Frequently Asked Questions - 967675 Wetelux

How to install the Wetelux 967675 solar light?
Assemble the solar light according to the product illustration. Place the solar panel in a sunny location, preferably south-facing, without shade. Make sure the protective film on the solar panel has been removed. Set the slide switch to ON for charging and operation.
How to turn the solar light on and off?
Under the solar panel housing there is a slide switch labeled ON and OFF. In the ON position, the light turns on automatically at dusk and off at dawn. In the OFF position, the lights are off. Leave the switch on ON for automatic operation.
Which battery to use for replacement?
Use a rechargeable NiMH battery of type HR6 (AA), with a voltage of 1.2 V and a capacity of 400 mAh. Observe the polarity indicated in the compartment. Do not use non-rechargeable batteries.
How to replace the battery?
Open the solar panel housing as shown in the diagram (usually by sliding or unclipping the cover). Remove the old battery and insert a new NiMH AA 1.2 V / 400 mAh battery, observing polarity (+/-). Close the housing carefully.
What is the battery life of the solar light?
With a fully charged battery, the light can illuminate up to 8 hours per night. Actual battery life depends on the sunlight received during the day and the season.
Is the solar light waterproof?
Yes, it has an IP44 protection rating, making it weather-resistant (rain, snow). However, it should not be immersed in water or exposed to prolonged high humidity.
What to do if the light does not turn on at night?
First check that the switch is set to ON. Make sure the solar panel is clean and unobstructed (dirt, snow, ice). During winter or cloudy periods, the battery may be discharged; place the light in a sunnier location for a few days. If the problem persists, replace the battery with a new one.
Can the solar light be used in winter?
Yes, but performance is reduced due to lower sunlight and cold affecting the battery. If not used for a long period, clean it and store it in a dry, frost-free place. Remove the battery to avoid damage.
How to clean the solar light?
Clean the housing and the solar panel with a slightly damp cloth. If necessary, use a little dish soap. Never immerse the light in water and do not use abrasive or harsh chemicals that could damage the surfaces.
Where to place the solar light for optimal charging?
Place the solar panel in a location directly exposed to sunlight, without shade from trees, buildings, or other objects. Ideally orient it towards the south. Avoid overly shaded areas, as the light is not designed as a primary light source for very dark paths. A clear location ensures a full charge and maximum battery life.

Operation

Intended Use

The product is used as a decorative solar lamp for gardens or terraces. The solar panel integrated in the device charges the rechargeable battery during the hours of daylight. The solar light switches on the light automatically when darkness falls, and the rechargeable battery in the device provides the energy for the light. During the day, the solar light switches itself off automatically.

The solar light is designed for domestic use, and is not for use in commercial premises. Any use other than that described above is not permitted.

Assembling and Setting up

  • Assemble the parts to resemble the product picture.
  • The solar light is designed to resist the elements and is thus protected against dampness; it should not, however, be directly subjected to wetness or placed directly in water.
  • If the solar panel has been covered by a protective foil for protection during transit, remove it.

Operation

Below the solar panel housing is a slide switch labeled "ON" and "OFF". In the "ON" position the light is on, in the "OFF" position the lights are off. The slider must be set to "ON" for charging and operation.

Using the Solar Lamp

  • The performance of the solar lamp varies according to the season, and the duration and intensity of the sunlight reaching it.
  • In long periods of insufficient sunshine, the rechargeable battery may not charge up sufficiently to allow the lamp to illuminate for a longer length of time. The battery will then take in less energy during the day than they expend at night. This inevitably results in a reduction in the length of time that the light will work for. This could also mean that the battery run completely flat and become damaged as a result.
Take care that the solar panel does not become dirty and that it is kept free of snow and ice in winter. Otherwise, the performance of the solar panel could be affected. Cold temperatures affect the service life of the battery adversely.

Replacing the Battery

Open the LED housing as shown in the graphic and replace the rechargeable battery NiMH, HR6 (AA), 1.2 V, 400 mAh with a new one of the same type and capacity. Pay attention to the correct polarity, polarity symbols are located in the battery compartment.

Cleaning

  • Wipe the housing of the device with a lightly moistened cloth. Use detergent as needed. Do not immerse the device in water or any other liquid.
  • Do not clean the device with aggressive chemicals or abrasives in order not to damage the surfaces.
