Note: This item can't be adjusted when "Auto Sync" is off.)

3.6 Reset

This item is used to recall factory default settings.

3.7 PC Adjust (PC or VGA mode only)

This item is used to configure PC/VGA settings.

Note: Before using "PC Adjust", press INPUT button on the remote control to enter PC (or VGA) source. Also you need to connect your PC to this product.

3.8 User Mode

This item is used to select Home or Shop mode.

4. LOCK

• When entered "Lock", input the factory default password "0000" using number buttons on remote control.
• Press UP/DOWN navigation button to select preferred item.

Note: If you forget the password, please use the universal password "8899".

4.1 Lock System

This item is used to turn on/off Lock System.

4.2 Set Password

- Input a new password twice using number buttons on remote control to set a new password.

4.3 CI CAM Pin Code

This item is used to set a password for CI CAM.

4.4 Hotel Mode

• Press OK or RIGHT navigation button to enter it.
• Press UP/DOWN navigation button to move the cursor.
• Press LEFT/RIGHT navigation button to select an option.

Hotel Enable: turn on/off Hotel Mode.

Max Volume: set the maximum volume level.

Power On Mode: select the power on mode.

Lock Keypad: turn on/off keypad lock.

Start Channel: set the default digital program.

Backup Database: export database to USB device.

Import Database: import database from USB device.

- Insert a USB memory device to this product first.

5.1 PVR File System

Select disk and timeshift size, format your USB memory device, check USB speed.

Start recording when watching digital TV programs.

6.1 Auto Tuning

• Press OK or RIGHT navigation button to enter it.
• Use navigation buttons to set the Tuning Mode and Country.
• When finished above settings, highlight "Start" and press OK to start program tuning.

6.2 DTV Manual Tuning

• Press OK or RIGHT navigation button to enter it.
• Use LEFT/RIGHT navigation button to select the channel. Highlight "Search" and press OK button to start searching.

6.3 ATV Manual Tuning

- Press OK or RIGHT navigation button to enter it.

Channel Number: select current channel.

Search: search available programs.

Fine Tune: fine tune the frequency.

Save: save current settings.

Sound System: select available sound system.

Color System: select available color system.

6.4 Signal information

This item is used to display signal details, for example: signal quality and strength.

6.5 CI information

When an available CAM (Conditional Access Module) card is connected to the CI slot, the users can view related information or manage your CAM card.

7.1 Wi-Fi

- Press OK to enter submenu.

Auto Scan

• Scan available Wi-Fi account nearby.
• Press UP/DOWN navigation button to select an available Wi-Fi account.
• Then press OK to display the on-screen keyboard. Use navigation buttons to input a password and select "Enter" on the built-in keyboard to connect it.

Manual Input

- Also you can configure the wireless network manually.

- Press OK to display the on-screen keyboard. Use navigation buttons to input a name.

- Press OK to display the on-screen keyboard. Use navigation buttons to input a password.

- Press LEFT/RIGHT button to select desired security type.

When finished the above settings, highlight “Connect” and press OK to connect the network.

7.2. Ethernet

• Press OK to enter submenu.
• If Local Area Network is available in you area, plug a LAN cable into LAN terminal on TV back.
• Use navigation buttons to select DHCP or Static configuration.
• Select "Connect" and press OK to connect directly.

Note: To use “Wake On LAN / WLAN”, make sure your Smart TV and this TV have connected the same Wi-Fi (or WLAN) network. Access “YouTube” on your Smart Phone and find the icon to pair your Smart Phone with this TV. Then press STANDBY button on the remote control to turn this TV to standby mode. Click the icon again on your Smart Phone and click the name of this product to wake it.

9. Recording Function

With this product, you can easily record your favorite DVB-T programs on your USB stick. This unit has 2 recording modes: immediate recording and scheduled recording (for use in case of absence).

Recording a program by using a USB

This unit allows you to record your favorite DVB-T programs in a simple and friendly way. You just need a USB key and insert it into the unit. The recording will be made on the key and you can view the recordings later from this unit or any other compatible multimedia devices.

