How to adjust the position of the Bouncer Bliss chair?

To adjust the position, lift the adjustment mechanism and set the backrest to the desired position (A, B, C or D). Make sure the mechanism is locked before placing the child.

What is the maximum weight for each position?

In lounger mode: position A (Play) up to 9 kg, B (Rest) up to 9 kg, C (Sleep) up to 7 kg. In armchair mode: A up to 13 kg, B up to 10 kg, C up to 7 kg.

Can I use the Bouncer Bliss as an armchair?

Yes, as soon as the child can walk and sit up alone, simply flip the seat fabric to convert the lounger into an armchair. The maximum weight is then 13 kg.

How to wash the chair fabric?

Detach the lower elastic bands and slide the fabric off the frame. Wash it separately in the machine at 40°C. Do not tumble dry.

Can I place the chair on a table or bed?

No, it is dangerous to place this product on an elevated surface. Use only on the floor, never on a table, bed, or cushion.

Is the chair safe for a newborn?

Yes, from 3.5 kg. Always use the safety harness and place the chair in the lowest position (C) for newborns. Never leave the child unattended.

When should I stop using the lounger?

Stop using the product as a lounger as soon as the child can sit up unaided. At that point, you can convert it into an armchair.

How to fold the chair for transport?

Set the adjustment mechanism to position A or B, then pull the red locking system backwards and set the mechanism to position D (transport). The chair will then fold.

Is the toy bar removable?

Yes, the toy bar can be removed. Never use it to carry the lounger.

Congratulations on choosing a BABYBJÖRN Bouncer! It was developed in close collaboration with pediatricians and has a unique ergonomic shape that gives your child's head and back the correct support.

This BABYBJÖRN Bouncer may be used both as a bouncer and as a comfy chair. It can be used as a bouncer from newborn (at least 8 lbs/3.5 kg) until your child has learned to sit up without help. When your child can walk and sit on his or her own, you can turn the fabric around to create a comfy chair (up to 29 lbs/13 kg or approx. 2 years).

The bouncer has many features, and you will learn how to use it best by reading the following pages.

POSITIONS

It is easy to start using the bouncer. Place it in front of you and fold up the seat until you hear a click. Important! Only an adult shall unfold.

This BABYBJÖRN Bouncer has four positions. The lowest position, C, is recommended for newborns sitting in the bouncer. Positions A and B can be used when the child can hold his or her back and head upright in these positions without a problem. It is not dangerous to exceed the recommended maximum weight for a position, but the rocking function will not work as well.

PLEASE NOTE THE MAXIMUM WEIGHT FOR EACH POSITION

When the product is used as a bouncer, the maximum weight is 20 lbs/9 kg according to European Standard EN12790:2009. We therefore recommend the following maximum weights per position:

A. Highest position "Play" up to 20 lbs/9 kg. B. Medium position "Rest" up to 20 lbs/9 kg C. Lowest position "Sleep" up to 15.5 lbs/7 kg. D. Transportation mode - when the product is not being used.

When the product is being used as a chair, we recommend the following maximum weights per position:

A. Highest position "Play" up to 29 lbs/13 kg. B. Medium position "Rest" up to 22 lbs/10 kg. C. Lowest position "Sleep" up to 15.5 lbs/7 kg. D. Transportation mode - when the product is not being used.

This reclined cradle does not replace a cradle/ crib or a bed. Should your child need to sleep, then he or she should be placed in a suitable cot or bed.

TO CHANGE POSITION

Lift the positioner and move it into the desired position, at the same time as you lift the backrest with your other hand.

Make sure that the positioner is securely locked into place before putting your child in the bouncer. If you adjust the bouncer's position when your child is sitting in it, make sure that the positioner is locked into place before letting go of the backrest.

TRANSPORTATION MODE

To fold the bouncer for travel or storage, the positioner must be set to position A or B. Pull back the red safety latch and set the positioner to the transport mode, D.

Always use the restraint system. Make sure that both buttons are locked. You can adjust between two positions.

Stop using the product as a bouncer once your child can sit up without help.

Chair (max 29 lbs/13 kg)

Use as a chair when your child can walk and sit on his or her own. To convert the product into a chair, all you have to do is turn the fabric around.

When you want to use the product as a chair, just turn the fabric seat around. Loosen the restraint system's buttons. After that, loosen the two elastic loops at the bottom and pull the fabric seat off from the frame.

Turn the fabric seat over and slide it onto the frame again. The flat side should now be facing up. Fasten the fabric seat again with the two elastic loops at the bottom.

The restraint system will now wind up on the bottom side. Push it in as far as it can go.

Wipe the rubber strips underneath the bouncer with a damp cloth from time to time, in order to guarantee that it is fixed as firmly as possible to the floor.

TO WASH THE FABRIC

To wash the fabric seat, loosen the two elastic loops at the bottom and pull it off the frame. Wash separately, warm/40°C. Do not tumble-dry.

Do not use accessories or replacement parts other than those approved by the manufacturer.

SUFFOCATION HAZARD: Babies have suffocated when bouncers tipped over on soft surfaces.

• NEVER leave baby unattended.

To prevent falls and suffocation:

• ALWAYS use restraints. Adjust to fit snugly.
• STOP using bouncer when baby starts trying to sit up.

• Use as chair when your child can walk and sit on her own.
• Do not use restraint system.

WARNING

AMPUTATION HAZARD: Chair can fold or collapse if lock is not fully engaged.

Moving parts can amputate child's fingers.

Keep fingers away from moving parts. Completely unfold chair and fully engage locks before allowing child to sit in chair. Never allow child to fold or unfold chair.
