Safety advice and warnings

1. Read these instructions carefully before switching on the appliance and keep them for future reference. Failure to follow and observe these instructions could lead to an accident.

Clean all the parts of the product that will be in contact with food, as indicated in the cleaning section, before use.

1. This appliance shall not be used by children. Keep the appliance and its cord out of reach of children.
2. This appliance can be used by people with reduced physical, sensory or mental

capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved.

1. This appliance is not a toy. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
2. Be careful if hot liquid is poured into the food processor or blender as it can be ejected out of the appliance due to a sudden steaming.
   72 Blades are sharp and could cause harm, be careful and avoid direct contact with the blades' cutting edges.
3. Pay special attention when handling the blades, during assembly and disassembly operations, emptying the bowl and during cleaning.
4. Always switch off the appliance and disconnect from

supply if it is left
unattended and before
changing accessories
or approaching
parts that move in
use, assembling,
disassembling and
cleaning.

1. If the connection to the mains has been damaged, it must be replaced, take the appliance to an authorised technical support service. Do not attempt to disassemble or repair the appliance by yourself in order to avoid a hazard.

2. This appliance is for household use only, not professional, industrial use.

3. Ensure that the voltage indicated on the rating label matches the mains voltage before plugging in the appliance.

4. Connect the appliance to a socket that can supply a minimum of 10 amperes.
5. The appliance's plug must fit into the mains socket properly. Do not alter the plug. Do not use plug adaptors.
6. The appliance must be used and placed on a flat, stable surface.

7. Do not use the appliance if the cable or plug is damaged.

8. If any of the appliance casings breaks, immediately disconnect the appliance from the mains to prevent the possibility of an electric shock.

9. Do not use the appliance if it has fallen on the floor, if there are visible signs of damage or if it has a leak.
10. Do not wrap the power cord around the appliance.
11. Do not touch the plug with wet hands.

USE AND CARE

• Do not use the appliance if its accessories are not properly fitted.
• Do not use the appliance if the accessories attached to it are defective. Replace them immediately.
• Do not use the appliance if it is empty.
• Do not use the appliance if the on/off switch does not work.
• Do not use the appliance if it is tipped up and do not turn it over.
• Store this appliance out of reach of children and/or persons with physical, sensory or reduced mental or lack of experience and knowledge.
• Never use liquids that are boiling.
• Check that the lid is closed properly before starting the appliance.
• Do not use the appliance for more than 1 minute at any one time.

Service

• Any misuse or failure to follow the instructions for use renders the guarantee and the manufacturer's liability null and void.

Instructions for use

BEFOREUSE

• Make sure that all products' packaging has been removed.
  Before using the product for the first time, clean the parts that will come into contact with food in the manner described in the cleaning section.

USE

• Extend the cable completely before plugging it in.
• Connect the appliance to the mains.

EXTRACTING FUNCTION

• Fill ingredients into the tall or short cup.
• Twist on the extractor blade.

• Place the cup onto the base. Press down and twist to lock the motor on.

• You can see the extraction process happening. Keep an eye on the consistency. The smoothy is ready when it looks smooth and creamy.

MILLING FUNCTION

• Fill ingredients into the short cup.
  Twist on the milling blade.
• Place the cup onto the base. Press down and twist to lock the motor on.
• Mill your ingredients until you achieve the desired consistency.

SHAKE TECHNIQUE

• Sometimes, if you over fill the cups with ingredients or don't put enough water, the results can increase the density of the mixture. This makes it hard for the ingredients toward the top of the cup to make it down to the blade. If some of your ingredients are having a hard time making it down to the blade, simply do the following steps:

• Remove the cup and blade assembly from the power base.

• With the cup and blade assembly in hand, shake it like a cocktail shaker. Then put it back on the power base.

ONCE YOU HAVE FINISHED USING THE APPLIANCE

• To stop the appliance, remove the cup from the base by turning it counter-clockwise.
• Unplug the appliance from the mains.
  Clean the appliance.

SAFETY THERMAL PROTECTOR

• The appliance has a safety device, which protects the appliance from overheating.
  If the appliance turns itself off and does not switch itself on again, disconnect it from the mains supply, and wait for approximately 15 minutes before reconnecting. If the machine does not start again seek authorised technical assistance.

Cleaning

• Disconnect the appliance from the mains and allow it to cool before undertaking any cleaning task.
  Clean the equipment with a damp cloth with a few drops of washing-up liquid and then dry.
• Do not use solvents, or products with an acid or base pH such as bleach, or abrasive products, for cleaning the appliance.
• Do not let water or any other liquid get into the air vents to avoid damage to the inner parts of the appliance.
• Never submerge the appliance in water or any other liquid or place it under running water.
  During the cleaning process, take special care with the blades, as they are very sharp.
• It is advisable to clean the appliance regularly and remove any food remains.
  If the appliance is not in good condition of cleanliness, its surface may degrade and inexorably affect

the duration of the appliance's useful life and could become unsafe to use.

• The following pieces may be washed in a dishwasher (using a soft cleaning program):

• Tall cup

• Short cup
  -Lids

SELF CLEANING FUNCTION

• For tough debris, fill the cup 12 full with warm (not hot), mild soapy water. Then, simply twist on the blade, pop it on the base and give it a run for 30-45 seconds.

Anomalies and repair

Take the appliance to an authorised technical support service if product is damaged or other problems arise. Do not attempt to disassemble or repair the appliance yourself as this may be dangerous.
