How to install the Charge Amps Amp Guard?

Installation must be carried out by a qualified electrician. The module mounts on a DIN rail in an electrical panel. Follow the provided installation guide and respect national standards.

How to connect the Amp Guard to the WiFi network?

The Amp Guard connects via WiFi or LAN. Use the mobile app or web interface to configure the network. A green LED indicates a successful cloud connection.

What do the current sensors measure?

The three current sensors measure the current on each phase (up to 63 A per phase). The 80 cm cable allows placing them around the main conductors.

How to interpret the LED indicators?

The illuminated logo indicates the device is powered on. Green = cloud connection OK, blue = connected to local network, off = no network. Voltage and current measurement LEDs: green = OK, red = phase error.

Can I use the Amp Guard with any charging station?

Yes, the Amp Guard is compatible with most electric vehicle charging stations. It acts as a power limiter to prevent overloads.

What is the supply voltage and frequency?

The Amp Guard operates on a voltage of 85 to 256 VAC, single-phase or three-phase, at 50 Hz. Module power is 12 VDC supplied by a mains adapter.

How to reset the Amp Guard?

Use the reset button located on top of the module (under the Charge Amps logo). Hold for 5 seconds to restore factory settings.

What are the required environmental conditions?

The device is designed for indoor use, with a temperature of -35°C to +55°C, humidity of 0 to 90%, and altitude up to 2000 m. Protection rating IP2X.

What to do if the voltage measurement LED is red?

A red LED indicates a phase order error. Check the wiring of the phases and the connection of the voltage measurement terminal block.

Can the Amp Guard be used outdoors?

No, the Amp Guard is intended for indoor installation (IP2X). Place it in an electrical panel protected from the weather.
