USER MANUAL SC IR 812 N Efbe-Schott
Please read these instructions carefully before using the appliance.
- Only operate the appliance for the intended use as described in the manual.
If you hand over the appliance to another user, make sure to join the instruction manual.
Check that your mains voltage corresponds to that stated on the appliance.
Danger of burning! Make sure not to touch the hot surfaces of the appliance.

During use there is rising heat above the appliance. Caution! Hot surface!
□ Accessible surfaces (outer housing) can become very hot during use.
This appliance can be used by children over 8 years old and people with reduced physical, sensory or mental capacities or with a lack of experience or knowledge if they have been given supervision or instructions concerning the safe use of the appliance and the risks involved. Children shall not play with the appliance.
□ Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children unless they are older than 8 years and supervised.
- Keep the appliance and its cord out of reach of children less than 8 years.
- Never leave the appliance unsupervised when in use. Keep out of reach of children or incompetent persons.
From time to time check the cord for damages. Never use the appliance shows any signs of damages. Should
the cord be damaged, it must be competent qualified electrician (^) . All repairs should be made by a competend qualified electrician (^) .
In order to avoid electric shocks, never immerse the appliance in water or any other liquid for any reason whatsoever. Never place it into the dishwasher.
Unplug the appliance before cleaning it.

GENERAL INFORMATION
This infrared lamp is effective in the short-wave infrared area and therefore, it is very useful for heat radiation.
The infrared lamp gives full heating immediately after it has been switched on.
To obtain ideal heat radiation, keep a distance of at least 50cm (between the skin and the lamp).
You can perform heat radiation as often as you like. However, insert pauses of several hours between two radiations.
A radiation treatment of approximately 15 minutes is enough in most cases. Avoid too strong falls of temperature after the radiation.
In case you are suffering from serious pain, inflammations or symptoms of unknown nature, please contact your physician before use.
OPERATION
Please put the infrared lamp on a stable non-slip surface before use.
- Remove all packaging materials (carton strips) before using the appliance.
- Plug in the appliance.
- Bring the lamp to the desired radiation position (Caution: remove all inflammable objects and metal objects from the radiation area!).
- Orient the heat radiation towards the area that should be treated. The lamp's orientation can be adjusted vertically in three different positions. When the light is switched on, the temperature around the bulb might become very high. Therefore, when adjusting the orientation of the lamp, only take the lamp by its lateral side.
- Perform the radiation treatment (see general information).
Protect your eyes by closing them during the radiation treatment.
Unplug the appliance after use and let the appliance cool down for several minutes.
Then, insert the cord in the cord storage compartment and store the appliance.
