General Notes
Read the operating instructions carefully before putting the appliance into operation and keep the instructions including the warranty, the receipt and, if possible, the box with the internal packing. If you give this appliance to other people, please also pass on the operating instructions.
- The appliance is designed exclusively for private use and for the envisaged purpose. This appliance is not fit for commercial use.
- Do not use it outdoors. Keep it away from sources of heat, direct sunlight, humidity (never dip it into any liquid) and sharp edges. Do not use the appliance with wet hands. If the appliance is humid or wet, unplug it immediately.
- When cleaning or putting it away, switch off the appliance and always pull out the plug from the socket (pull the plug itself, not the lead) if the appliance is not being used and remove the attached accessories.
- Do not operate the appliance without supervision. If you leave the room you should always turn the appliance off. Remove the plug from the socket.
- The appliance and the mains lead have to be checked regularly for signs of damage. If damage is found the appliance must not be used.
- Use only original spare parts.
- In order to ensure your children's safety, please keep all packaging (plastic bags, boxes, polystyrene etc.) out of their reach.

Take care when using the appliance.

For your safety, this lock features a release mechanism. If the pressure in the boiler is still too high, the lock cannot be opened.

WARNING: Danger of burns!
Do not touch the hot surfaces. If you would like to change the accessories, please wait until the appliance has cooled down.
- The appliance must not be used if it has fallen down, shows obvious signs of damage or is leaking.
- The appliance must not be left unattended when connected to the mains.
- Keep the appliance out of reach of children when switched on or cooling down.
• Children shall not play with the appliance. - This appliance can be used by persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved.
- Never point the steam jet at persons or animals!
- The steam jet must not be pointed at electric appliances and equipment containing electric components (e. g. interior of ovens).
- The filling hole must not be opened during use.
- Always disconnect the mains plug after use and before filling in water. Refer to the instructions in chapter “Fill in Water”.
- Do not overfill! Do not exceed the maximum filling level for the water!
- Only operate the appliance with water in the tank.
- Do not repair the appliance by yourself. Always contact an authorized technician. If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard.

CAUTION:
This appliance is not intended to be immersed in water during cleaning. Please observe the instructions that we have included for you in the chapter “Cleaning”.

Unpacking the Appliance
- Remove the main appliance and accessories from the box.
- Also remove any packaging materials that may be present.
- Check the scope of delivery.
Initial Operation
Fill in Water

NOTE:
- The maximum filling capacity is approx. 250 ml. Use the measuring cup provided.
- Recommendation: Use distilled water to prevent calcification.

CAUTION:
Do not use battery water, water from tumble dryers or water with additives such as cleaning agents, alcohol, fabric softener or other chemicals. They could cause hazards or damage to the appliance.

WARNING: Risk of injury!
- Disconnect the mains plug from the wall socket.

- The appliance can be opened only when the pressure has been relieved. Unlock the lock by pushing it to ON and holding it there. Then press down the steam button.

If the appliance is still warm, wait approx. 5 minutes until removing the lid.

Unscrew the lid anticlockwise to remove it.
-
Pour any remaining water from the boiler in order to avoid overfilling.
-
Use the funnel to fill the boiler with a maximum of approx. 250 ml of water.
-
Attach the lid again by turning it clockwise.
Installation of Accessories

NOTE:
Observe the arrow markings on both the appliance and accessories.
- Insert the locking catches of the hose as far as they will go into the connecting tip of the appliance. Secure the hose by turning it clockwise.
- Insert the locking catches of one of the attachments as far as they will go into the connecting tip of the hose. Secure the attachment by turning it clockwise.
- You may also connect the attachments directly to the appliance. Connect as described above.
- Attach the angled nozzle or the circular brush on top of the nozzle adapter, if required.
- In order to clean sensitive surfaces, attach the fleece cloth to the cleaning attachment.
- In order to use the window cleaning attachment, hook it into the cleaning attachment (without the fleece cloth).
Electrical Connection
- Before inserting the plug into the socket. Make sure that the mains voltage to be used matches that of the appliance You can find this information on the nameplate.
- Connect the appliance to a duly installed protective contact socket.
Using the Appliance

WARNING: Risk of scalding!
Keep the appliance straight. Tilting the appliance by more than 45^ can cause hot water to leak from the appliance.

CAUTION:
Before you begin cleaning you should test the materials to be cleaned as to their suitability for cleaning with steam. Do not hold the steam nozzle for too long and too close in one position.
- When the plug is connected to a wall socket, the water in the boiler starts heating up. The heating control lamp lights up.
- Pressure starts building up in the boiler after approx. 3 – 4 minutes. When the appliance is ready for use, the control lamp turns off.
- Unlock the lock by pushing it to ON and holding it there. Then press down the steam button to generate pressure.

NOTE:
Using the appliance with the maximum water amount and in continuous operation will allow for steam generation of up to 10 minutes.
Filling the Water Tank during Operation
No steam will be discharged if the water tank is empty. The water has to be filled up as follows:
- Remove the mains plug from the socket!
- Fill fresh water into the tank as described in the chapter "Fill in Water" (steps 1 – 7).
- Connect the mains plug to the wall socket to continue operation.
When you have finished using the Appliance
- Remove the mains plug from the socket!
- Let the appliance cool down completely.
- Empty the water tank.
Cleaning

WARNING:
• Always remove the mains plug before cleaning the appliance.
- Wait until the appliance has cooled down.
- Under no circumstances should you immerse the appliance in water for cleaning purposes. Otherwise this might result in an electric shock or fire.

CAUTION:
- Do not use a wire brush or any abrasive items.
- Do not use any acidic or abrasive detergents.
- Before the appliance is put away or cleaned it must have completely cooled down.
- Clean the appliance and accessories with a slightly damp cloth.
- The fleece cloth can be machine-washed at 60 °C. Do not dry in a tumble dryer.
- Regularly remove lime deposit from the boiler in order to ensure a long service life for the appliance. When doing so, use clean water without any additives.
