• This device smoothes fabrics using steam. In addition, it is suitable for removing fl uff and unpleasant odours from clothing, upholstery, cushions, curtains, etc.

• The device is not suitable for removing marks or stains.

• The device is for personal use only and is not intended for commercial applications.

• The device should only be used as described in the operating instructions. Any other use is deemed to be improper.

• The warranty does not cover faults caused by incorrect handling, damage, calcifi ca- tion or attempted repairs. The same applies to normal wear and tear. Safety Notices

This device works with hot steam! Operate the device with caution. ■ The device must always be disconnected from the mains power when it is not being used and before assembling, disassembling or cleaning the device. ■ The device must not be used if it has been dropped, if obvious signs of damage are visible and if it has leaks. ■ Do not make any modifi cations to the device. If the connecting cable of this device is damaged, it must be replaced by the man- ufacturer, customer service department or a similarly qualifi ed person (e.g. specialist workshop) in order to avoid any hazards. ■ Allow the device to cool down completely before the water tank is emptied and / or the device is cleaned and stored away. ■ It is essential to follow the instructions in the “Cleaning and Stor- age” chapter. DANGER – Danger of Electric Shock ■ Use the device only in closed rooms. ■ Do not use the device in rooms with high humidity. ■ Never immerse the device and the connecting cable in water or other liquids and ensure that they cannot fall into water or become wet. ■ Should the device fall into water, switch off the power supply immediately. Do not attempt to pull it out of the water while it is still connected to the mains power! ■ Never touch the device and the connecting cable with wet hands when the device is connected to the mains power. ■ Never direct the steam directly at the connecting cable or parts containing electrical components (such as inside ovens, fridges, at switches and lights, microwave ovens). ■ Never exceed the maximum fi ll level of the water tank to prevent overfl owing (note the MAX marking on the measuring cup!). WARNING – Danger of Injury ■ Danger of suff ocation! Keep children and animals away from the packaging mate- rial. ■ Danger of scalding from hot steam! ■ Never attempt to smooth clothes while somebody is wearing them. ■ Never aim the steam directly at people, animals or plants. CAUTION: hot surfaces! The steam bottom of the device and the attachment used may become hot during use. You should therefore only hold the device by the handle when you are operating it. Make sure that the connecting cable is always kept out of the reach of small children and animals. ■ Danger of tripping! Make sure that the connecting cable does not present a trip hazard. WARNING – Danger of Fire ■ Do not use the device in rooms containing easily ignitable dust or poisonous and explosive fumes. ■ Do not connect the device along with other consumers (with a high wattage) to a mul- tiple socket in order to prevent overloading and a possible short circuit (fi re). ■ Do not operate the device in the vicinity of combustible material. ■ Immediately after smoothing, place the still hot device down a minimum distance of 15 cm away from walls, furniture and other objects. NOTICE – Risk of Damage to Material and Property ■ Only connect the device to a plug socket that is properly installed and matches the technical data of the device. The plug socket must also be readily accessible after connection so that the connection to the mains can quickly be isolated. ■ Do not use the device in conjunction with extension cables. ■ Lay the connecting cable in such a way that it does not become squashed or bent and does not come into contact with hot surfaces (also applies to the hot surfaces of the device!). The connecting cable should not hang down from the surface on which the device is placed in order to prevent the device from being pulled down. ■ Never cover up the steam nozzles and do not insert any objects into them. ■ Pull the mains plug out of the plug socket if an error occurs during operation, when there is a power cut or before a thunderstorm. ■ Never pull or carry the device by the connecting cable. When you pull it out of the plug socket, always pull on the mains plug and never the mains cable! Never wind it around the device. ■ Protect the device from other heat sources, naked fl ames, sub-zero temperatures, persistent moisture, wet conditions and impacts. ■ Use only original accessories from the manufacturer in order to guarantee that there is no interference that may prevent the device from working and to avoid possible damage. Attaching / Detaching Attachments PLEASE NOTE! ■ CAUTION – Danger of Burns! Shortly after use, the attachment used may still be very hot. Wait until the device and the attachment used have cooled down completely before removing them.

• Detaching: Pull the tab on the top of the attachment forwards and remove the at- tachment (Picture A). Filling the Water Tank PLEASE NOTE! ■ Never pour any descaling or cleaning agent or other chemical additives into the water tank. This may destroy the device and safe working is no longer guaranteed. ■ Pour no more than 350 ml of water into the water tank.

• Water residues in the water tank are attributable to the fact that this device has been tested and do not constitute a defect.

• The device can be operated with tap water or distilled water. However, if you use tap water, the device will need to be regularly descaled (see the “Clean- ing and Storage” chapter – “Descaling”).

1. Fill the measuring cup (A) up to the MAX marking with water.

2. Pull the water tank cap (in the bottom) out of the water tank (C). Please note that it

cannot be completely detached.

