How to use the StyleAdapt mode?

On first startup, the device is in StyleAdapt 1 mode. Wrap a strand of hair around the cylinder, making sure the hair is in good contact with the StyleAdapt sensor. Wait 10 to 20 seconds, then unwrap. The straightener automatically adjusts the temperature for optimal results.

How to switch to manual mode?

Press the ♦ button several times until the screen displays the temperature (e.g., 160°C) and the StyleAdapt indicator turns off. You can then manually adjust the temperature with the + and - buttons.

What temperature should I choose for my hair?

For fine, damaged, or bleached hair: 130-160 °C. For normal hair: 170-200 °C. For thick or very curly hair: 200-210 °C. High temperatures are intended for experienced users.

How to lock the temperature?

Set the desired temperature then press the '-' button for 2 seconds. A ° symbol appears next to the temperature. To unlock, repeat the same action.

IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS

• This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been supervised/instructed and understand the hazards involved. Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be done by children unless they are older than 8 and supervised. ADDITIONAL FEATURES

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE

• Before use, ensure the hair is clean, dry and tangle-free.
• For extra protection use a heat protection spray.
• Hairsprays contain flammable material – do not use while using this product.
  • Section the hair prior to styling. Style the lower layers first.
• Use the styling glove to avoid accidental burns.
• Plug your styler into the mains power supply.
• Press the on (⏻) button to switch on.
• When it is ready to use, your styler will beep three times and the display will stop flashing.

StyleAdapt Mode

1. When first switched on your stylister will be in StyleAdapt™ mode 1. The StyleAdapt™ indicator will be fully lit up and StyleAdapt 1 will be shown on the display.
2. Working on one section at a time, hold the handle with the cool tip facing down and wrap a section of hair around the barrel.
3. IMPORTANT: When wrapping ensure that hair is wrapped around the StyleAdapt™ sensor (Fig. A).
4. Wait 10-20 seconds for your curl to form.

5. Unwind the hair to release the curl.

6. Repeat this around the head to create as many curls as desired.

7. After styling each section, the StyleAdapt™ indicator will spin (fig. B) indicating that your stylist is learning about your hair and adjusting the barrel temperature to a heat that is personalised to you. The temperature changes are not shown on the display but happen quickly and automatically during styling.
8. NOTE: If the indicator spins when your stylist is not in use this just means that StyleAdapt™ Mode is on.
9. If you are sharing your stylist select StyleAdapt™ mode 2. This ensures that when the stylist is used by someone else, it doesn't change what it has learned about your hair. To select, press the Ⓞ button until StyleAdapt 2 is shown on the display.

Manual Mode

1. To override the StyleAdapt™ mode and use as a standard stylist, press the ⏻ button several times until the display shows the temperature (e.g. 160°C) and the StyleAdapt™ indicator goes off. Note that in manual mode, your stylist will no longer be learning about your hair and adapting the heat.
2. Select the appropriate temperature for your hair type using the “+” and “−” temperature controls on the side of the product. Start styling on lower temperatures first.
3. The “+” button will increase the temperature and the “−” button will decrease the temperature.

Caution: the hottest temperatures should only be used by experienced stylers.

5. To re-activate StyleAdapt™ mode press the ⏻ button until StyleAdapt 1 is shown on the display and the StyleAdapt™ indicator is illuminated. Your stylister will now be learning about your hair and adapting the heat again.
6. After use, press and hold the off button for two seconds to turn off then unplug the appliance.

Temperature Lock Function

• Set the desired temperature using the + and - buttons then lock the settings by pressing the “—” button for 2 seconds. The 🔒 symbol will appear on the temperature display.
  • To unlock the temperature setting, press and hold the “—” button for 2 seconds.

Memory Function

• Each time you use your stylister it will automatically set itself to the last setting used.

STORAGE, CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

Let the appliance cool down before cleaning and storing away

• Wipe all the surfaces with a damp cloth.
