How to adjust the temperature on the Polar CC605?

Press SET for 3 seconds to enter the menu. Use the arrow keys to display 'F' then press SET. Adjust the desired temperature with the keys and confirm with SET. The unit resumes normal operation after 30 seconds.

What to do if the appliance is not cooling enough?

Check that the doors are closed properly and that the seals are in good condition. Clean the condenser (at the back) with a soft brush or vacuum cleaner. Make sure the appliance is not near a heat source and that air circulates freely.

How to start a manual defrost?

Press and hold the defrost button for 3 seconds. The defrost indicator lights up. To stop defrosting, press and hold the button again for 3 seconds.

How to clean the inside of the refrigerator?

Turn off and unplug the appliance. Clean with soapy water and a soft cloth. Do not use abrasive products. Dry thoroughly after cleaning.

What to do in case of unusual noise?

Check that the appliance is on a flat and stable surface. Move any object in contact with the appliance away. If the noise persists, contact a qualified technician.

How to replace the interior bulb?

Allow the bulb to cool before touching it. Turn off and unplug the appliance. Unplug the bulb from its holder and insert a new bulb of the same type.

What is the minimum distance to maintain around the appliance?

Allow at least 20 cm of space between the appliance and walls or other objects to ensure proper air circulation.

How to clean the condenser?

The condenser is located at the back of the appliance. Use a soft brush or vacuum cleaner to remove dust without damaging the fins. Do this regularly to extend the life of the appliance.

Why does the displayed temperature not match the actual temperature?

The displayed temperature is the set point. The internal temperature may vary depending on the load, door openings, and ventilation. Allow time for the appliance to stabilize after each opening.

What to do in case of a power outage?

Avoid opening the doors unnecessarily. The internal temperature will remain stable for several hours if the appliance is well closed. When power returns, check the condition of the food.

Installation

Note: If the unit has not been stored or moved in an upright position, let it stand upright for approximately 12 hours before operation. If in doubt allow to stand.

1. Remove the appliance from the packaging and the protective film from all surfaces.
2. Avoid positioning the appliance in direct sunlight or damp areas.
3. Maintain a distance of 20cm (7 inches) between the unit and walls or other objects for ventilation. NEVER LOCATE NEXT TO OR NEAR A HEAT SOURCE.
4. Insert the slide-out shelf/shelves at the desired levels.
5. If necessary, adjust the screw feet of the appliance to make it level.

Note: Before using the appliance for the first time, clean the shelves and interior with soapy water.

Operation

Control Panel

The control panel is located below the doors on the front of the appliance.

Cooling Light Defrost Light

SET SET ETC-60HT

Turn On

1. Close the door of the appliance.
2. Connect the appliance to a mains power supply.
3. Switch on the Power switch [I].

Note: The Cooling Light is illuminated when the appliance is chilling the interior cabinet.

How To Change The Set Temperature

The default operating temperature is 2 °C. To change the operating temperature:

1. Press SET for 3 seconds starts to blink.
2. Press ▲ until ▼ is shown, Press SET to confirm.
3. You are now in the menu and will see FDI blinking.
4. Press to show (temperature set point). Press SET to confirm.
5. Adjust temperature to required temperature. Press SET to store set point.
6. Unit will resume normal operations after 30 seconds.

Manual Defrost

- POLAR Back Bar Chillers feature an automatic defrost. However, should the appliance require an additional defrost period press and hold the

button for 3 seconds.

- Press and hold the button for 3 seconds to stop defrosting.

Note: If a manual defrost is started this resets the automatic defrost timer. During defrost periods the Defrost light is illuminated.

Cleaning, Care & Maintenance

• Switch off and disconnect from the power supply before cleaning.
• Clean the interior of the appliance as often as possible.
• Do not use abrasive cleaning agents. These can leave harmful residues.
  • Always wipe dry after cleaning.
• A POLAR agent or qualified technician must carry out repairs if required.

Cleaning the Condenser

Periodically cleaning the condenser can extend the life of the appliance. The condenser is located at the back of the appliance.

Note: Use a soft brush or vacuum cleaner to clean the fins of the condenser, taking care not to damage the fins.

Replacing the Interior Lamp (for CC601, CC605, CB929\~CB932)

WARNING: Allow the lamp to cool before replacing. The lamp remains hot immediately after use.

1. Turn Off and disconnect the appliance from the mains power supply.
2. Unplug the lamp from the socket.
3. Insert the new lamp into place.

Electrical Wiring

POLAR appliances are supplied with a 3 pin, moulded, BS1363 plug and lead, with a 3 amp fuse as standard.

The plug is to be connected to a suitable mains socket.

POLAR appliances are wired as follows:

• Live wire (coloured brown) to terminal marked L
• Neutral wire (coloured blue) to terminal marked N
• Earth wire (coloured green/yellow) to terminal marked E

This appliance must be earthed.

If in doubt consult a qualified electrician.

Electrical isolation points must be kept clear of any obstructions. In the event of any emergency disconnection being required they must be readily accessible.

Disposal

EU regulations require refrigeration product to be disposed of by specialist companies who remove or recycle all gasses, metal and plastic components.

Consult your local waste collection authority regarding disposal of your appliance. Local authorities are not obliged to dispose of commercial refrigeration equipment but may be able to offer advice on how to dispose of the equipment locally.