Notes: Do not remove your USB stick while playback is in progress, otherwise the content of your USB drive could be damaged. Press the STOP button to stop playback and them remove your USB stick.

Preparation for the first recording

When using a USB stick with this unit for the first time, you should first format it using this unit. Formatting your USB stick directly on the receiver improves compatibility of the device with the unit. More particularly, FAT file system will be converted into FAT 32. This helps improve recording quality and fluidity. Caution: formatting will deletes all the files on the USB device! You should create a backup of all the files you want to keep beforehand.

How to access "Format Disk"?

Press the "MENU" button on the remote control to enter the OSD menu, then press navigation button to select the "PVR Option >> PVR File System >> Format".

Immediate recording

Insert a compatible USB device which has been previously formatted. Wait for about 5 seconds until the device is recognized. Simply press the REC button on the remote control in order to start immediate recording. Please note this function allows recording of DVB-T channels only, other sources such as analog TV will not be recorded.

Scheduled recording

Press GUIDE button on the remote control to open Program Guide and press RIGHT navigation button repeatedly to open submenu. Then select “Record” and enter it to set schedule recording.

View recorded programs

Press MENU button on the remote control and go to “PVR Option >> Record Files”.

Notes on recording and USB functions

• If you want to record a film or a long program, use a memory stick of larger capacity (eg. 16GB). If you want to save several films, opt for external hard drives of large capacity.
• The loading time of the USB device is too long: When you insert a USB support, the loading time can sometimes be a minute or more. This depends on the size of your support, the number of files on it and, above all, the complexity of its directories. You can reduce loading time by avoiding the use of multiple sub-directories in your USB disk. Avoid such multiple-subdirectories like “Directory/Subdirectory/Sub-subdirectory/....” and store files in a single simple directory.

- USB Device Recognition Problems

4) After connecting your USB device to the unit, you may need to turn the device on before it can be detected by the receiver.
5) This unit does not support direct USB connection with computer. It is necessary for you to transfer your data/files on a USB stick or MP3 player. If you are using an external hard drive to be connected via USB, you must connect the hard drive simultaneously with a power source and with the unit.
6) If you are using a portable video player with hard drive, you must make sure that the internal battery is fully charged. Verify that the file system of your USB device is properly formatted in FAT 32. USB media formatted in NTFS is not compatible with this unit. The USB device used may not be fully compatible with USB 2.0. In this case, try a different USB stick in order to identify the problem.

- Recording Quality

If your recording is shaky or choppy – The data stream to be recorded is very important. Certain USB sticks, even some new USB 2.0 ones, do not allow sufficient data transfer rate. If this happens, try with a newer USB device or with an external hard drive. With external hard drives, data transfer rate is sufficiently high and this problem should be solved.

Time Shift Function

This TV presents a function called “Time Shift” which allows recording of TV program onto a digital storage medium (e.g. USB stick or external hard disc, not supplied). You may then watch the program at a later time that is more convenient to you. Want to put the television on pause? It is now possible with the “Time Shift” function, which records the TV program during your phone call or your coffee break. With “Time Shift”, you will not miss anything anymore! Notes: This function is only available in DVB-T mode.

How to use the service Timeshift

1. Insert a USB key into USB port before you activate Timeshift function.

2. Press the button ▶/II once to start recording. The broadcasting TV program is stop and the image is frozen on screen. During this time, the TV program is being recorded and you can take a break.

3. Press the button to exit recording.

Note on use of the Timeshift function:

1. Please make sure the Timeshift mode is set ON in record setting menu.
2. The Time Shift function requires a high data transfer rate between the USB device and the unit. Indeed, a recording and a (deferred) playback simultaneously take place on the USB device. Certain USB sticks, even some new USB 2.0 devices, may lead to shaky image or choppy sound. If you encounter this problem, it is necessary to change the USB device. External hard drives, self-powered by mains, provide the highest transfer rates and allow you to use the Time Shift function optimally. In case of recording quality problems or playback problems such as choppy or blocked image, you may also try to format your USB device.

