Intended use
The product is a sun shade designed for outdoor use, such as on balconies or terraces, and manufactured for private use.
It is not intended for permanent outdoor use, as it is only weatherproof to a limited extent.
The product is not intended for commercial use.
Safety information
The assembly instructions must be read before the product is used.
Life-threatening hazard!
- Never leave children unattended with the packaging materials. There is a risk of suffocation.
- Warning! Risk of strangulation from the ties. Never leave children unattended with the product!
- The product must always be installed by specialist personnel or by somebody with the required technical expertise. Because of the risk of falling, make sure that the person installing the product is sufficiently secured with a harness.
- The product is not a toy or a climbing apparatus! Ensure that persons, especially children, do not pull themselves up on the product.
Risk of injury!
- The product may only be used under adult supervision and must not be used as a toy.
- Ensure the product is properly stabilised before using it.
- Keep open flames, barbecues and patio heaters away from the awning.
- Check that all parts have been properly assembled before each use. Improper installation can impair the safety and functionality of the product.
- The product must not be used in adverse weather conditions such as strong winds, rain or snow.
- Retract the product in the event of adverse weather conditions!
- Retract the awning in expected wind speeds greater than 20km/h (moderate breeze, moderate wind. The wind is moving tree limbs and thinner branches, raising dust and loose paper).
- Never use the product as shelter during storms.
• Always secure the product by fastening both ties onto the hooks.
- Retract and pull out the awning carefully to avoid injuries and crushing.
- The product offers protection from direct sunlight outdoors. Due to reflected UV radiation, appropriate sunscreen products should still be used.
- Check the product for damage or wear before each use. Check regularly to make sure all screws are tight! Only use the product if it is in perfect condition!
- The manufacturer accepts no liability for accidents which occur as a result of ignoring the safety information above or inappropriate handling.
⚠️ Preventing damage to the product!
- Check the product regularly for visible signs of wear and damage. Check the screwed connections regularly.
Installation
To install the product you will need the enclosed hex key (12), as well as the following tools (not included in the package contents): a suitable drill, measuring tape, a spanner and a cross-head screwdriver.
Warning: the product must always be installed by specialist personnel or by somebody with the required technical expertise. Because of the risk of falling, make sure that the person installing the product is sufficiently secured with a harness.
Important: at least two people are required to install the product, due to its size.
Note: the product can be mounted on the ceiling or on the wall. Only use suitable mounting materials for the installation.
Note: ask your local dealer about which mounting materials (wall plugs and screws) to use for your masonry.
Mounting on the ceiling

Mount both brackets (3) 1200-1300mm apart on the ceiling using the wall plugs (13), washers (6) and wall screws (14) (Fig. B).

Mount the awning box (1) on the brackets (3) and fasten it with the four setscrews (8) (Fig. C).
Mounting on the wall
- Screw the brackets (3) onto the wall bracket profile (4) (Fig. D).
- Mount both wall bracket profiles (4) 1200-1300mm apart on the wall using the wall plugs (13), washers (6) and wall screws (14).
- Mount the awning box (1) on the brackets (3) and fasten it with the four setscrews (8) (Fig. E).
Mounting the hooks
Use the screws (10) and wall plugs (11) provided to mount the hooks (5) (Fig. F).
Note: if necessary, use other wall plugs and screws if the mounting surface requires it.
Use (Fig. G)
- Hook the awning crank (2) into the awning box (1).
- Turn the awning crank (2) to open or close the product.
Warning: whenever the product is open, secure it by fastening both ties (1a) to the hooks (5).
Important: before each use, check that the ties (1a) are fastened to the eyelets as shown.
- Remove the awning crank (2) after each use and store it in a secure location.
Cleaning
Clean only with water and wipe dry afterwards with a cloth. IMPORTANT! Never clean the product with harsh cleaning agents. Leave the product open to dry.
Maintenance
- Regularly check the product for signs of wear or damage in order to ensure safe, risk-free use. If you discover any damage, hire a suitable specialist company to repair it. Awnings in need of repair must not be used.
- Only use replacement parts approved by the manufacturer. A suitable specialist company must be hired for removal and disposal.
- Any foreign objects on the awning cloth or awning box, such as leaves, must be removed immediately. These could damage the awning or cause it to fall.
Disposal
Dispose of the article and the packaging materials in accordance with current local regulations. Packaging materials such as foil bags are not suitable to be given to children.
Keep the packaging materials out of the reach of children.
Dispose of the products and the packaging in an environmentally friendly manner.
The recycling code is used to identify various materials for ling. The code consists of the ling symbol – which is meant lect the recycling cycle – and a er which identifies the material.
Notes on the guarantee and service handling
The product was produced with great care and under continuous quality control. DELTA-SPORT HANDELSKONTOR GmbH gives private end customers a three-year guarantee on this product from the date of purchase (guarantee period) in accordance with the following provisions. The guarantee is only valid for material and manufacturing defects. The guarantee does not cover parts subject to normal wear and tear that are thus considered wear parts (e.g. batteries) or fragile parts such as switches, rechargeable batteries, or parts made of glass.
Claims under this guarantee are excluded if the product has been used incorrectly, improperly, or contrary to the intended purpose, or if the provisions in the instructions for use were not observed, unless the end customer proves that a material or manufacturing defect exists that was not caused by one of the aforementioned circumstances.
Claims under the guarantee can only be made within the guarantee period by presenting the original sales receipt. Please therefore keep the original sales receipt.
The guarantee period is not extended by any repairs carried out under the guarantee, under statutory guarantees, or as a gesture of goodwill. This also applies to replaced and repaired parts.
If you wish to make a claim please first contact the service hotline mentioned below or contact us by e-mail. If there is a guarantee case, then the product will be repaired or replaced free of charge to you or the purchase price will be refunded, depending on our choice.
Your legal rights, in particular guarantee claims against the respective seller, are not limited by this guarantee.
