3. Transport, packaging and storage

3.1 Delivery check

Please check the delivery upon completeness and transport damage immediately after receipt. In case of visible damage do not accept or accept the delivery with reservation only.

5. Installation and operation

5.1 Safety instructions

WARNING! Risk of electric shock!

The device must only be connected to a properly installed single socket with protective contact.

Never remove the power cable by pulling the cable itself; always grab the plug housing.

  • Never allow the power cable to come into contact with heat sources or sharp edges. The power cable should not hang over the side of the working surface. Ensure that no one can step on or trip over the cable.
  • The power cable must not be folded, bent or tangled, and must always remain fully unrolled.
  • Never place the device or other objects on the power cable.
  • Do not lay the cable over carpets or heat insulations. Do not cover the cable. Keep away the cable from operating range and do not dunk it into water.
  • Do not use the device in case it does not function properly, has been damaged or dropped.

5.2 Installation and connection

  • Unpack the device and remove all packing material.
  • Put the device in a safe place that can support its weight and is not heat sensitive.
  • Never place the device at the edge of a table to avoid accidents.
  • Never put the device in a moist or wet area.
  • Do not place the device near an open flame, electric heater or other heat source.
  • The electrical circuit of the socket must be secured to at least 16A. Only connect the device to a wall outlet; do not use any extension cords or power strips.
  • Place the device so that the plug is easily accessible so as to quickly disconnect the device if the need arises.

5.3 Operation

  • Before using the device, clean it in accordance with the instructions contained in 6.2 „Cleaning and descaling“.
    Pour the desired amount of water into the tank (up to the MAX indicator).
  • Before turning the device on, ensure it contains a fluid suitable for human consumption. The device must not hold liquids such as acids, oils, etc.!

CAUTION!

To reduce heating time and save energy, warm water can be used!

  • Place the lid on the tank and close it by turning clockwise.

  • Connect the device to a single grounded outlet.

  • Set the desired temperature between 30^ - 100^ using the temperature dial.
  • Turn the device on using the ON/OFF switch.
  • The red working light will come on, then the water will be heated to the set temperature.
  • After the set temperature is reached the red working light will go off. The green heating light will come on and the water's temperature will be maintained.

Never remove the lid while the device is heating!

The steam may cause burns to hands, arms and face!

  • Hot water can be used to prepare various beverages (tea, instant coffee, instant soup, etc.).
  • Remember that various types of tea brew best at different temperatures. Follow te manufacturer's instructions on the package.

  • To pour hot water, place an appropriate container (glass, cup, mug) under the spout. Press the spout lever down and hold it until the desired amount of water is poured.

When finished pouring, release the spout lever and the spout will close automatically.

CAUTION!

Never operate the device without water!

  • Before adding water turn the device off, carefully remove the cover, then pour in more water.

The water tank gets very hot when in use!

To avoid burns to fingers and hands, do not touch hot surfaces of the device!

When using the device, touch only the handles and switches.

After you have finished using the device, turn the temperature dial to the „OFF“ position by turning it counterclockwise, then turn the device off using the ON/OFF switch and remove its plug from the socket.
- Wait for any remaining water in the tank to cool, then pour it into another container.
- The device is equipped with an overheating/dry heating protection function. If the device is accidentally left on with too little or no water, this function will be activated and the device will turn off automatically.
- If the device is to remain unused for a longer period, turn it off via the ON/OFF switch, remove its plug from the socket and wait for it to cool.

After cooling, empty the tank and press the RESET button at the rear of the device. The device can then later be filled with fresh water and used again.

6. Cleaning and maintenance

6.1 Safety advice

Before beginning with repair or cleaning works make sure the device has been disconnected from power supply and has cooled down.
o Do not use any acid agents and make sure no water ingresses the device.
To protect yourself from electric shock, never immerse the device, its cables and the plug in water or other liquids.

The device is not suited for direct washing via water jets.

Therefore, you must not use any kind of pressure water jet for cleaning the device!

6.2 Cleaning and descaling

Regular cleaning

Clean the device after every use.
- Wash the inside of the water tank with a mild cleaning agent, then rinse with running water. To clean the water spout, run clean water through it.
o Wash the lid and rinse under running water.
o Clean the device's external surfaces with a moist, soft cloth and mild cleaning agent if needed.
Always use soft cloths, never use abrasive cleaners that could scratch the device.
After cleaning, dry the device and polish with a soft, dry cloth.

Dscaling

o Hard water may cause stone deposits to form in the water tank, lengthening the time needed to heat water and possibly causing damage to the device. Use filtered water if possible to avoid deposits forming!

Failure to conduct regular descaling in accordance with these instructions may void the warranty and result in returns being rejected!

Descale the device regularly!

o We recommend using citric acid or vinegar for ecological descaling. Prepare a mixture of water with vinegar (proportion 3:1) or water with citric acid (2 tablespoons per 1 liter of water) and fill the tank. Wait for one hour then boil the water.
Wait for the device to cool.
After cooling, pour out the descending solution and rinse the device several times with clean water. Drain the clean water through the pour spout to remove all leftovers.
Follow manufacturer's instructions if you choose to use a commercially available descaling product.

6.3 Safety instructions for maintenance

Inspect the power cable regularly for damage. Never use the device if the cable is damaged. If the power cable is damaged, have an authorised service center or qualified electrician replace it.