10. Media Player

Before operating MEDIA menu, plug in USB device. Press the SOURCE button on remote control to open SOURCE list. Then press UP navigation button to USB (or Media) and press OK button to enter it.

Press ◀/▶ ▲/▼ button to highlight your preferred submenu: Photo, Music and Video, press OK button to confirm.

- Press the button to start playback.

Remark: Depending on the capacity of the device, the reading can take more than 1 minute before launching the video.

The unit cannot read my USB device.

• Once you have plugged your device to the unit, you may need to switch on the USB device before it can operate.
• This unit does not support a direct USB connection with a computer. You need to use a USB device, a MP3 player or a PMP (Portable Multimedia Player with hard disk).
• If you are using a USB external hard disk: you need to connect your device simultaneously to an external power source and to the unit. If you are using a self-powered PMP, make sure that the battery is sufficiently loaded.
• Check that the files system of your USB device is formatted into the FAT or FAT 32 format. USB device formatted into NTFS are not compatible with this unit. Caution: if you attempt to modify your file system, formatting your device will erase all data. Please refer to your USB device's instruction manual first.
• Warning: Connect your USB device directly to the USB port of the device. Using an extension cable is not recommended and may cause interference and failure of data transfer.

Troubleshooting

No image and voice

Possible causes:

• Power cord, antenna or input devices are not connected;
  • The TV set is not powered on.

Solutions:

• Check Power cord, antenna and input devices;
• Press Power key on the remote control;
• Press Power key on the set to power it off for 5 seconds and then re-power it on.

No voice

Possible causes:

• The volume is too low; Muted or cancelled;
• Incorrect sound system.

Solutions:

• Press Volume key to turn up the volume;
• Press Mute key to cancel Mute mode.
• Well connect connection to the background sound;
• Change the sound system in the menu.

Snows and noises

Possible causes:

• The cable is damaged or gets loose;
- Incorrect channel preset;
- Improper antenna positioning.

Solutions:

• Check whether the connection of the antenna cable, DVD and the cables is correct;
• Reset channels or fine tune the channel;
• Adjust the direction of the antenna.

Achromatic colour

Possible causes:

- Incorrect Colour system settings; Low chroma level setting;

- Improper antenna positioning.

Solutions:

- Change the colour system into the local system in the menu;

- Increase chroma level;

- Adjust the direction of the antenna.

Remote control has no response

Possible causes:

• Battery runs up;
• Incorrect battery loading;

Solutions:

• Check the battery electricity or replace the battery;
• Check if the poles of the battery are correct.

Note: To properly watch CANAL+ using this product, carry out DVB-T channel search when CANAL+ is unscrambled, from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. and from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

Important Notice

The display of this television is made up of a large number of colour. Although it has at least 99.999% of effective pixels, some black dots or bright spots (red, green or blue) may appear constantly on the screen. This is a characteristic of the screen (according to industrial standards), and is not a defect. Sometimes, the screen may include an unlit pixel, which will be seen as a blue, red, green or black dot. This does not affect the functioning of the product and should be considered normal.

Cleaning Instruction

• Before cleaning this product, press STANDBY button to turn it to the standby mode and wait for a few minutes to disconnect the power plug.
• Wipe this product with a dry, soft cloth. Do not spray water directly onto the TV, but apply a small amount of water on the corner of the cloth and wipe as gently as possible. Never use cleaning fluids, wax, or chemicals.
• Never use alcohol, benzene, thinner, cleaning fluid or other chemicals. And do not use compressed air to remove dust.
• If the surface is extremely dirty, wipe it with a cloth which has been dipped in a weak soap-water solution and wrung out thoroughly, and then wipe again with a dry cloth.
• Before you plug in the TV back, let the screen dry completely.

Note on Defective Pixels
