How to adjust the temperature on the Emerio FH212092.1 fan heater?

Press the + or - buttons to set the desired temperature between 6°C and 35°C. The temperature flashes then the ambient temperature is displayed. The heating turns on when the ambient temperature is 2°C below the set temperature.

How to set the timer?

Press the timer button (clock). '0H' flashes. Use + or - to set the duration from 1 to 24 hours. The timer is displayed then a dot flashes to confirm. The appliance turns off automatically after the set time.

What to do if odor or smoke is emitted during first use?

This is normal during first use. Ensure sufficient ventilation. The odor and smoke disappear after a few moments.

How to clean the heater?

Turn off the appliance, unplug it and let it cool. Clean the housing with a damp cloth (no abrasive detergents). Vacuum the air inlet and outlet grilles with a vacuum cleaner or brush. Never immerse the appliance in water.

Can I use this heater in a bathroom?

No, the appliance must not be used near a bathtub, shower or swimming pool. Do not use it in a bathroom or laundry room. Indoor use only.

How does the overheat protection work?

If the appliance overheats, it turns off automatically. Turn it off, unplug it and let it cool for at least 30 minutes before turning it back on.

How to use the remote control?

Insert a CR2025 battery into the remote control (follow the indications on the back). Use the remote control to control the appliance. Remove the battery if the appliance is not used for a long period.

SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

Before use make sure to read all of the below instructions in order to avoid injury or damage, and to get the best results from the appliance. Make sure to keep this manual in a safe place. If you give or transfer this appliance to someone else make sure to also include this manual.

In case of damage caused by user failing to follow the instructions in this manual the warranty will be void. The manufacturer/importer accepts no liability for damages caused by failure to follow the manual, a negligent use or use not in accordance with the requirements of this manual.

1. This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved.

2. Children shall not play with the appliance.

3. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision.

4. Children of less than 3 years should be kept away unless continuously supervised.

5. Children aged from 3 years and less than 8 years shall only switch on/off the appliance provided that it has been placed or installed in its intended normal operating position and they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children aged from 3 years and less than 8 years shall not plug in,

Remote control

Please use one piece of CR2025 battery for this remote control. Please insert the battery to the remote control tightly (Refer to the instruction behind the remote control). If it is not in use for a long time, please take the battery out of the remote control. Keep button cell batteries out of reach of small children.

Note!

There might be a small amount of smoke and odour when first time of use. This is not harmful and will stop after a short while. Please ensure meanwhile that there is sufficient ventilation.

Operation

Plug the appliance into an appropriate electrical outlet. Turn on the appliance by pressing the main power switch to position "I". A beep sound will be heard and at the meantime, "..." shows in the LED display. Press button "⊕", the appliance begins to work. Room temperature and power icon "Lo" (low heat output) will alternatively appear on the display.

1. Power setting

Press button "Mode" to set high heat mode (2000W) or low heat mode (1000W), the display of "HI" (high) or "Lo" (low) will be on the display accordingly.

2. Temperature setting

Press button “-” or “+” to set the desired temperature. You can choose from 6^ C to 35^ C. When you set your desired temperature, it will flash a few seconds, and then shows the room temperature again.

When you set your desired temperature, the appliance starts to heat when the room temperature is 2^ C below the set temperature and will stop heating as soon as the set temperature is reached.

3. Timer setting

Press button “ ”, “OH” will flash on the display, press button “+” or “-” to set your desired working hour from 1h to 24h. The set working time will flash several times, and then the room temperature will show and a little dot will flash on the display. The timer setting is done. The appliance will shut itself off automatically when the time is up.

Press button “💡”, set the working hour to “OH” to cancel the timer setting.

If do not set the timer, the appliance will be shut down automatically after 12 hours continuously work.

4. Horizontal rotation function

Press button “💡”, the appliance begins to rotate. Press button “💡” again, the rotation will stop. If horizontal rotation function is on, when the room temperature reaches the set temperture and the appliance stops heating, the rotation will stop too; it will start again when the appliance starts to heat. Always switch off the horizontal rotation function before you switch off the appliance.

5. Turn off

Press button “⏻” again to turn off the appliance. The fan will continue to work for another 20 seconds (the display will show countdown from 20 to 0) to protect and enhance the lifespan of the product. Turn off the main power switch and unplug the power cord from the outlet.

SAFETY SYSTEM

• The appliance has a safety system which automatically switches off the unit when overheated.
- If overheating occurs, switch off the appliance, remove the plug from the socket, and let it cool down for at least 30 minutes. Put the plug in the socket and switch on the heater.
- This heater is equipped with a tilt protection safety device. For safety reasons, the unit will automatically switch off the power after 20s later if it is put on unstable or uneven surfaces or if it is tilted accidentally.

MAINTENANCE

• The fan heater only needs regular cleaning on the outside.
• Before you clean the unit, turn off the switch. Remove the plug from the socket and wait until the fan heater cools down completely.
• Use a damp cloth to wipe the heater housing and use a vacuum cleaner or a dusting brush to clean the air inlet grille and outlet grille.
• Do not use detergents, abrasive cleaning liquids or chemicals (alcohol, gasoline etc.) to clean the appliance.
  • Never immerse the appliance in water!
• If the appliance is not used for an extended period it must be protected against excessive dust and dirt. Please store it in a dry place away from sunlight and dirt.
