This device works with hot steam! Operate the device with caution. ■ The device must always be disconnected from the mains power when it is not being used and before assembling, disassembling or cleaning the device. ■ The device must not be used if it has been dropped, if obvious signs of damage are visible and if it has leaks. ■ Do not make any modifi cations to the device. CAUTION: hot surfaces! The steam bottom of the device and the attachment used may become hot during use. You should therefore only hold the device by the handle when you are operating it. Make sure that the connecting cable is always kept out of the reach of small children and animals. ■ Danger of tripping! Make sure that the connecting cable does not present a trip hazard. WARNING – Danger of Fire ■ Do not use the device in rooms containing easily ignitable dust or poisonous and explosive fumes. ■ Do not connect the device along with other consumers (with a high wattage) to a mul- tiple socket in order to prevent overloading and a possible short circuit (fi re). ■ Do not operate the device in the vicinity of combustible material. ■ Immediately after smoothing, place the still hot device down a minimum distance of 15 cm away from walls, furniture and other objects. NOTICE – Risk of Damage to Material and Property ■ Only connect the device to a plug socket that is properly installed and matches the technical data of the device. The plug socket must also be readily accessible after connection so that the connection to the mains can quickly be isolated. ■ Do not use the device in conjunction with extension cables. ■ Lay the connecting cable in such a way that it does not become squashed or bent and does not come into contact with hot surfaces (also applies to the hot surfaces of the device!). Never wind it around the device. ■ Protect the device from other heat sources, naked fl ames, sub-zero temperatures, persistent moisture, wet conditions and impacts. ■ Use only original accessories from the manufacturer in order to guarantee that there is no interference that may prevent the device from working and to avoid possible damage. Attaching / Detaching Attachments PLEASE NOTE! ■ CAUTION – Danger of Burns! Shortly after use, the attachment used may still be very hot. Wait until the device and the attachment used have cooled down completely before removing them.

  • Detaching: Pull the tab on the top of the attachment forwards and remove the at- tachment (Picture A). Filling the Water Tank PLEASE NOTE! ■ Never pour any descaling or cleaning agent or other chemical additives into the water tank. This may destroy the device and safe working is no longer guaranteed. ■ Pour no more than 350 ml of water into the water tank.
  • Water residues in the water tank are attributable to the fact that this device has been tested and do not constitute a defect.
  • The device can be operated with tap water or distilled water. However, if you use tap water, the device will need to be regularly descaled (see the “Clean- ing and Storage” chapter – “Descaling”).

Some fabrics, leather and suede as well as fabrics with fl ounces, sequins and appliqués must not be steamed! ■ Always test the device fi rst on a small, inconspicuous spot on the clothing. ■ Do not iron over zips, studs, clips etc. to prevent any scratching of the steam bottom. ■ Never use the device without water to prevent damage to the device!

1. Hang up the hanger containing the item of clothing in such a way that there is plenty

of space around the item of clothing which is to be smoothed. It must not come into contact with other items of clothing, objects, people or animals.

2. Attach the attachment you want (see the “Attaching / Detaching Attachments” chapter).

4. Insert the water tank into the holder for the water tank (7). Insert it so that the

marking on the device points towards the position on the water tank. Turn the water tank clockwise so that the marking points towards the position. The water tank is now fi xed in the holder (Picture B).

  • Delicate items of clothing should always be steamed inside out.
  • Trousers are easier to smooth if they are hung up by the trouser legs.
  • The device without an attachment is suitable for freshening up items of clothing such as blouses, shirts (e.g. made of cotton or similar materials) or for curtains.
  • The brush attachment (E) is suitable for freshening up home textiles such as uphol- stery, curtains and similar items (Picture C).
  • The fi bre brush attachment (F) can be used to smooth and freshen up items of clothing made from cotton, silk etc. as well as fi ner fabrics (Picture D).
  • The device can be folded up to make it easier to store or to transport it. To do this, press the release button (6) and twist the handle (5) anticlockwise (Picture E). PLEASE NOTE: The water tank (C) must not be mounted on the device. Turn the handle clockwise before using it again. The release button is automatically released and reverts back to its starting position.

Turn the adapter clockwise so that the marking on the device points towards the position on the adapter. The adapter is now fi xed in the holder (Picture F). – Use the device in the manner described in the “Use” chapter. Cleaning and Storage PLEASE NOTE! ■ Do not use any caustic or abrasive cleaning agents to clean the device. These may damage the surface.

6. If necessary, brush fl uff and other contamination off the attachments. The attach-

ments can also be rinsed with water. Then allow them to dry thoroughly.

7. If necessary, wipe down the outside of the device with a soft, slightly damp cloth and

then dry it with a soft cloth.

8. Store the device in a clean, dry place that is protected from sunlight and is not acces-