3. Carefully pour the water from the measuring cup into the water tank (note the MAX

4. Place the water tank cap back into the opening. Make sure that the water tank is

fi rmly sealed shut. Use PLEASE NOTE! ■ CAUTION – Danger of Scalding! The water tank cap must not be opened during use. ■ The device must be placed down on a stable, water-resistant and heat-resistant sur- face. Do not turn the hot device upside down or place it on its side. Hot water could run out. ■ Only use the device in places where heat and moisture cannot cause any damage. Never use in front of surfaces made from glass or plastic. ■ Before using the device, read the care instructions for the fabric which is to be smoothed. Some fabrics, leather and suede as well as fabrics with fl ounces, sequins and appliqués must not be steamed! ■ Always test the device fi rst on a small, inconspicuous spot on the clothing. ■ Do not iron over zips, studs, clips etc. to prevent any scratching of the steam bottom. ■ Never use the device without water to prevent damage to the device!

1. Hang up the hanger containing the item of clothing in such a way that there is plenty

of space around the item of clothing which is to be smoothed. It must not come into contact with other items of clothing, objects, people or animals.

2. Attach the attachment you want (see the “Attaching / Detaching Attachments” chapter).

3. Pour water into the water tank (C) (see the “Filling the Water Tank” chapter).

4. Insert the water tank into the holder for the water tank (7). Insert it so that the

marking on the device points towards the position on the water tank. Turn the water tank clockwise so that the marking points towards the position. The water tank is now fi xed in the holder (Picture B).

5. Plug the mains plug into a properly installed plug socket that is easily accessible.

button (2). The red control lamp (4) fl ashes and the device starts to heat up. When the control lamp is permanently lit, the device is ready for use. CAUTION – Danger of Scalding! Only use the device when the control lamp is permanently lit. Operating temperature has then been reached. If the device is used before the control lamp is constantly lit, hot water may escape.

7. Set the steam level you want by pressing the

button several times. There are two steam levels which are displayed via the colour of the steam lamp (3): Press 1 x green max. 17 g / min Press 2 x blue max. 25 g / min Press 3 x off device is heating but does not produce any steam

8. Move the attachment or the steam bottom (1) in strokes over the fabric

. The device emits steam continuously. It is important for the attachment to touch the fabric so that it is smoothed.

9. During prolonged use the device switches to standby mode after approx. 10 minutes. By

pressing the button again, steam can be generated again.

10. After use or if there are lengthy pauses, switch off the device by pressing the

but- ton for approx. 3 seconds. If the device is in standby mode for more than 30 minute, it will switch off automatically.

11. Remove the mains plug from the plug socket.

• Delicate items of clothing should always be steamed inside out.

• Trousers are easier to smooth if they are hung up by the trouser legs.

• The device without an attachment is suitable for freshening up items of clothing such as blouses, shirts (e.g. made of cotton or similar materials) or for curtains.

• The brush attachment (E) is suitable for freshening up home textiles such as uphol- stery, curtains and similar items (Picture C).

• The fi bre brush attachment (F) can be used to smooth and freshen up items of clothing made from cotton, silk etc. as well as fi ner fabrics (Picture D).

• The device can be folded up to make it easier to store or to transport it. To do this, press the release button (6) and twist the handle (5) anticlockwise (Picture E). PLEASE NOTE: The water tank (C) must not be mounted on the device. Turn the handle clockwise before using it again. The release button is automatically released and reverts back to its starting position.

• If the water tank should not be available, e.g. when travelling, the device can also be used with the adapter (D) and a standard bottle with a screw cap: – Guide the adapter into a bottle fi lled with water and turn it clockwise to secure it in place. 02979_inlay_DE-EN-FR-NL_A5_V1.indb 1702979_inlay_DE-EN-FR-NL_A5_V1.indb 17 19.11.2019 12:02:4219.11.2019 12:02:42EN 18 – Insert the adapter into the holder (7) so that the marking on the device points towards the position on the adapter. Turn the adapter clockwise so that the marking on the device points towards the position on the adapter. The adapter is now fi xed in the holder (Picture F). – Use the device in the manner described in the “Use” chapter. Cleaning and Storage PLEASE NOTE! ■ Do not use any caustic or abrasive cleaning agents to clean the device. These may damage the surface.

1. Make sure that the mains plug has been pulled out of the plug socket.

2. Place the device on a water-resistant and heat-resistant surface and allow it to cool

3. Detach the water tank (C) from the device by turning it anticlockwise so that the mark-

ing on the device points towards the position on the water tank.

4. Pull the water tank cap out of the water tank and allow any remaining water to run

out of the water tank.

5. Insert the water tank again (see the “Use” chapter) and operate the device again for a

short time in order to allow any remaining amounts of water to evaporate.

6. If necessary, brush fl uff and other contamination off the attachments. The attach-

ments can also be rinsed with water. Then allow them to dry thoroughly.

7. If necessary, wipe down the outside of the device with a soft, slightly damp cloth and

then dry it with a soft cloth.
