Is the CAFQ01 compatible with all 19-inch racks?

Yes, it is compatible with any 48.26 cm (19 inch) rack with front rails. However, it requires the CAPT01 SANUS EcoSystem for power.

How to install the CAFQ01 fan in a rack?

Installation can be done in three ways: on the top (by removing a ventilated panel), on a rear panel, or on the front (in the upper 3U). Refer to pages 5-6 of the manual for detailed diagrams.

What power supply is required for the CAFQ01?

The fan operates on 12 V DC and must be powered by the CAPT01 SANUS EcoSystem. Use the 12 volt outlets of the CAPT01, either in continuous mode (ALWAYS ON) or thermostatic mode (THERMOSTAT CONTROLLED).

No, the CAFQ01 is designed exclusively for use with the CAPT01 SANUS EcoSystem. Without this system, the fan cannot be powered.

A-Top

Remove the vented panel. Mount the cooling fan [01] using the screws preinstalled in the top. For a second fan [01], remove the adjacent solid panel and add fan.

B-Back panel

Note: CFR21XX Series rack shown

With the small back panel positioned at the top, mount fan [01] in place of the access panel. Reuse the screws from the access panel to mount the fan.

Mount the fan [01] at the top 3U location on the front rails of the rack using four 10 - 32 × 3/4 in. screws (not included). It is usually mounted directly above the CAPT01 SANUS EcoSystem™ Multi-volt Power Supply.
